Cons: Unfortunately, there is a half-finished building next door which spoils the outlook - the pool is tiny, think more large jacuzzi size, not for swimming; the breakfast was a little lacking in choice if you wanted continental only - on the whole, it was a little expensive for what was on offer, but not bad overall.

Pros: the location is good although as a single traveller i would have preferred to drive a car especially at night (in the end i was always using uber). the house is close to the beach and many restaurants and boardwalk area. the room was just perfect but the manager, Jill, made the real difference! she has been one of the greatest hosts ever, always extremely nice and helpful.

Although as the name suggests it is "at the sea", this is the docks area and the beach is a good walk or a taxi ride away.

Pros: Everything. Where to start. Location. For the cricket it's brilliant. A 4 minute walk and tucked away in a private cul de sac you wouldn't know it was so close Breakfast. Wonderful. Plentyfull and delicious. Filtered coffee, fresh fruit, fry up (with hp sauce of course) and fresh toast. Hospitality and friendship. So helpful and welcoming. You are treated as family and quickly become part of it. Nothing is to much trouble. Your encouraged to mix with other guests and the conversation soon starts to flow. Your hosts Marilyn and John are wonderful along with their beautiful daughter Chantel. Facilities and comfort. No aircon but a ceiling fan which was more than adequate. Hot shower, fresh towels and very comfortable beds Security. Very safe and Ubers are very cheap to get you around. Overall what a great place and I wouldn't hesitate to go back. Thank you my Port Elizabeth family and I look forward to seeing you all again.

Cons: The garden needs some work, just basic maintenance, this will improve the first impressions for guests. Trim the Avocado tree so that it doesn't scrape the roof of the car, clear the weeds and growth down to the room for better visibility, and clear some of the heavy low branches so that guests have a view of the valley. Some dangerous metal rods sticking out of the ground on the pathway, not suitable for small children. The TV room and dining area are open plan - perhaps consider some dividers to separate these to areas and provide more privacy. Such a special gem - deserves a little bit of love again.

Cons: Firstly the bed had hair all over, the white bedding had orange stains on it. The cutlery and the glasses were dirty. The room smell was bad, carpet was not proper cleaned and cat making noise by our door throughout the night. Secondly the room we were given was not the room we booked via booking.com, very disappointing. Didn't enjoy my stay at all!!!

Pros: Characteristic stay in PE. Very welcoming and friendly host. Nice and quite room. We where helped when needed. Breakfast was great! Catherine even got us a vegetarian breakfast which was really nice! She even upgraded our room because we and our luggage where a little much!

Cons: Our host was not welcoming, mainly concerned with her own interests. Parking is not suitable for a long vehicle. Room not suitable for those who are allergic to pet dander. Dated decor and furniture.

Cons: Steep narrow stairs, no Eftpos facility due to host being away, no breakfast as advertised but a reduced rate offered instead, neighbourhood not safe for walking around

Cons: The Owner is always worrying about what are you doing like you did not pay. There are dogs all over the place and I am allergic to dogs but the owner didn't do nothing about it. I felt like she doesn't like black people cause I felt neglected, when I asked her for plates and spoons she gave me a big bowl like a dog's bowl with big spoons that she would not use for her.
