The owners and staff were exceptionally friendly and made our stay very memorable. They recommended their favourite restaurant in a nearby village that we drove to and experienced a traditional cretan festival celebration complete with stomping the grapes in barrels!! If we had've stayed longer we would have loved the opportunity to have socialised with them more over dinner, drinks etc. The people who own and run the place are beautiful.
The hotel is on a main road and so we had to park across the road from the hotel on the main street. It was OK because it wasn't during peak season and it was on a weekend when the parking was luckily available for us, but if we had've been there on a week day when the retail store near it was open we wouldn't have had access to our parking spot and instead would have had to park in a carpark several 100mtrs down the road away. That would then have been difficult with our luggage.

Very lovely people, comfortable room, great breakfast and several good restaurants just next to the hotel.
The location is good but it just doesn't look the nicest when you drive along the road.

Eva, the owner of the hotel is really kind and nice. She speaks perfectly Italian and she suggested us where to go and what to see not only in Rethymno, but also in other areas of Crete. Thanks to her we spent a beautiful day at Preveli beach and we decided not to take the ship to Balos Beach, but to go by car and on foot: which was absolutely the best choice ever! Breakfast is included in the price and it is on a stunning view on the seaside and on Rethymno town. Our room had the view and the noise of the sea was very relaxing.

Delicious breakfasts eaten on patio by sea. This is second time I've stayed here. Eva was so welcoming. However her baby is expected soon and she has found a lovely lady to replace her who is also an excellent cook.
