Nice property, in the middle of an olive orchard, not to far from Otranto beach and old city, a 5 minutes ride by car. The breakfast provided each day on the balcony was very nice. The only back-flaw is that there is no 24 hours reception. You have to coordinate your arrival with the owner to gain access to accommodations. When you get your room, check it thoroughly, if something is missing or not working you will have to wait till next morning when the staff arrives for a short period for the cleaning and maintenance. They usually will leave the site after 3 to 4 hours (around 12 o'clock). There are bicycles free to use to ride the country roads and the nearby beaches.
Addition of some little things, like a shelf in the bathroom,a small table in the courtyard, etc., provision of more electrical outlets, (nowadays everyone is traveling with phones, tablets, laptops and other electrical gadgets that need to be charged overnight).

I wanted to be out of town, but close enough to walk or cycle there. This was in olive groves and though access to the cliffs and coast was an agricultural obstacle course, the location was, for me, perfect. And Salvatore and the cat were excellent hosts- responsive, attentive, but didn’t crowd me.
Walls are pretty thin so you can hear the other guests. But take ear plugs. It’s worth it.

Lovely breakfast and nothing too much trouble.Wish I had command of the language but we got by.
Enjoyable stay and as I knew about the location, I cannot say there was anything I didn't like. Walk the lanes and smell the hedgerows. Fennel, sage, rosemary. Beautiful.

We travelled as a family of 5 and La Zudrea was a fantastic place to stay for us. Spacious, quiet and relaxing to break away from the crowd. The owner was always very friendly and approachable from the moment we arrived when he offered us a fantastic espresso coffee and juices. The breakfast is fantastic, freshly made croissants and pasticciotto leccese (local sweet)
Given the summer season, there were many mosquitos but you can use some repellent and that’s all!
