family service, very involved. hotel interior and corridors capable and very nice. rooms cleaned daily. object with a 24-hour reception (this gives a sense of security). luggage storage available. the rooms do not have air conditioning, but there is a quiet and powerful windmill. in the room was a TV with English-language channel, so everyone could find something for themselves at the time of rest. very good location, walking distance from the city center, and the metro station is just a step away.
the double room with private outside bathroom turned out to be a bit small. there was no wardrobe, but a bidet was right next to the bed. it may be the norm in Portuguese culture, but for us the bidet next to the pillows on the bed is distasteful and inappropriate. we were able to cover it with a shirt hanger and blanket. we also missed a kettle (during my stay I was sick and dreamed of hot cup of tea for bed), iron and hair dryer. my fiance complained about the hard spring mattress (it was ok for me).
Good location, close to major points of interest.
The bathroom stunk, despite being apparently clean. There was a strong odor coming through the pipes. There was a whole in the bathroom door. The furniture in the room seemed really old. The bed was quite small for 2 persons (though this is common in Portugal hotels). Overall, the hotel looked like it had seen better days.
Staff was friendly. The location is perfect, close to all the sights.
Glass door to the bathroom - it’s not mentioned anywhere, you have to be very close with your travel partner. Very poor sound isolation, busy road.
Bathroom smelled. Neighbor dog barked. Leak in ceiling caused wet bed and when told said, yes we have had problem there before. Asked to be moved and they put me in room above that caused the leak!
