The hotel was located just outside the old town centre and we were advised about the escalators nearby which carried us right up to the centre. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful and spoke some English. Breakfast was in a small cafe just round the corner from the hotel and was basic but adequate. Good value for money.
Very happy with our choice of hotel.
Brilliant location. The Italians have escalators up to their hilltop towns and the hotel was right next to one. We were on the ground floor. May have struggled a bit if up the stairs. Room was lovely with good bathroom. Excellent value for money
Google maps sent us around in circles from the link so parked and walked
The hotel is very central and in close proximity to the station. Staff try to be as helpful s possible.
The room is dated and somewhat shabby. There was an unused tatty frigo-bar in the corner of the room which is an eyesore. The furniture in the room is antique and unappealing. The bedframe paint terribly chipped (no, not purposely distressed) There is a fruit and veg market in front of the hotel so you can get some noises in the early hours with the stall owners lugging their wares. We had to cancel the breakfast on the last day as it was not worth it.
Stayed only for one night. Check-in and check-out went smoothly. The guy at the reception desk was very friendly and he even let us leave our luggage in the hotel for a couple hours whilst we were still visiting the city. The location was really good as the hotel is situated very close to the old city and you can easily reach the top with the escalators which are open till late. The room was spacious and clean.
The only issue we had was that we got woken up at 7/7:30am in the morning by someone going up/down the stairs very loudly (possibly another guest checking out), it sounded as if they were jumping on every single step. Better main door for the room would probably keep more noise out. Or since our room was on 2 floors, moving the bed on the top floor and keeping the bottom floor as a lounge area would probably help. However, not sure if the space would allow this. It’s a shame, because overall we liked the place.
One cannot download the baggage in front of the hotel after 20:00. There are a dozen steps before Hotel entrance and no elevator inside to reach a second floor. You hear traffic noise in the night and market noise in the morning just below the hotel.
