What are the cons of staying at Aparthotel Adagio Paris Opéra?
Bed is a sofa with thin mattress. No option of changing towels etc. Low Water pressure, housekeeping comes once every 7-8 days. The rooms were super cold and took a whole day for the room to get warm. Most of the hardware in the room was broken. The coffee and tea were not refilled when we checked in. I have never seen a hotel that you can't change the temperature for your own at all. They had standard 20' degrees and every single day we had to go to the reception and ask to increase for the night and the next morning they were reducing it again. This habit would suite for a 60e hotel not 185e. No one cleaning my room for the six night stay. Nobody ever cleaned a room. The room is really small and there is no cleaning unless u paid extra money since we stayed less than 1 week. A little dark, not enough light in the dark. Check in was at 3pm wasn’t checked in until 4pm. The toilet sink had an ongoing leak which the facilities team were aware of as previous occupants mentioned that was the reason as to why they moved rooms. Cutlery in the room wasn’t cleaned properly. The staff we’re not smiling, there is no cleaning, the hotel system didn’t show our correct reservation and that lead us to book in another hotel by walking at night in the fashion week and all hotels were reserved!! The safe box had some malfunction. Air conditioning was not so powerful. Their eating area was too small. No daily cleaning. No cleaning during my stay and water pressure of bathroom is too low. Rooms a little small. Unfortunately in 2023 the breakfast we paid for was nowhere near the standard it was in 2015. In our apartment the only criticisms are the floor needed a good wash, water pressure in the shower was very low and the hair dryer was badly underpowered. With the breakfast which we paid for but didn't use, we tried to get Adagio to refund the cost on day 1 but they said they couldn't because we paid via Booking.com. I have sent several messages about this to Booking.com and they have not even given me the courtesy of a reply. Ignoring your regular customers is very poor business practice and very disappointing. It was BAD Service. Chaotic System. Hiring Part Timer with NO KNOWLEDGE of HOTELS at all. facilities was old and worn out. no room service, no help from staff whatsoever and you have to do literally everything starting from carrying your luggage to and from your room without having a luggage cart in the hotel. we hade to prepare the sofa beds, staff rejected the request to do it. you need towels, bedsheets, pillows, etc. you beed to go down the storage to collect it. safety box was placed in a place that you cannot use. requested 2 vans to drop us to the airport, we got 2 small taxis and got charged 50€ more than the agreed rate with the hotel. the price on booking.com was much higher than the one at the reception. work was in progress at that time, the hotel looks like a construction site. Limited choice of breakfast I got 2 rooms (quadruple room and double room) located on 6th floor. But when check out, the elevator was not functioning. I had to take luggages to 4th floor and took back up elevator (it looks like not fully operational elevator) to the lobby. Complicated and tiring. No services at all dull lobby staff are not very welcoming. NOTHING. I used to be able to change the towels by bringing them to the reception counter......now they say each change will cost me 6 euros. The water pressure in the shower needs adjustments. Just enough although the sink has strong pressure! hygiene. it’s ready run down. bed is bad. no air conditioner. cleaning is every 7 days! The size of the studio barely fits for a baby crib in the pics it looked more spacious. no A/C rooms need maintenance uncomfortable beds not worth the money.
