Cingjing Xiafei Music Villa

The lady on duty allowed us to check in slightly earlier as she could see that my father was very tired after visiting Green Green Grassland as he has mobility difficulties. The intro of the facilities in the room was very professional and helpful. We enjoyed all the facilities in the room, the hi-tea in the dining area, the CD they lent us and took many photos in the compound. All our requests were granted and the services provided by the staff is top-notch. The music selection was soothing and fits the environment well. Breakfast was served to my father in the room while the host invited us to enjoy ours in the dining area. Mum and I particularly enjoyed the egg cooked by the chef from Old England. Was pleased to receive a thank you gift after filling in the survey form when checked out. A very big thank you to the owners, Mr. Lo, who built this place. It allows us to have a feel of Europe in a Chinese country at an affordable price.

The location is far from town but to be expected if you want to relax in mountain and surrounded by misty clouds. The bathtub is not recommended for elderly who have difficulties in climbing steps. The warmer on level 2, though does its job, is not warm enough for my father who can't walk up to level 2 and he felt cold on level 1 as the weather had turned chilled in the evening.

Everything else is superb, friendly staff, good food, clean rooms, beautiful view etc. I woke up to a stunning view of clouds floating a short distance below my window. Love the outdoor breakfast area and free afternoon tea. They also arrange dinner at the two locations with transport provided, I had mine at The Hanging Garden and steak was very good.

No standing shower, only a bath tub which is very high. I am 165 and yet find it difficult to climb in and out of the tub. Not suitable for old people.

Fabulous location in the mountains. A really interesting place with quirky decorations, a huge music selection to listen to. Just wish I could have stayed longer. It took nearly 2 hours by taxi from Taichung airport and the last hour is quite a windy road but it's worth it once you get there. There's no entertainment (shopping etc), it's a place to relax and go for works and eat at the hotel restaurants in the area. The food was excellent.
