The location was excellent and the hotel met expectations.
Nothing, simply that it was double booked and we were changed to the hotel Genova, though another 4* was nothing better than a reasonable 3* standard. It was my friends first time in Rome and I’d particularly wanted him to experience the Quirinale so it was a big disappointment which might have been softened by an hotel of similar standard. The one saving grace was that the gentleman on reception said we could have breakfast in the garden which I must admit was excellent both in the quality of the food and the ambience.
- Our room on the 3rd floor was very quiet, despite being facing the busy Via Nazionale. Although we only booked a 247 sq ft standard double, the desk agent was kind enough to give us a much large corner room because we asked to have a room as soon as possible due to sleep deprivation. - The breakfast was fine, but was very busy due to the tour groups also staying here.
1) the chandelier in the middle of the guest room was too blaring on the eyes. When we turned it off, then the room was too dim. May be they can replace the light bulbs on the chandelier with a softer kind that is easier on the eyes? 2) We were surprised upon check-in when a clerk asked us to sign a slip to agree to let the hotel charge 50 Euros to our credit card for incidentals. Although he explained the money will be refunded if we did not use it at all, but we have never been asked to do this before at any other hotel. After I had a chance to look at my credit card statement, there was no 50 Euro charge from Hotel Quirinale to my card, so they were only holding it but did not charge it.
Location was excellent, with all the noise outside you wouldn't notice with hotel windows. Spotless, service, breakfast all excellent. Lovely to see how clean it was, excellent hotel
Reception was a bit rushed and found it hard to understand as it was all done very quick. Bed was not very comfortable but wouldn't stop us from staying again.
Service poor. Room not ready on arrival Staff appeared uninterested in assisting
