Pros: Lucia and Sara were very special staff. From breakfast in garden, to securing a private tour driver for us, every day was perfect. Lucia provides details for bus, train, ferry , and nearby restaurants. Location was perfect for us to walk to many sites, but did not have to navigate the alleys at night because location was close to Via Roma
Cons: No complaints. Everything worked here!
10.0 Excellent

Pros: Nice clean bright room, good breakfast, good location near center and harbour
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Proximity to pier (dock)
Cons: Relatively far from train station. Obviously, we can’t have both- close to dock and train station!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The property is very modern and clean. The owner was very helpful and nice. Highly recommended
Cons: The water pressure of the hot water is quite low and you waste some water until it heats up but I really can’t complain about much. This is merely a recommendation to improve it to reduce wasted water
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lucia was an amazing hostess! She gave us a very warm welcome and got in contact with us before we arrived to give us some information about parking. She provided lots of information on what to see and do in Salerno as well as restaurant recommendations. The breakfast in the morning was great and even put our initials on the cappuccinos which was a lovely touch. Excellent location to everything. No faults at all.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lucia was very welcoming and gave excellent advice regarding Salerno sights, restaurants and how to get to Amalfi (Disneyland!).
Cons: Poor wifi in bedroom but fine in common space.

Pros: The place is new and super clean. Bed was comfortable and I slept on it very well. The owner was super welcoming but never invasive. The train station is neither 10 minutes away by walking. The main walking road is just 5 minutes away by foot.
Cons: I can't really think of anything!!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean and equipped with sufficient amenities. Breakfast was good - with a flakey croissant and homemade cappuccino! The host was friendly, he even made calls for us to ask if the ferry runs on the day we check-out.
Cons: Found some ants on the floor...not a big deal, though. The location of the B&B is 15-min away from Salerno train station, but considering the slope along the way, it's a bit tiring to reach there especially when you have a large luggage with you.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very nice, helpful staff, definitely would recommend.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Enzo was so helpful and made us feel very welcome. He gave great local information and helped organise our pick up from Naples airport. Our room was spacious and we could use the full kitchen facilities if we liked. The location is really convenient - we enjoyed staying here a lot.

B&b Adelberga - Salerno - Building
3
9.3 Excellent (107 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at B&B Adelberga in Salerno (Historical Downtown Salerno), you'll be steps from Complex of San Pietro a Corte and Church of San Giorgio.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The owner is so kind and helpful. He was a very good person.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Ideally located, Cosy, warm , clean , quiet and the host very helpful .
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location is about 20 minutes walk from Salerno station, costs Euro 11 for taxi. It's in the heart of the shopping areas and close to ferry port and some tourists spots. Room was made up and cleaned daily. Breakfast was standard fare with bread, yogurt, fruit, coffee, some cold meat. You'll need to ask host for anything specific - butter, salt/pepper. Eggs were given on two days. Host provided maps and directions as well as some info on tourist spots but you should go to the tourist information center for current events/fares/schedules of ferries etc. Host assisted in getting us our early morning taxi ride when leaving. It's a safe place so long as one remembers the rules to lock up.
Cons: The wifi was slow and hard to connect inside room. One had to come out at close range to the wifi router for better connectivity. It would be helpful for the host to get a wifi extender and higher speed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything lovely rooms. Location. And the host.
Cons: Nothing all good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property was in an excellent location and was as advertised. Ludovico was an excellent host - very personable, helpful and hospitable. He was helpful in arranging transportation and offered good suggestions.

Pros: Good breakfasts. Additional sitting room. Friendly and helpful owner
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The host was very friendly and helpful, yet a bit tiresome. The location was nice, the apartment was clean and good looking.
Cons: We didn't like the fact that were more guests in the same apartment and we were not informed about it.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Thanks to the owner of the B&B, I had a very good experience in Salerno. He is very nice, and always ready to help. Good breakfast. He kindly offered me a cup of espresso.
Cons: Room is a bit dark and old.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great spot. Clean, comfortable contomporary room with plenty of space. Good bed, good bathroom and nice little balcony. Owner was courteous, freindly and helpful plus speaks English well if needed.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The owner, Ludovico, is super nice and ready to meet your requests - e.g. agreed to check us out a little later, told everything about the area and what to see on Amalfi Coast etc. The apartment is located in an old 17th century building with vintage high ceilings and is very good looking, with antique and modern furniture combined. It is also located in the old town, so all the main things to see and good restaurants are nearby. Ludovico advised such a good restaurant nearby (Il Caminetto), that we've dined there for 5 days staight.
Cons: For those who plan to go out of Salerno often, the station and ferry stop are a little far (15-17 minute walk). But the walk is along the shore or the main merchant street, so it wasn't too exhausting.

Cons: Room is pretty basic. Shower area had draining issue. But is not major problem.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Although only here for 1 night, the location is directly across from the train station and about an 8 minute walk to the ferry to Positano. It is right on the pedestrian street with plenty of restaurants and coffee shops. The breakfast was great and they will make whatever type of coffee you prefer. Staff is great! The beds were firm but the pillows were softer. Would stay here again.

Pros: It's centrally located to the Salerno train station and Salerno port to the amalfi coast. You use this hotel to simply drop off your luggage, sleep and showrrz

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The amazing room
Cons: I liked it all
6.3 Good
Pros: Location was perfect. Staff were pleasant and the food was beautiful in the restaurant.
Cons: The room was nice but I booked a double room. When they saw I was on my own they gave me 2 single beds but charged me a double room price. The way to the rooms is run down and possibly being remodelled.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: This was slight but quite adequate. A bus driver had broken a wheel off one of our cases and the manager wired it back on and gave us a lift to the railway station when we left. This was a great help and not offered by the other two hotels. The hotel had its own restaurant, coffee etc, and is excellently positioned for seeing the great sites and gardens of the city. A most helpful staff.
Cons: Once we had brought in the chairs from the balcony we were well set up for comfort and convenience as the weather was quite cold although sunny
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were comfortable and plenty of light in it, we were above the pub kings cross and resteraunts but not a problem at all with any noise, lovely light breakfast to start the day off , only 15 min walk to ferrys to explore the coast And bus and train terminal only ten min walk away. Would definitely return , lots of side street with local bars in and fast food.
Cons: We had to ask the bar staff to replenish the breakfast every morning ,breakfast 7.30 till 10.30 and we were down for 9.30 and nothing but a couple of eggs available but we asked for the food to be replenished and only then did it happen , didn't seem to be anyone in charge of breakfast

Pros: Staff was really helpful. Local Pizza was excellent. If you have celiac disease or food allergies this is really good choise.
Cons: The Irish Pub downstairs had music and karaoke bit too loud. A bit too many stairs to 3rd floor.
6.7 Good
Pros: Charming, oldfashioned room.
Cons: Loud traffic noise and a lock system that made us take with everything important
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff answered my questions about the tourist places to see and helped me get there. They’re very accommodating.
Cons: Too many people smoke in the surroundings and it was hard to breathe.
6.7 Good

Cons: Only sweets for breakfast. Hotel from the 80-ies or 90-ies, needs some renovation. Guests Families with children.
7.1 Good
Pros: A very quiet villa with mountain views. The property is under new management and very welcoming
Cons: Guests should be prepared for a mountain road up to the hotel
4.2 Okay
Pros: Not really much. The staff, which I assume were the owners son and daughter, tried their best to address our request for a room with no noise.
Cons: The pure lack of respect. They told us that the pool would be closed for the day due to a party. Apparently they were hosting a wedding that went well beyond midnight and the room they gave us was right on top of the pool. The owners apparently did not care and only their son and daughter apparently tried to solve our issues. After our second request they finally relocated us to a more quiet room and we got some sleep.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: the staff and hel we found at the property was excellent and made the stay great would reccomend
Cons: the property whilst a bit dated was clean and staff were great

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice clean hotel and room with a big balcony and view of the sea. Close to the beach and lots of restaurants near by to choose from. The swimming pool was nice.
Cons: There was a function on the first night of my stay so i couldn't get access to the roof top terrace.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Spacious rooms and location
Cons: The hotel was dated and dirty, staff were not friendly and were not interested in helping guests. Breakfast was poor and overall very disappointing!
5.8 Okay
Pros: Localization
Cons: All the facilities closed in this period and anybody told us, even in the page of booking.com
7.1 Good
Pros: Reasonable location. Easy to use space. Nice staff. A bit of a walk from the more lively areas of Salerno but Walkable to train and rental car. Ocean view rooms with balcony are good. This was clearly once a top of the line hotel by US standards that has been allowed to degrade physically and now needs some work, but still a nice place.
4.6 Okay
Pros: Large room, clean and good air con but that’s it. Not worth the money and not 4 star
Cons: Over priced room, WiFi was pathetic, paid extra for sea view but was left with view of abandoned road and car park, pool and gym not available as advertised, Netflix or amazon video on tv not working due probably to poor WiFi. The room was large and clean but bad place to stay. Had a premium price tag and 4 star rating but useless hotel - worst 4 star I’ve ever stayed in and way over priced for that area
3.3 Mediocre
Cons: Mini bar was not working. The view was very depressing looking out to a broken concrete fountain. Also I didn't like looking out to a train station and the bed was very hard and uncomfortable.
7.1 Good
Pros: Promsinity
Cons: Noisey, in helpful staff, food
5.4 Okay
Pros: Not much
Cons: Wifi was atrocious. Rooms are more like a boarding house as is the restaurant
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Breakfast
Cons: We arrived and could not get the AC to work..asked the front desk several times and they said they would send some one and never did. View was not what we thought it would be and we are very low key when it comes to rooms. Would not recommend
6.0 Good
Cons: Rooms in the secondary building are far from reception and really poor

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Room was big and confortable.
Cons: Breakfast was nothing special to a 4* hotel.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The breakfast was the only thing that we liked about this place.
Cons: False advertising to start with- said there was a pool and beach. When we turned up we were told no it’s over the road and you have to pay to use as it’s in fact not there pool or beach. The photos on booking.com also make it look as if the pool is attached to the hotel but that’s not the Case at all. The price we paid for our standard double room was outrageous and I thought that price would have been justified by the pool and beach but without those facilities it’s worth half the amount we paid, if that. The hotel is in a terrible location no restaurants and no access to beach unless you want to pay. Staff were unhelpful didn’t give us any information about facilities, restaurants etc upon check in. I won’t ever stay here again or recommend it to anyone I feel as if we were tricked by the advertising for this place and felt seriously let down.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Nothing
Cons: False advertisement; no pool, no atmosphere, most basic rooms
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place to stop off after a day driving along the Amalfi Coast. It was a very welcome stop on our journey further south and we found some really good restaurants in town too. Great staff and nice big rooms.
Cons: Nothing to dislike, everything met our expectations.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The price and location.
Cons: Tha hallways were a little rough.
5.8 Okay
Cons: Breakfast was poor, the room was pretty run down. Would be a really nice hotel if renovated.
7.9 Good
Pros: Hotel staff was very nice
Cons: Pillows were very hard.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Parking . Wifi . Clean room
Cons: Breakfast . Dinner
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This hotel exceeded our expectations! We had a very big and clean room, with a private jacuzzi and a small balcony with a beach view. A rich buffet breakfast was served on the first floor in the rooftop garden. The staff were very helpful and recommended authentic Italian places, they even went above and beyond while trying to book us a table in one of the restaurants in Salerno.
Cons: The hotel is located 20 minutes away from the center, luckily we had a car and an offline map.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely receptionist . V friendly. Great size apartment.
Cons: No utensils in kitchen. V far from Salerno town although good link with metro. Had to pay €28 for use of pool for myself and my 3 children. It just said that extra charge may be applicable for use of beach, not pool.

Cons: Not 4**** as advertised but a budget type
4.2 Okay
Pros: Staff were helpful and spoke good English. Good air con in room
Cons: Dirty bathroom, lift broken, uncomfortable bed, LOTS of flies / mozzies in room
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing!
Cons: I was tiered to search something else after long traveling, so choose this hotel. On receptions now body speaks English! They couldn’t give me the right booked roomed, had to run for the keys 3 times. The breakfast is horrible! At late evening all the noise from restaurant goes to the rooms, so no choice to relax!
4.2 Okay
Pros: The sea view
Cons: It is not a 4 star hotel. The picture of the terrace doesn't show the reality. There were very very old wood tables, broken, the floor tiles were also broken.. We ate dinner at their restaurant. Horrible. We asked for bistecca alla fiorentina, medium-rare. It was a thin piece of meat, very well cooked, looked awful.. Like it was fried. Also, carbonara pasta not good.. They recognized the food was not well cooked and gave us a discount.. About the room.. The paint was falling off the ceiling, shower cabin was old. Wi-fi not satisfying.
5.0 Okay
Pros: soap and shampoo have a nice smell.
Cons: No parking available need to find a place to park on the road. Elevator always broken (1 week but already broken hearing other guest). No beach or swimming pool! ONLY CASH, credit card not accepted (you have to complain so it could probably be available when you leave). Reserved a non smoking room but was stinking of smoke, when asked to change, computer system was not working, they chenged the day after. accessories are rusty due to the sea salt, very small maintenance. It's a shame, the location is good and also have breakfast on the reef is very good. People are nice. Needs investment to become acceptable.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel has a big potential but now it is not well maintained....the staff was really kind and friendly
5.4 Okay
Pros: Hotel and room we're very clean Our request for extra pillows was completed immediately. Continental breakfast was tasty Bus service / taxis in the area were great
Cons: This is not a hotel, it's a B&B, there is no onsite restaurant. The beautiful balcony that overlooks the sea can only be used at breakfast as no food is available at other times. There isn't an area available to sit outside and is a general lack of usual hotel facilities Hotel is in a residential area
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel compared to the rest of my 5 hotels on my trip Italy was the best .Nice, clean. It had a beautiful location to eat on the water.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location was right on the waterfront !
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: The reception lady was polite, and suggested am ocean view. And charged me extra for the room
Cons: Had no access to the beach, no spa, no parking. The building is not maintained in the outside, elevator broken...it had nothing much to offer the needs were very old and just put 2 singles together and call it a king. I was alpine in the room and had 3 single beds two together.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: the location, the room and especially the staff who couldn't be more helpful.
Cons: nothinglovely
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location, a few minutes walk from the train station and the ferry port, nice host.
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast menu is limited..no buffet type. Rooms are small but clean. The staff is a big bonus. Very helpful and kind people. They always tried to help us in any way they can. Located just 500 metres from Salerno station so location is a big advantage again. Looking at the price we paid to stay it is a very good value for money property.
Cons: Limited breakfast menu. Small rooms.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast, our well sized apartment was in an excellent location right next to the old town. Everything we needed was on our door step, plus we had a great balcony. All the staff couln't be more friendly or helpful.
Cons: Only downside was we were a 20 minute walk away from the rest of our family in the main B&B MiniHotel building. Two days in a row the hot water stopped working but this was resolved quickly.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff; crossing extra soft
Cons: Flies in the room
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great AC, comfy beds, unlimited access to cold water and coffee, well-maintained, charming aesthetic.
Cons: We were moved to a 2nd room for our final nights, which was far superior to the 1st. More aesthetically attractive but more importantly, with a lovely, well-equipped bathroom - a large shower, wide sink with ledge and a bidet. The shower in the 1st room was so small, one could barely turn around, the shelf for soap/shampoo was missing so the door had to be opened to retrieve toiletries, each time flooding the tiny washroom. We also encountered problems getting hot water. But once we reported the issues, arrangements were made to move us when a vacancy was available. Overall, the B&B was very nice, very clean, ideal location, nice staff, comfy beds, and we would stay there again if able to specify room. Another huge asset was that guests have control of their room's AC and we were extremely comfortable and cool which, we learned was not the case at neighboring hotels. In 95+ degree heat and high humidity, having a cool room to sleep in is essential.
7.9 Good
Pros: Close to old town. It’s was quiet and very safe (5 doors to get through
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely staff! Nice breakfast, clean room

Pros: Tornerei! Very good place to stay. The view was poor because its on a really small street so there is no way it could have a good view, but its a really good place to stay!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: we checked out at the last minute and even with the reception being closed somebody came quickly to check us in.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The person who checked us in was very helpful, including coming out to the car and riding with us to get the car parked properly in the old part of the city. The room was very clean and functional, and the location was outstanding. We only stayed for one night but it met our needs perfectly.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location. And Roberta is very kind and willing to help with everything. She gave us great tips for restaurants and nearby places to visit (both touristic and where the locals go).
6.7 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: It's written bed and breakfast but actually there is NO Breakfast. I did ask for a special request( just a little love note and a red flower) and after a positive answer, I didn't see any of my request in the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The receptionist lady was very friendly, the room was large and the shower was really big and great. It was in the historical centre of Salerno, very close to the beach.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location is incredible : it’s a 5 minutes walk from the beach. Staff is incredible and sweet. The room I had (07) was so clean and so big! It’s a beautiful place, really. The only « bad » thing I guess is that reception isn’t always open, but you just need to tell them when you arrive and that’s okay. Also I had a hard time finding the place with my GPS but this is really not a big deal. I would recommend to anybody! Salerno is amazing by the say. I will surely be back!
7.5 Good
Pros: Room was nice and spacious, made up each morning and restocked. Roberta was very friendly and helpful. breakfast was brought to the room on the dot each morning.
Cons: towels were so thin, almost like a bedsheet. breakfast was minimal (chosen off a list on day 1 and received same each day to my room after that. no restaurant on site, the breakfast is made in kitchen and brought to you. very steep narrow stairs to get to reception and rooms, not easy carrying 2 cases or for my 6 year old son

7.1 Good
Pros: The other staff at the hotel were very polite and helpful, especially the young lady The view from the hotel is spectacular and the pool lovely
Cons: Hotel was on a main road so pool area was noisy We were given a very small room, not the advertised one, when I asked for a room change the young man was not helpful, he was rude and did not offer to help me with numerous bags There are slot of steps up to the hotel from the town
