Pros (+) It doesn't look like much from the outside but inside Hulku is a nice little oasis with a pool, flowing fountains, and large, clean and comfortable rooms. About 3 blocks from 5th Av, it's close to everything but is also far enough away that you don't get the tourist hordes and can find places where locals hang out.
Cons (-) The staff were not the most attentive or proactive - you have to ask about everything rather than being informed of anything up front. A Do Not Disturb sign was also regularly ignored.
