Pros: Super friendly staff!! Even though there was a little misunderstanding, the receptionist fixed the issue within minutes :) they were understanding, friendly and professional. Cons: The only thing I did not like was that I could not turn the heat down in my room. I would still give the hotel 5/5 stars for the cleanliness and professionalism of all employees. I will definitely stay there again.

Bathrooms were a decent size with lots of hooks and something to hold your products in the shower (!!!). My dorm also had a private bathroom. Lockers under the bed were a great size. Cons: Hostel is on the top floor of building, so tons of stairs. Contruction outside the building makes it harder to find rhe place and makes lots of noise in the morning. Security isn't great either. I didn't receive any key for the building or my room. Even with cameras in the building/hostel, anyone can just walk in. Overall atmosphere wasn't great either. I wasn't looking for a party hostel, but having people to socialize with would have been nice. Everyone in my dorm room seemed to be in significantly older and no one would talk to each other in the dorm and the common areas.

Cons: Refuse the ground floor rooms - the noise carries over, poor sleep quality. We were given a room designed for a disabled person’s use, which had zero decorations and resembled a hospital room rather than a hotel room. I’ve stayed in another room last year and was much happier as it was nice and quiet. The hotel is basic but clean, staff are mostly polite but rather indifferent, the breakfast is good but very overpriced.

The hotel has a restaurant itself on the ground floor (creatively dubbed "Molly's Grill"), where you can eat breakfast or even have dinner. I quite enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which also had vegetarian options (like hummus, veggies, even pancakes). What I also found helpful was the 24/7 reception and the friendly staff. The fact that I could pay via card was very practical, since I arrived late at night and hadn't managed to exchange the fee into local currency. Once I was checked in after a long day on the road, I could enjoy a lovely cup of tea in the cozy common room. Tea and coffee are on the house in the common room, where there's also a fully furbished kitchenette, in case you need to prepare your own meals. I'd definitely come again :)

Cons: The weather was ugly and the radiator didn't function properly, even though I had asked for a check up of the room in advance. There was no way to air the tiny bathroom and because of the lack of heating and rain, the room was damp.

Cons: I understand that rooms need to be cleaned etc but still I was disappointed that I couldn't get an early check in, 2hrs prior. We only had the day we arrived in Poznań due to travelling long hours from another city and another city before that and wanted to see as much as we could. Lucky we could bag drop, but we were minty from travelling and it was a warm day. I would have even paid more for early check in. I understand the inconvenience of this to staff but you know its my holiday right? I didn't expect too much with it being a hostel, no mod cons etc.

Cons: What I worried about when I first got to my room was the fact that I could hear what was happening in the adjoining rooms. The building is older, so it's not very soundproof. Thankfully, I was so tired from my long trip and from sightseeing on the following days, that I could enjoy a good night's rest. However, if you're a light sleeper like I usually am, I'd advise taking this into account too when booking a room at Blooms.
