9.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was huge and clean. The whole facility, in fact, was immaculately clean. The mattress was firm, yet comfortable. Closet space was sufficient. And the room was carpeted, which is not common for anything other than upper-upper-end hotels outside the USA. And a fresh and full bottle of water would be in your room each day. (Don't drink the tap water in Quito.) The food on the breakfast buffet was fresh and delicious (although, as I say in the negatives below, a little too heavy on the carbs, the breads, and the starches). The staff were wonderfully friendly and very helpful. The location in La Floresta was perfect, as the hotel is just beside the tourist-filled Mariscal neighborhood, which means it is just outside it. so there was a large and excellent selection of a wide range of restaurant types nearby.
Cons: There were two problems, one major, one minor quibble. The overhead lighting in the open bathroom sink area shined in my eyes when I was lying in bed. It was annoying. It interfered with my sleep. The room never got nice and "deep sleep" dark. Apparently this is now a "thing" at more and more hotels, to keep the bathroom lighting always on. This does not work when you cannot close a door. The minor quibble was the breakfast was very carb-intensive. The carbs (and everything else) were very delicious, but there were not enough alternatives to the starches.
7.1 Good
Pros: Courteous staff. Good location. Excellent breakfast buffet!
Cons: Room comfortable and clean to the naked eye. Wardrobe doors very dusty and the carpet filthy judging by the colour of feet and socks after walking round the room.
7.5 Good
Pros: Welcoming and comfortable rooms. Well situated in the city.
Cons: Early hours ‘continental breakfast’ consisted of weak and Luke-warm coffee, and a few ‘plastic’ breakfast breads.
5.4 Okay
Cons: Bed was lumpy and hard. Fridge in the room sounded like and old tractor and I had to unplug it to sleep.
7.5 Good
Pros: Restaurant is excellent and staff is very nice
Cons: Carpet in the rooms doesn’t feel quite clean
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great room. Splendid view to the mountains. Nice continental breakfast with buffet. Food at the restaurant is excellent although a bit pricey.
Cons: Room was overheated at night although heat was off.

My oxygen tank in my room was PERFECTION too, really a good one. The restaurants had great food options and service, and the gifts shops were all beautiful. The taxi service was also excellent.
Cons: It was all perfect. No complaints at all.

Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: The first day have to wake up at 6am due to a terrible noise on the pipes.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything else was ok
Cons: My room had very poor natural light
9.0 Excellent
Pros: When we booked the place, we were not so convinced since the pictures show a hotel, which could be a little bit old-fashioned. It wasn't! Everything was renovated and nicely decorated. The room was clean and well done and we got a nice extra baby bed for our 2,5 years old kid (who didn't have to pay for a room, neither for the breakfast). A nice surprise was the free minibar in the room, with some drinks and nuts (very rare thing!). Also the parking space was free for the guests. The breakfast was very good and the staff was fine.
Cons: The swimming pool and the gym were nice, but it is an open club attended by outsiders, so you feel a little bit like in a public fitness club.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Service was great. The first tower has newer and larger rooms.
6.0 Good
Pros: I stay there a lot. The facilities seem to be deteriorating. Towels yellow instead of white, toilet not flushing well, shower loose. No maintenance upkeep.
Cons: Location

7.5 Good
Pros: Location, great views from the floor to ceiling windows in the room
Cons: Breakfast was average, not much choice. Couldn't use my credit card to check out due to problems with system, had to go round the corner to take cash out of an ATM (with same credit card).
6.3 Good
Pros: Staff were very agreeable and held my bags for me after checking out as I had to visit official offices before departure.
Cons: Maintenance of rooms was awful. Power sockets dated and in poor repair. No GFCI outlets in bathroom- dangerous. Elevator had issues- obvious when you see that the date is wrong too. Extreme power savings in hallways is creepy as you have to step into darkness to trigger the motion sensor to turn on hallway lights. Definitely not a four star property, but a solid three stars are within reach.

6.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was very good. Staff at the restaurant was friendly and accommodating, and it was nice to see my name on the list. The variety as typical of Ecuador; cereal, fruit, yogurt, baked goods on the cold side, eggs, plantain, coffee, tea... Cleanliness of the hotel, linens, etc. were all great. The room was well decorated, and bathroom had a cozy rainforest feel with a great shower head.
Cons: My room was on the 2nd level and subject to the constant thumping of bass from the neighboring clubs and restaurants. Conveniently, ear plugs were provided on the night stand, which blocked out the noise. Air conditioning was mediocre at best, but fortunately it doesn't get too hot at night in Quito.
5.1 Okay
Pros: Did not realize how far it was from the airport.....45 minutes.
Cons: Very loud music literally all night long. Booked an air conditioned room which they did not give us until we complained,

Also within 2 blocks of major bus lines that make access to other areas of the city. The breakfast in an neighboring restaurant is more than adequate and the staff was always helpful.

Pros: The service. The detail every day to assist before heading out to the unknown. And the location it was just a perfect please to feel secure and adventurous Was on point.
7.0 Good
Pros: Location was very good for going out on the weekend. The street is loud but I did not find it as bad as other reviews had said. Shower pressure was excellent.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was awesome! a quiet place near the Plaza Foch, it was everything so wonderful in Quito! Staff very nice at the reception who smiled always. We will sleep again there in the future. Wifi very super and room very beautiful and clean.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel staff and room service may this experience an excellent one. I will definitely will recommend this hotel and will only stay here in the future . The rooms bed every was to clean and comfortable super hotel .
Cons: Nothing negative to say.
7.0 Good
Pros: The rooms space was very good, amazing shower and it has a small kitchen. The cost-benefit it is good.
Cons: At first, it makes you fell insecure because is not really a hotel or a hostel. To access the room we passed though a "creepy" way - just to you be prepared. The localization was not that good, it was far from some places and the neighborhood was not really that cool. But is close to a "night life" region. that is ok.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: It's in a good location - very quiet at night. Huge bed, very comfy. Nice and clean bathroom. There's a kitchen in the house which can be used (good for breakfasts and tea times). The staff was super friendly and helpful.
Cons: It can get a bit chilly and there's no heater or anything, but that seems to be a general problem in Quito. The wardrobe present in the room was not very useful - no shelves, just one rack and all bit dusty.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were excellent especially at catering for an international traveler who doesn’t speak much spanish. Room was great
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very quick and friendly check in, the system with the front door is great for coming and going. Room was huge, very clean and comfortable. Location very good, close to lots of restaurants and bars but quiet in the evenings.
Cons: We were told we could use the laundry facilities but then the cleaning lady had a problem with this and was quite rude when I tried to explain the situation to her. Eventually we were able to use them, but if the cleaners have such an issue with it- maybe don’t let guests use them. Shower was hit or miss. The pressure was either great or terrible. Same with the heat, it was either boiling hot or freezing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fluffy pillows hot water towel heater beautiful mural room fragrance staff was fantastic
Cons: Maybe put a hairdryer in the room? I didn't think to ask so it wasn't very important to me. I can't say anything bad about this place, had a great time would definitely return
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property is beautiful, the bed ultra-comfy, and the staff very friendly and helpful. It as the most beautiful room we stayed in on Ecuador.

Pros: Extremely clean, beautiful space, great vibe, wonderfully comfortable beds and pillows. It's truly my favorite hostel in Quito and I always stay there! I love it so much. I especially love that it's not a party hostel, so I don't ever have to worry about whether I'll get good sleep. Before I discovered this place, I used to stay at the Secret Garden (dirty, nonstop party, employees who don't really care), but never again--Hostel Revolution will always be my go to place to stay.
Cons: There's nothing really major to identify, other than the fact that the delicious fresh made breakfasts are only available for one hour, and it can be very busy with many guests leaving at the same time, so it can be challenging to eat breakfast and leave on time, especially if you have to leave early in the morning. But when you can get a breakfast, it's delicious!

Pros: If you want a personal experience in Quito, this is the place to go. This is more like staying as a guest in someone’s home. Mario and his wife Blanca could not have been more friendly and accommodating and helpful. The rooms are large and unique centered around a lovely courtyard. The location in the historical district is perfect for sightseeing in that area.
Cons: Could have used a few more drawers or another luggage rack to keep belongings more organized. This is a very minor critcism since rooms were so large.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: First of all, the hospitality of the owners, Mario and Bianca. They made us feel at home in their beautifully restored hotel. The room was spacious and nicely decorated. The mattress was nice and firm enough for me. The shower was very strong. The breakfast was plentiful and very tasty. What not to like about this place! The hotel is located four blocks away (about 10 min walk) from Plaza Grande.
Cons: There wasn’t anything I disliked about it.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Mario and Bianca were exceptionally hospitable and helpful. They offered valuable advice on personal safety and travel tips. They could not have been more welcoming and generous.
Cons: The location of the hotel is central to tourist highlights but is on a very sketchy stretch of street visibly frequented by prostitutes. I did not feel safe after dark.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Marco was extremely helpful. Location excellent. Breakfast was pleasant and the roof garden was quiet and we could see the Panacello from the roof. Quality of furnishings in room and shower area were very good. Lots of character.
Cons: We could hear traffic noise at night.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The hosts were wonderful! Unfortunately there was only one key available for the two of us. A key is required to get into the building and into the room. It was VERY inconvenient to have only one set of keys. Breakfast was delicious! We had an incident with the shower leaking - probably a fixable problem. There was also a lot of street noise, which was fun during the day but inconvenient at night. However, this is a function of the location being right down town. They had made good effort with the windows to block out the sound. We can’t stress enough how welcome they made us feel, including recommendations to wonderful restaurants. Thank you Mario and Blanca!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Mario and Blanca are incredible hosts. They have renovated a very old building with great taste and incorporating many original features.
Cons: Air conditioning is rare in older premises, and opening the windows exposes you to the traffic noise of a central location.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel was beautiful and comfortable, and staff were exceptionally helpful
Cons: Coffee was not good. (Most filtered coffee we had in Ecuador was not good, surprisingly to us).

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location and ambience. Very friendly staff and efficiently run. Very attentive security staff member at night.
Cons: Noise can be an issue in parts of the hotel due to the traditional internals, and the closeness of the road outside. The inference of active crime at night could unsettle some guests. Not an issue during our stay.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful small hotel. Lovely breakfast, comfortable rooms. Good central location (but the area was a “tourist trap”). Quiet inside the hotel. Excellent stay.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff Kindly
Cons: Accessible limited. Bed can be better.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It's beautiful! Great location, super helpful staff and an amazing breakfast (ask for the egg menu.). And they have proper red wine glasses in the lobby. Loved everything about it and would definitely recommend to everyone.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stunning building - ornate and well located in old town. Friendly staff. Well worth a stay!
Cons: Difficult getting to and from the hotel via Uber as it’s located in a pedestrianised area, which, though fine, requires you to keep your wits about you at night. Hotel has great security and they look after you whenever arriving / leaving.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: In old district close to everything.
Cons: Bit of noise but they did provide earplugs.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Central and easy walk to the local main attractions Loved the big beds Great breakfast lots of variety
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was an incredibly sumptuous buffet which included many Ecuadorian specialties. The bed was incredibly comfortable with a quality mattress and great linens. Luxury soaps, shampoo and conditioner were provided along with a shower cap and vanity kit. Rooms had a large flat screen tv, air conditioner, hair dryer. Bathrobes were provided as well as fresh roses! My room was quite large. The two windows opened onto the street. They had noise reduction windows and also inside shutters for the windows so the room was nice and dark for sleeping. Calle Ronda can be quite loud but the room was quiet enough and you couldn't beat the location. Bathroom quite large with shower and decent water pressure. Purified water provided on every floor. The courtyard was lovely! There was also a nice little seating area on the top floor up a circular staircase that had a table, some comfy chairs, a couch, a bookcase and a great view. Very beautiful and beautifully maintained historic property. Restaurant on property although I only had breakfast there (which was amazing...did I already mention that!) Stayed on Valentine's Day and they knocked on my door and presented me with some lovely strawberries dipped in chocolate on the house. A very nice touch. This was the priciest of the properties I stayed in. It was a nice splurge, but I was happy enough with the other lodgings I stayed in at a fraction of the price.
Cons: Can't think of anything. Was a great property.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent staff that goes above and beyond to help guests have a great time.
Cons: Beautiful historical (1735) restored building with everything walking distance away
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was great, breakfast really good and the hotel it's really cosy. There is afternoon tea from 4 to 7 complementary.

7.0 Good
Cons: There was a pizza box in my corridor for at least 20 hours!!!!!!
6.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was just adequate. Language was a bit of a problem.
Cons: Entrance.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The property was in a good location and the rooms were lovely. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The bell hop who took us to our room was very sweet and friendly, I wanted to invite him to dinner. We were upgraded to a suite and that was really nice. One quirky thing, they only gave us one fluffy robe, and there were two of us in the room so that was a bit odd. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel but did have dinner at the deli that's part of the hotel. The food was just average, not great but not bad, either. I would definitely stay here again.
Cons: The hotel should have supplied two robes and slippers instead of just one. The quality of the coffeemaker and coffee in the room was not good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Food variation
8.0 Excellent
Pros: l did not rate thus as a five star hotel , it is more than a four star but seemed to lack the personality of a five star hotel and felt a little sterile but was very comfortable

8.0 Excellent
Pros: breakfast is ok...bathroom is a little bit small.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: We booked to stayed 3 times over two weeks at this hotel due to personal booking and with tour group . Some of the staff (concierge) tried to be very helpful, The location is not safe, we were mugged outside the street of the hotel and another coupled reported same incident. The hotel is aware of the issue and lack of safety in the area. There are better locations in Quito.
Cons: They forgot to give a very early wake up call The room on last night was way too cold even though A/C was off Breakfast way too expensive, much better quality and value offered at other hotels we tried. Overcharged on room - had to correct the price after addition of taxes.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Location was very convenient, right on Mariscal within walking distance of many restaurants and shops, and within a short ride of the old town. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: For a 5* hotel, the hotel facilities and rooms were quite simple and dated (while still functional). Breakfast selection was poor.
6.7 Good
Pros: Rooms were good, clean and comfortable.
Cons: Breakfast was disappointing. Hotel policies were inflexible.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The dining room was very good and a special mention for the luggage porters and bar staff.
Cons: I would recommend doing a city tour as soon as you arrive, as this will provide information on all of the local amenities. For instance, there was a good market a few minutes walk from the hotel that we knew nothing about until the day we were leaving. I felt that the hotel could have provided more information in this aspect.
6.0 Good
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Service
7.0 Good
Pros: The room was good
Cons: Breakfast buffet was very incomplete and over priced

6.6 Good
Pros: The Hotel was clean and in a good location. It was also a reasonable price.
Cons: They charged for Wi-Fi and did not provide a free breakfast. The staff was moderately friendly, but was not super helpful with respect to information about the area. You can probably find something for the same price with more amenities.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The best value for money in Ecuador to date! It is not my first time in Quito and I have a few hotels to compare it to and can say that by far this one has been the best. I also really appreciated a speedy wifi which is something I found lacking in many hotels across Ecuador in general, not just Quito. Breakfast was wonderful as well. Finally staff was amazing too, always smiling and went above and beyond to help. I especially appreciated Ricardo who saw me going out to get cash late in the evening (needed for a taxi to the airport), and without me even asking or saying anything he escorted me to the cash point which is extremely appreciated by me - as a solo female traveller I find using cashpoints at night daunting, so it was great to have this support. Overall, definitely recommend!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was huge and very clean they gave us welcome drinks.
Cons: A bit noisy in the morning rush hour even with windows closed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: People were great and took care of our needs. Because we were participating in a fighting event were were not there much. My plane left early so I never got a breakfast. There were no wash clothes would be my only negative.
Cons: No wash clothes in the bathroom and no shower wand for those who are large and need them to reach all the body. Check in time was difficult for us because our event started at 8 am and went on all day a more flexible check would have helped.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything is perfect! The stuff is so tastefully trained to meet every guest's needs. We had an emergency with our 6 month old and were so moved to receive so much warmth and hospital suggestions of the personel. They even accommodated a cot for our little one keeping him safe from bed falls!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The beds are comfy
Cons: Position of towel rack hit my head 3 times on it. Hotel felt dark .
9.6 Excellent
Cons: The sauna and hammam was closed during the week end

Pros: Breakfast (buffet), view, space, TV, bathroom, location... All this is excellent!
Cons: Some blankets were a little dirty
5.0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was ok, and almost all employees were very helpful, pleasant, and professional.
Cons: I had a problem with one miserable young woman who checked me in upon my arrival. After speaking with the general manager, she thoroughly understood my complaint, and she resolved my issue in a very pleasant and professional manner.
6.7 Good
Pros: The staff was just great. They when out of their way to make you feel confortable
Cons: Way overpriced for the facilities. The food was old and over cooked
7.9 Good
Pros: The suite was large and gorgeous, although in need of a little updating. The staff was friendly and helpful and the location good.
Cons: The daily breakfast was the same every day, scrambled eggs and hot dogs, with fruit. More variety would be good. There was no wine or liquor, even in the bar, and the staff went out to buy them for us (I think the cost was a bit excessive).
