9.5 Excellent
Pros: The room, the food, the service were as advertised. Location not hard to find, proximity of the coastline perfect, the pool great for young families. We are sure to come again...
Cons: The coast of the sea is mostly concrete-based and the approach in the water is hard. You need appropriate shoes... the sea was also pretty dirty...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was very nice. Expansive room and balcony! Excellent overnight stay! Wish we were here longer!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely staff, perfect cleanliness everywhere, food is delicious, property is perfectly maintained, garden is gorgeous. A little kid's paradise, highly recommend to everyone with children. However without kids it can be annoying that you have kids running around you everywhere. But with kids this is the perfect place to stay. Loved it. Thank you for the nice people of the hotel as well.
Cons: Nothing to mention
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The special pool area with the equipment for babies and toddlers.
Cons: Too busy at the start of the dinner. It seemed that the whole hotel wanted to eat at the same time.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very clean nice location. Food was very good
Cons: Entertainment was pretty poor and found the hotel very expensive for food and drinks
10.0 Excellent
Pros: 5 Star service, rooms, swimming pools, and breakfast/dinner buffets.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great facilities and lots of options in restaurant
Cons: No gym facilities
4.6 Okay
Pros: The apartments were well positioned and modern.
Cons: The food was terrible with no variety throughout the week and no fresh vegetables to be had on any day. Most of the food was swimming in oil. Each visit to the restaurant involved nearly a kilometre walk in each direction.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel. All new and clean. Cool and comfy design of the villas! Nice looking restaurant area. Lot of meal stations! Kids enjoyed swimming pool! Porec 25 min by walk away! We loved it!
Cons: Hotel has no beach area and public beach is not nice (concrete and stone).
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great variety of foods, nothing special, but everyone can find what he or she likes. Of course you need a good portion of patience because of the mass of children and guests, but it is always possible to find a relatively quiet corner.
7.9 Good
Pros: Staff in the kids club was excellent and my daughter enjoyed it.
Cons: Systematic overbooking of rooms and we were offered a conpletely inadequate replacement room. Finally it was resolved but the aftertaste remained.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was friendly, there were several pools to choose from, there was a kids club and playground onsite. The hotel was very close to the sea and within walking distance to many restaurants. About 10 minutes walk from a mini golf area. Wifi worked really well all over the resort and the suite was clean, modern and spacious.
Cons: The food was very disappointing. The same options offered every day for breakfast. The cut up fruit offered was bad: the pineapple was most of the time rotten and the watermelon was overripe with no taste. Dinner options were not great. It seemed like many of the days the options were the same and in the end the only item that was decent to eat was the pasta. Overall there was a variety of things to choose from, but the options were the same most days, tasteless and overlooked. The kids pools were freezing! They were only good to use in the late afternoon. Kids pools should be heated.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great meal, perfect staff, marvelous region. Simply everything.
Cons: Water in the kids pool was in my opinion colder than sea.
7.0 Good
Pros: In our situation: very good
Cons: No
4.7 Okay
Pros: It it is very expensive for such service and comfort. Old rooms and furniture, no conditions and moisture in rooms on hot weather. Have no beach on sea. In my opinion it is hotel for students but not for family. Have no WiFi. Good food.
3.7 Mediocre
Pros: Food was great.
Cons: Dog hairs in bed and on the floor were disgusting. Obviously we stayed in bungallows where pets are allowed. Cranky bathroom equipment do not deserve three stars.
5.7 Okay
Pros: food was good, rates fair
Cons: service could be more personal, sometimes smiling is missing
5.7 Okay
Pros: Very good value for money. Excellent half board with plentyfull breakfast & dinner. Friendly and service minded staff. The hotel is situated in a central position on the Istrian facitilytating excursions in the Istian peninsula.
4.8 Okay
Pros: swimming pool
Cons:

7.1 Good
Pros: The location of the hotel was great with lots of nice areas to walk through.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location, views, room comfort, delicious food...
Cons: -
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice, clean and spacious room. Very good breakfast and dinner! You really get a lot for the price that you pay. Kind staff.

Pros: Clean and comfortable rooms Hire bikes available which made travel into Porec much easier Good breakfast
Cons: 30 mins brisk walk into Porec and nothing else near to hotel so felt isolated Evening meal was buffet and although varied was often not warm enough
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful in the extreme. The rooms were spacious and very well appointed.Close to the main attraction of Porec, with its extraordinary basilica. Don’t miss it. And don’t miss the little publicized mortuary chapel, painted floor to ceiling in the 1400s, and wonderfully preserved,in the nearby village. AND the Michelin star restaurant near by.
Cons: Nothing
4.6 Okay
Cons: Food disappointing often cold when we arrived at 8pm and poor choice. Needed a car to go anywhere. Bikes were useless old and in poor condition. Nothing in the evening to do and seemed an effort to even bring a drink to our table. Pool couldn’t stand up which was frightening.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Staff were brilliant, the rooms were kept spotlessly clean. It's a great location. The food was fantastic, especially breakfast, which catered for every taste. The kids loved the pool. We'd happily book a return visit.
Cons: The car park was a bit cramped at peak times.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Service and food were awesome! Rooms are a bit on a tight side, but are also very nicely arranged and have all the neccessities that anyone would need. Due to many people staying there, parking spaces were a bit tight, but everything was still manageable.
7.9 Good
Pros: Location, staff and Swimming pool
Cons: half board is a waste particularly if there are vegetarians in your family

10.0 Excellent
Pros: B&B was lovely, large rooms, comfy beds and relaxing pool. Staff were all really friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the breakfasts in the adjoining restaurant and we booked to eat in the restaurant most nights as the food was really good. Great location and so peaceful about 2 kilometres from Porec.
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Pool area was really nice as was the room and staff but the highlight was the attached restaurant which was superb
8.3 Excellent
Pros: very cordial host; breakfast in the morning was very tasty, too bad I didn't have time to eat lunch or dinner in the konoba, from what I could see from the tables, it looked delicious. Parking without problems, secured and next to the apartment. The pool in the garden seems nice and clean but didn't test it, it was a bit too coldish outside. Everything seemed very clean.
Cons: Unfortunately, the drainage in the shower cabin seemed to be stuffed, I had water to my ankles within 2mins - should be checked by a plumber. WiFi was terrible. Even though there seemed to be a full signal, couldn't use or work neither my phone nor my laptop, it was very disfunctional. There were no croatian channels on TV (in Croatia), no english channels, in fact only a couple of second-rate german channels via satellite were accessible. I hope all the stuff above will improve because it's a very neat house with nice host(s).
10.0 Excellent

Pros: Location wonderful right on the pier. Breakfast was fabulous. Staff awesome.
Cons: Internet was dreadful in our room. Worked great in the lobby.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, advent time in Porec just in front of the apartment. Everything reachable on foot, car can be left in a reserved parking spot (additional cost).
Cons: No phone in the hotel apartment (if you want to reach the reception desk, you have to use your mobile and call headquarter office to connect you to reception desk).
5.8 Okay
Pros: Staff, location
Cons: Small toilet, unconfortable pillow, the view from the room window...
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good food, clean and modern room.
Cons: Rooms Guillieta remote of hotel, not able to sleep due to loud music from town.
7.5 Good
Pros: It was clean and in the village.
Cons: Although the overall location was good, the apartment was dark and the balcony unusable and in a gross cubby overlooking trash. Also when we arrived half the apartment had no electricity, we had no hot water, and the shower door lining was hanging off so the floor flooded. They. Came and fixed these things when pointed out, but it should have been done before arrival of guests.
Village Galijot Plava Laguna - Poreč - Building
9
8.8 Excellent (1,168 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Village Galijot Plava Laguna in Porec, you'll be by the sea, within a 10-minute drive of Aquacolors Porec and Brulo Beach. Featured amenities include a computer station, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Food choices were excellent for both breakfast and dinner, everyone could choose what they liked. The location is wonderful, very peaceful, and the grounds are immaculately maintained. You are close to the shore wherever you are , the trees and wildlife around are lovely. Rooms in the Village part were of a good size and well equipped with toiletries, slippers, sewing kit etc. Rooms were serviced daily by pleasant staff.
Cons: In one room the shower only stayed hot for a short while. We reported it but when the man came he felt the water for a moment and said it's hot, so no problem! He was very dismissive to the point of rudeness. So it wasn't fixed. We reported it a second time , it wasn't fixed. On leaving they said the boiler was fine but there had been a problem with the water flow. So in effect they did nothing to resolve the problem. It was really disappointing, no apology and no attempt to repair their reputation. Another small thing is that there are hair dryers in the room but they are like the old wall mounted ones you have in 1970's swimming pools!- I'd take your own. You also have to pay for parking and use of the safe in the room. It would be better if these were included in the overall price.
7.5 Good
Pros: Plava Laguna is a very peaceful location; a little peninsula with small rock beaches on every side, you feel surrounded by nature as it's nestled in amongst lot's of trees - the combination of sea and forest air is wonderful. It is a lovely 30-40 minutes stroll to Porec along the coast, passing beaches, bars and water sports/bike hire and other activities. We were there as a couple early in the season but the resort would be best suited to a family.
Cons: The site could do with a refresh; in the accommodation furniture is a little dated and the bathroom facilities are a bit basic. The small cabins are packed with furniture so feel a little cluttered and whilst the cleaning staff were very diligent, there are a lot of nooks and crannies which could be dust traps.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: nice beach spacious large spaces well-kept park
Cons: the double bed is made up of two pieces the bathroom taps are old
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great choice of food during breakfast and dinner, closeness of the sea, pool was clean, kind staff, great service, nice place to ride your bike.
Cons: Beds were a bit uncomfortable, they were slowly running out of things, it was a problem getting drinks at the bar during dinner Time.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location Parking Beach Dinner
Cons: Breakfast Non renovated bathroom Cleanliness of the room Small separate beds
7.9 Good
Pros: A natural evironment of the hotel is just amazing. Pine trees surround the all hotel area giving a desired shadow during the heat day. We took a half-board, which I strongly recommend here. The selection and quality of dishes at the diner was just perfect (not that good at the breakfast though) and the waitеrs were tactful and prompt (but don't be late to avoid waiting for a table and long queue at the buffet). The cleaning in the cottages was very good and unobtrusive (they managed to clean when we were out of of the room). Many guests come to the hotel for many years, there were people visiting it for the 10 times and more (sometimes you may feel yourself a stranger surrounded by sectarians).
Cons: I would not call it big issues, yet I would mention something as it may be goot to know. First, the hotel turned to be located quite far from Porec and that limits you in some senses: you have to go to a single Istrian supermarket with rather poor assortment and overpriced, you have to pay whenever you go a city (not accessible by foot) either on the tourist train, by taxi or water taxi. Of course, you may choose to stay at the hotel and saving money, but you may feel bored after 4-5 days of such vacation. In addition I would mention that the room in a cottage was quite small for 2 adults with a child (unfolded extra-bed interferred the access to a bathroom). And we wish to have a better selection of tea and coffee at the breakfast.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: spacious nice park well maintained environment dog friendly pleasant atmosphere nice beach
Cons: bathroom taps should be replaced
7.1 Good
Pros: The breakfast was nice but nothing special. The area is very beautiful and clean. The small houses you stay in are extremely nice.
Cons: The beds could be better. Overall the place is great for a 3 star resort, but since it has 4 stars I was disappointed by the quality.

7.5 Good
Pros: Host is very friendly and nice, helped us all the time and we were able to do late check in. Very tasty and big breakfast, was super. Airco was working very good. It is pretty quiet in the village and the hotel has a good atmosphere.
Cons: The bed was small for 2 persons and mattress was uncomfortable. Also wifi was not working at our room.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely family owned place. Delicious breakfast
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great people there.
4.6 Okay
Cons: The rooms come across very oppressive due to the older and darker furniture.we knew the interior was older from the pictures but the rooms with a double bed did seem to get more light.we got a room with two single beds on the ground floor.we had hardly any room to put out luggage.the ceiling was full of cobwebs and spiders, which i asked them to clear but upon returning to the room it wasn't much better. We were not pleased with the hygiene. The bathroom had a window which we had to cover with a towel because people walking by could see us. The wifi is bad as well. we didn't feel comfortable sleeping here and don't recommend it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We took half board and food was wonderful. Lovely hosts and we enjoyed staying away from main part of town.
Cons: Nothing.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Furniture was nicely restored antiques but comfortable for contemporary use. The hotel is located in a park like setting and very quiet.
Cons: Signs pointing the direction could be larger
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The family who own and run this small hotel are love people. We had an incredibly warm welcome. Our room was delightful with a sitting room separate from the bedroom and with two balconies. The rooms are air conditioned. Breakfasts were substantial and varied and the evening menu was comprised of what was available from the village; there were meat and pasta options we were able to sample most options as we stayed 3 nights, none disappointed us. If you want a quiet, friendly out of town hotel near Poreč this is definitely the place.

Pros: Nice pool area, good standard of food. Staff excellent
Cons: Needs a little updating in rooms
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Hospitality
Cons: Too many guests
5.8 Okay
Pros: Good but too much the same food
Cons: Crowded restaurant. Too many people, too much noise. People smokes everywhere with no respect for others. Large entertainment program but bad execution. No great view from balcony. Very expensive. You have to pay for even fresh juice for breakfast and water for evening. 750ml water = 32 kuna (4,3eur) Lots of noise in restaurant. It is not possible to eat outside even the hotel description state so. Staff at restaurant are very bad at english/german. Will not come back to this place. Not worth the money.

7.9 Good
Pros: Location, parking, beds
Cons: Pool was too small, choice of food in peak time very restrictive, not friendly for “wheels” (strollers, bikes, disabled ...)
7.9 Good
Pros: Third visit to Croatia but first to this hotel. Great location. Loved the walk along the coast to Porec. Comfortable, clean hotel, great pool. Restaurant got a bit crowded but food was plentiful and tasty.
7.9 Good
Pros: Very good choice of breakfast. Location quiet. Thirty minute walk into Porec or take mini train.
Cons: Evening entertainment
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good selection of food, waiters kept the tables clear at all times. Service of bar staff was good. Reception staff good and helpful.
Cons: Mattresses for the sun beds....having to lay on bare plastic beds was uncomfortable. Food selection towards the end of meals were low and warming trays could be made to keep food warmer.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great staff!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Upon arrival we were upgraded to a pool view room instead of park view, which was a really nice suprise. Parking onsite was only 1€ per day! Half board is included and the choices of food are endless. Dinner also included wine and beer. Overall the hotel was really delightful and had a zen vibe to it. Such a big green area surrounding the hotel. The pool was warm enough for swimming.
Cons: The ventilator turned on every time you switched on the light in the bathroom and continued working for several minutes after switching the light off. That fact was problematic only in the night time, when someone used the bathroom and tried to go back to sleep, but the noise was just too much. Bathrooms overall are on the tiny side.
7.5 Good
Pros: Very relaxing location perfect food good entertainment not bad Hammocks area very nice
Cons: Come on Croatia if you are competing with the big boys why no mattresses on the sun beds ,very uncomfortable after a while

Pros: Everything was great from the friendly staff who picked us up at the offsite parking area to the location right on the ocean in the heart of the old town. Beautiful old hotel well maintained with modern touches. Would absolutely stay here again. Breakfast was very good also
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Best location in Poreč. Friendly and professional staff. Clean and spacious room.
Cons: The hotel's parking is outside the city.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Position is excellent and personale staff is very good.
Cons: Bathroom is very poor with breaking shower head and toilet cover is broken. Bathroom is generally for renovation. In 11AM they automatically switch off electricity in the room. So if you in the toilet..., Good luck....
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Small friendly Hotel with a fantastic location.
Cons: More sun beds need around pool area
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were universally kind, understanding and always helpful. We did not encounter any negative interactions on our trip. The rooms were immaculate and beautiful. Would definitely stay there again when we go back!
7.5 Good
Pros: It is a prime location right at the water edge with a beautiful view of island Sveti Nikola and the sunset. We booked the suite which is enormous and occupies almost entire front part of the hotel with a huge balcony. With such a luxurious accommodation one expects that everything else vill be at the same level but was not. We had two full bathrooms and they were both very nice and spacious. Interior decor in the reception area and our suite was nice, as one would expect from a boutique hotel.
Cons: Breakfast was very average and uninspiring. Understaffed crew at breakfast, and one of the waiters was not friendly at all. Beds, mattresses, and bedding in our suite were certainly not of top quality. We had and enormous balcony that had cheap outdoor furniture and a single plastic lounge chair!? The worst part of the hotel, which one cannot see from the photos posted on the web is horrendous looking gray adjacent structure which houses a casino. There is the same adjoining structure at the other wing of the hotel that seems to house additional accommodations and spa. It is such a pity that a beautiful historic hotel has been visually devastated with these modern additions.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice hotel. Super apartment! Nice view from room. Guys on reception very friendly and helpfull! Will definitelly wants to go to this apartment again.
Cons: Restaurant staff very slow and unproffessional. It looks like we have been serve different vine than we ordered. I am sorry to say but food was nothing special too, it was just tasteless... And without idea... Breakfast simple but OK. It up There was NO hot water all the stay. Just litlle warm so it was not possible to shower. Not sure how is this possible.
6.0 Good
Pros: Location and staff is very helpful
Cons: Bed was wery bad room wery small and dark not worth for the money we being charged parking was expensive and far from our hotel.

Pros: Yes and Yes

Pros: A gem of a find. This apartment was enormous and full of features. Very modern and clean. The attached restaurant and pool are also great bonuses.
Cons: Check out time could be a little later. Some english language channels on the tv would nice - but this is nit picking!

Pros: The location of the hotel was great with lots of nice areas to walk through.
Cons: The cleaning of the room was not done with any attention to detail. It always felt like only half the job was done. For example, glasses were not cleaned and were left where they had last been placed by us...

Pros: Location, views, room comfort, delicious food...
Cons: -
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice, clean and spacious room. Very good breakfast and dinner! You really get a lot for the price that you pay. Kind staff.
Cons: Gym is a bit out-dated and dark. Prices of the drinks at the dinner are a bit high (3 eur for 1 dcl of wine of the house).

Cons: It was a little out of town. The safe in our room was broken.
8.3 Excellent
