Very nice boutique hotel with unusual décor. Music CD and Bose player in the room. Interesting lighting. I would like to plan a dinner at Chez Muffy on our next trip.
We were moving between hotels and hoped to have our room ready by 1 PM. After being assured that it would be ready quickly, we had to wait until 3:30. To be fair, the published check-in time is 4pm.
Wonderful location. Friendly staff. Beautiful hotel.
Historical property in great location.
I had booked the hotel as a special occasion for my husband's birthday. Given the hotel is part of Relais & Chateaux, you expect a fabulous experience (like we have had in other properties). The trouble started in the elevator when one of the cards did not work to go to the room. Once in the room, the room was dark and super cold; nothing had been prepared for the guests let alone for my husband's birthday. Maintenance came to the room and told us to crank up the temperature to 26C (79F). It took over an hour to warm up the room. In full disclosure, the hotel did give us a card and some chocolates when we left. Not the "festive" experience I expected for the price we paid. There are other hotels in this neighborhood with better price quality and experience.
Every staff is friendly and professional .
The incredible care and thought that went into the construction and presentation of this entire property was exceptional. It is filled with subtle and beautifully displayed artifacts discovered during the build. Our room was very nice. My wife especially enjoyed the gently heated tile floor in the bath. Breakfast was great. In the evening we dined at Muffies and loved our tasting menu dinner.
Should have stayed longer!
