Pros:We found the spacious studio apartment to be spotlessly clean (this is a major compliment coming from someone who never leaves home without antibacterial wipes!) and the kitchenette was well equipped. Our experience of the staff at reception was that they were very helpful, efficient and courteous. The location was excellent with two metro stops very close by and Place de la Bastille a few minutes walk away. Our 5th floor studio gave us lovely views over the picturesque Boulevard Richard Lenoir. We had a great stay at Citidenes Bastille Marais it is the perfect base to experience Paris.
Cons:A very minor criticism is that while the room had been recently redecorated some of the kitchen cupboards, the toilet, the bath and the tiling over the bath were looking a little tired, but overall we thought that this Citidenes residence exceeded it's 3 star rating.
Pros:Perfect location in the Marais area, excellent public transportation to major sights, courteous attentive service. Loved the kitchenette and the convenience of preparing coffee in the morning after picking up fresh pastries from nearby bakeries. There is an open market right across the street twice/week and restaurants within walking distance. A bus station is right in front of the hotel and line 69 takes you right to the Eiffel tower in one direction. The other direction is a couple of stops away from the famous Pere Lachaise cemetery. A much better deal than a tourist bus. For a little over Euro 1 you see most of Paris.
Cons:The hotel is on a busy street, with traffic even during the night. However, it didn't bother us at all. If someone prefers less street noise, might want to use upper floors.
Pros:Clean, great location
Cons:Be careful at breakfast...it is NOT free !
