Bathroom smelled strongly of stale tobacco smoke. Overall, the room and the premises badly need refurbishment. Threadbare carpets throughout speak volumes.
Nicely appointed rooms and very quiet.
No soap in the shower dispencer, the towels are too small ( hand towels only), one light not working over the desk area.

Staff friendly and helpful. Bed comfortable. We were offered a change of room but declined as we had a lot of luggage and two dogs we would have to relocate.
Toilet used and unflushed. Basin dirty. No sugar and tea bags with hospitality tray. Epos machine would not accept cards and after 4 attempts had to do it manually and there was no spare machine available
Good shower, I like the big squeezy bottles of shower gel and soap (greener than individual soaps that get binned after one night), quiet given the location. Excellent for a budget hotel to provide a hairdryer in room and hot chocolate on the hospitality tray.
No bar on site (or anywhere to buy even a bottle of beer to enjoy in the room) and only junk food dining (we don't regard a choice between kfc, Pizza Hut, McDonalds and the usual motorway services rubbish as much of a choice). Great that there was an m&s on site but that's no good for a hot dinner.
