CitizenM Paris Gare de Lyon

The room was very spacious, the huge bed very comfortable. The view is amazing: could see Tour Montparnasse, Sacré Cœur and if looking diagonally through the window the Eiffel Tower (I had a better view room, though not the Eiffel Tower view room). Rooftop bar and the bar in the lobby are also very nice and big. The location is perfect if you travel by public transport: Gare de Lyon is within walking distance (5 minutes) through a small shopping center and Gare d'Austerlitz very close (12 minutes on foot) and so are they metropolitan lines (incl. RER).

Only thing I missed was tea making facilities. I am shure though, the staff would have provided me a kettle if I had asked for it. Also I am not a big fan of "toilet and shower cabins": this one at least was very well isolated and not a transparent one.

The meals were good. The staff excellent. The hotel was very trendy and clean.

The room for two family members was a bit small.

This is the second time I have stayed here, and it was equally as good as the first. A great hotel all round - the rooms are small but all the same size so you don't feel like you're missing out on something better! :) Rooms are cosy, very quiet and well laid out, great for business travel. Beds are comfy. The lounge/bar area downstairs is excellent for working, relaxing, meeting friends or clients - there is an area for everyone and when you're traveling solo, you don't feel like you are on your own. Its very much NOT a business hotel but in the best possible way! Staff are super helpful, very international and friendly. Its also right next to Gare de Lyon so handy to get around. Given the recent coronavirus news, I also appreciated the hand sanitiser readily available at the reception and also bar areas.

Really nothing, it was only a 2 night stay but all was great.

The location close to Gare de Lyon allowed us to visit all the main sites in Paris with relative ease. I was very impressed by CitizenM's implementation of technology, both in the check-in/check-out process, as well as the tablet that controls your room. We had a room facing the courtyard, and managed to sleep very well as the rooms are very well sound isolated and the black-out curtain blocks out all the light (not to mention the super comfortable bed). I would thoroughly recommend CitizenM Gare de Lyon to couples, solo travelers, and business travelers, as it is a very good place to rest and unwind after a busy day in Paris or a long flight.

The breakfast is a bit expensive, we opted to go to some local crêperies instead (I would recommend checking out Les Embruns for some tasty savoury and sweet crêpes). Also the capsule-style of hotel room can be a bit intimate with the lack of a separate en-suite bathroom, I wouldn't recommend it to families or other travelers who aren't solo or couples.
