Overall Hotel Sole is a very nice place to stay. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I thought the rooms were reasonably priced.
That pool looks way better in the photo than it actually is. Hotel has many receptionists and while most of them are very sweet, one was very rude. I had a tough morning (went down to reception and talked with them, so they knew it was messed up morning), went up to chill a bit more and fell asleep without setting any alarm. 12:00 precisely, what is a checkout time, a heavy knock on doors woke me up. All confused and almost naked I opened the door when this receptionist named Nong started screaming that I either leave NOW or pay another night. I stayed there for two nights already and since I just woke up, I was so confused as of why this woman is screaming at me. I told her I need a little time to pack, she kept screaming that I must leave NOW or pay, NOW or pay, NOW or pay. I quickly realised that there is no way I will stay here any longer with that attitude towards me, so I asked her to give me some time to put some clothes on and pack up. She kept screaming that I get 5 minutes. I packed up, left the room really neat, went down. She then demonstratively said that she must check the room for any damage. Of course it was ok. I wanted to sit down and look for another place to go to, but the moment I sat down I burst into tears. Luckily I had sunglasses to cover up, but still all receptionists noticed that. While some of them were really sweet, Nong was clearly making comments about me and laughing. I mean, it was clear it was about me as she kept looking and even pointing at me. There were two men sitting and drinking coffee. I later asked if any of them is the owner by any chance and yes, one of them is the owner. But he did not care to intervene, I guess that behavior with customers is ok for them. I was not drinking or misbehaving anyhow, I just had a terrible morning and went up to rest a bit more when I fell asleep and overslept the checkout. I guess they are nice with you as long as you are a paying customer, that is until max 11:59. 12:00 leave NOW.
