Pros: The place, the room, the mountain view, facilities, the garden, the restsurant and food, the hotel staff and everything in the hotel
Cons: I think the price of the hotel room is a bit expensive..
9.2 Excellent
Pros: It’s an amazing architecture, we spent almost 2 hours exploring around the manor and almost every corner is picture worthy.
Cons: Some parts of the property was abandoned, it would be great to make full use of the property.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything is good. We do love this hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing hotel! Can't say enough good things about it. There is likely not another hotel like this in Taiwan and few in Asia. Very unique European manor feel. Every detail from arrival to check out was great. Fantastic food and service and we loved the room. Definitely stay here and splurge for one of the large rooms/suites. Really enjoyed the CD selection they offer to listen in your room and at the large common room.
Cons: Definitely you will need a car. Its not easy to walk around from hotel to other nearby eateries. You can drive or have the hotel to take you.
7.1 Good
Pros: The room is ok, have everything needed, but over rated on the website , there’s no facility , cannot get nice view , have to walk out to surrounding higher places to catch nice view.
Cons: Over rated, no facilities ,, can’t get good view.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, amazing view and food!
Cons: -
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We were greeted by the staff Owen who serve us with good tea and delicious cookies. Followed by a briefing on dinner menu where he helped us to change some of the items that my family does not eat. He then led us to the room where he briefed us the facilities and access to free mini bar and a bottle of red wine as well cookies, pineapple tarts, and more. The amenities in the room was fantastic such as hot and room temperature water easily accessed from a filtered tap. The sound system in the room was awesome by Focal. Dinner was fine dining with creative dishes with good quality. We were also served with wine and sparkling juice from the house. The next day was another surprise for us as we were given another set of amenities, food and replenishment of drinks.
Cons: All is good!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff are v helpful and nice. Great food. Great experience. V good room. Extremely comfortable. Love that we could choose CDs to own room to play on good quality hi-fi!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wow, what a stunning place. Absolutely fantasy with eclectic luxury. The food was fantastic - do try the crispy duck - breakfasts brilliant. From the minute we walked in the door we were looked after, shown the wonderful facilities and made to feel special. Actually - as a professor of architecture - I suggest you really take in the proportions of each space - designed by the owner Mr. lo and built over nine years. He has a perfect eye for architectural impact - leaving aside the fact that there are many different styles on show - simply admire his proportions. I loved that it was all naturally ventilated with windows one can throw open to take in the mountain air and views. One in million hotels - definitely one for the hotel aficionados out there.
Cons: It was a challenge getting there - but as with everything in life - the harder it is to achieve, the more you enjoy it when you do arrive - it was not an insurmountable obstacle in the end - train from Taipei to Taichung City then fast taxi ride to the hotel for 2500 $TW. Worth every penny to be part of the amazing alpine landscape and exotic hotel experience.

3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The view is pretty.
Cons: It’s filthy, full of dust. it seems cleanness is not their priority. Only one senior lady staff was friendly and helpful. The rest is kind of “ don’t be bothered “ attitude. Definitely won’t stay there anymore.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Everything else is superb, friendly staff, good food, clean rooms, beautiful view etc. I woke up to a stunning view of clouds floating a short distance below my window. Love the outdoor breakfast area and free afternoon tea. They also arrange dinner at the two locations with transport provided, I had mine at The Hanging Garden and steak was very good.
Cons: No standing shower, only a bath tub which is very high. I am 165 and yet find it difficult to climb in and out of the tub. Not suitable for old people.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Very little English is spoken. One porter/breakfast attendant spoke rudely about guests in front of them in Chinese not knowing that one of them could understand! Etiquette 101: never talk rudely about guests to other staff in a language you think they don’t understand because maybe, just maybe, at least one of them will understand your rude comments even though they are far too polite to say so at the time.
7.5 Good
Pros: I stayed here in 2016 and had very good experience so I booked into this hotel again when I visit Chingjing this April. The staff are generally very polite and helpful. Guests of the hotel are invited to enjoy free wine with tit-bits and music at the breakfast place after dinner. Unfortunately on dinning chair and not on lounge chair. Previously the lights were switched off and candles were lit but I don't know if it's still the same this time as when I entered the dinning area at 7.00 pm the place was bright and full of cigarette smell although it's a non smoking place. The beds are very comfortable. Everything at the mini bar was free of charge including a small bottle of wine and tit-bits like pineapple tarts. Like before guests were given a small gift to bring home - a beautiful small note book. There is a set of CD player in the room. CDs need to be borrowed from the front desk. I have some food allergies and the staff took note of them and prepared my breakfast accordingly. They even managed to get some gluten free bread for me! Very sweet of them :) Scenery around the hotel is beautiful. The hotel sits at a higher ground and have good view of the distant mountains in front of the property. Our room also has a small outdoor sitting area but unfortunately we checked in late and checked out early so unable to experience it.
Cons: Dinner was part of my room package but at another location, another related hotel. The hotel provided transport to and fro. We arrived at the Music Villa at 6.05 pm and was hurried to go to dinner because meal time was 6 pm to 7.30 pm. We reached the dinner place at around 6.15 pm or 6.20 pm and were urged to follow the transport back soon after we stopped eating and so we returned to our accommodation at 7.00 pm :( Going to dinner was like robbing a bank! The accommodation, particularly the bathroom is old, badly need updating.
6.7 Good
Pros: The breakfast & dinner was good. They pay attention for vegetarian. The room was spacious and has a lot of complimentary.
Cons: The bathroom smell weird.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous location in the mountains. A really interesting place with quirky decorations, a huge music selection to listen to. Just wish I could have stayed longer. It took nearly 2 hours by taxi from Taichung airport and the last hour is quite a windy road but it's worth it once you get there. There's no entertainment (shopping etc), it's a place to relax and go for works and eat at the hotel restaurants in the area. The food was excellent.

Pros: The staff is really friendly and very helpful, trying his best to meet our request or going the extra mile. We requested for provide a HDMI cable for the TV and he went to search for one. Also saw his staff (or the owner) offered to send a group of girls to the public bus stop due to the heavy rain. They also provided advise on our plans an helped us with searching for info. The place was really cozy. It was cold but each individual beds had heating which made the night there really good. The rooms are very spacious.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: 1. Excellent front desk and service staff. We decided to take a walk down to the sheep farm. However, knowing that it was a long walk(around 1km or so), one of the male staff drove by to give us a lift down midway into our walk. It was a simple but nice gesture that we were appreciative of. 2. Lodging facilities were excellent, with sufficient power sockets for us to charge our phones all at once. Toilet seat also had an automated heating function for a pleasant toilet experience. A good spread of DVDs were available for rent (free of charge!) at the front desk. 3. Breakfast was very good! There were eateries and a 7-11 within walking distance. No need to worry about getting hungry. 4. Bus stop to Nan Tou was just outside of the resort (next to 7-11)! Super convenient if you intend to travel by bus.
Cons: The only waste was that our balcony view of the mountain side was blocked by trees. It would have been awesome if some maintenance of the trees was done. But all in all, still a pleasant stay.
7.5 Good
Pros: Spacious room. Nice friendly staff. They provide lots of dvd to watch in the room. Very nice view in the morning. There is also shuttle bhs provided to go to Cingjing

6.3 Good
Pros: I like the bed is very comfortable, the hot spring water is hot and it’s open air. Enjoy the environment as it’s very quiet and relaxed.
Cons: The cat was not proper care, the shower head need to change + need to do something about the bathroom. The table and chair in front of the house was not clean up and no cloth provide to wipe it. No one contact me even when I haven’t reach by 8pm.
7.9 Good
Pros: Quietness and friendly cats and dogs
Cons: Unfortunately the hot spring water was brown
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic place! The cottages are great; clean, spacious, comfy beds. The hot springs bath is super nice. Comfortable to lay in while watching the starts through the glass ceiling. The host was very friendly and easy to reach via WhatsApp. The cats are pretty cute and love cuddles.
Cons: No access to food yet, our host said they were working on it. For now you have to drive to the nearest town, which isn’t too far away.
7.1 Good
Pros: The forest (Lu Shan) is fantastic for a nature lover like myself. The hot spring is great - nice and relaxing There are cats around the property and they are extremely friendly - they'll come to you for headrubs, some even sat on my lap and fell asleep. There's a water station in the house itself.
Cons: It's quite hard to locate the place. We got to the property and was told we're at the wrong place. Ended up going 3 rounds before the owner told us we were at the right place before that. I suggest to get an experienced driver (we were very lucky with ours!) and have the driver call the property before arriving. There's no breakfast at the facilities and there's no food around the area. We're lucky as we got a driver and he took us for breakfast the next day. Otherwise, I suggest travelers to get some bread / instant noodles before staying there. There's microwave and a toaster oven but they're filthy, looks like no one cleaned them since forever. The water station is in the toilet (which I cannot fathom), so it's a tad troublesome when you need water but someone is in the shower / toilet /washing up. The room upstairs have transparent ceiling which we did not note when we checked in - it got super bright from 5am onward so bring an eyemask if you're a light sleeper.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The tranquility of the place. Meanwhile, in order to help you get rid of boredom at night, the host has thousands of movies of different genres. Like it very much!
Cons: The location is too remote.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the bed is very comfy. They provide heated mattress in the room, which is very greater in winter. Hosts are very friendly; they provide shuttle to many destinations in Qingjing. Don't afraid to ask. If you have time, they might take to secret spot to see extraordinary views.
Cons: nothing.

Pros: Very nice staff. We received a warm welcoming from them, followed by a free after noon tea buffet. (Some local Taiwanese snacks and drinks were served) The room that we stayed in was well-equipped, and located on the 4/F. Therefore we all became sweaty after taking the luggage to the lobby when checking out.(There’s no elevator) Dinner and breakfast were fantastic. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: The accommodation exceeded my expectation, I thought it was just a room but it actually like a house (2 floors) with the living room in the ground floor and a bedroom in the second floor. The comfort room is spacious and the beds are very comfortable. Just beside the Old England and near to some of the tourist attractions like The Swiss Garden and Qingjing Farm.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Host was very friendly and responsive. Breakfast was nice. Also we were a big group of 9 people, the host gave us additional meal without extra payment. We felt very comfortable and "homey".
Cons: The mattress was a little bit too soft, especially for elder people, it would be a perfect stay if the mattress was firmer. Apart from that, everything was excellent.
7.9 Good
Pros: The room is clean and comfortable and outside has a good mountain view
Cons: The location is accessible only with transport. Only not a recommended place for weaker old folks or wheelchair bound as there are stairs to climb to access the rooms and dining hall
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean family room, friendly and helpful staff, breakfast and dinner changed daily, and were served in big servings.
Cons: Those sleeping on the 2nd floor are unable to watch the tv
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The room is very cozy and the view is nice. It was quite foggy in the hill but I didn't feel too humid (they have dehumidifier in the room and the room is quite big for just two of us). In fact the I think the room can fit 2 adults + 2 kids.
Cons: It is close to the bus stop. However, it is quite far away from the convenient store. We had to walk on the road which has no walking path. It is far away from the farm, travelers have to take public transport if you want to visit the farm or the visitor centre.
7.1 Good
Pros: Their service was good in that they were willing to bring breakfast to the room for my mum in law because of the steps. Liked the mountain view too.
Cons: There was no heater in the room and so it was really cold since it's winter time. Also there were too many steps leading to the dining area for my 80 yr old mum in law.

2.5 Mediocre
Cons: They provide incorrect information in booking. Com. We were booking a 4 bed room with private bathroom, but when check-in only inform us need to share toilet. They mark "no smoking" but houseowner keep on smoking in house which not good for kids. All things is not accurate base on booking. Com information. This is 1st time using booking. Com to book hotel, so disappointed...
9.6 Excellent
Pros: 'Here is Good Home' - the name says it all! The best B n B that I've stayed in! This place is very cosy and our room is very spacious and comfortable. We feel so much at home, that we were quite reluctant to leave on our 4th day. Mr Wang is a super host! He is very warm, helpful, prompt and informative to all his guests.
7.5 Good
Pros: Excellent view from the property, though it was raining we still maange to have a great view of the surrounding mountains and the clouds covering them. The owner is very forthcoming with any questions or requests.
Cons: N. A
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great help from the local host! Helped us to book tours & taxis
6.7 Good
Cons: We went to the wrong property on Google maps, got routed to the right one and then got moved to another one. Weekends are insane at Cingjing in summer and everywhere was almost full. They told us they would upgrade us to the newer property but there was a mix up and they gave us a room with no window. Our impression of the check in was poor so we thought this was the best they could do. But checking out the next day we saw other rooms which were available had large windows. Staff were apologetic but we were on the way out. The breakfast is Taiwanese style, looks sad but it was surprisingly quite tasty. Nothing is value for money at Cingjing during peak weekends. You are better off coming on a weekday.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Friendly staff. Putting their greatest effort to make us feel at home.
Cons: We are allocated 4 rooms which are located at the lowest floor and we need to walk down a steep slope which is challenging for the elderlies.
6.7 Good
Pros: Breakfast tasted good, comfortable bed, Has all essential equipments and they are in good shape and ready to use
Cons: can’t communicate with the hosts , noisy at night

7.5 Good
Pros: The public hot spring area is really cool, it is a nice way how to spend the evening. Although the breakfast officially starts at 7 AM, they let us to have some toasts and coffee at 6 AM (we wanted to start early for the mountains)
Cons: The hotel looked like it had its best times a while ago - although it wasn't that unpleasant, reminding me of the old times 20 years ago in my country. Although we booked a room in the B section (based on other travellers reviews), the bed was iron-hard, as described in the reviews. Be careful when opting for the mountains - the Wuling Pass is 1-hour drive.
