Quirky. Don’t be fooled by the plain exterior!!
A big stuffy in room.
Cafe in the hotel was very good. The view of the harbor was nice.
For the price breakfast should have been included. Hotel looks more modern than it is. It could use some renovation.
Cozy. Great location.
Breakfast did not look great. But we didn’t eat because we thought we booked breakfast but were told we had not.
We had reserved a room with a harbor view. We were upgraded to a nice junior suite - also with a harbor view. The room was clean and comfortable. The lighting over the bed was especially well designed. The location on the old harbor is close to restaurants and shops. The Harpa and the old town sections of Reykjavik are nearby. You can buy the breakfast buffet or just select a la carte what you want at the Slippbarinn restaurant which is located in the same building as the hotel.
Staff was very accommodating. Room had everything we needed with the exception of hot water for coffee or tea.
Wake up call was not provided though we had asked and were told it would happen. Otherwise the staff was very helpful.
