You can borrow a hairdryer, kitchen tools and board games for a cash deposit. Your laggaue can be stored before CheckIn and after CheckOut. Very comfortable. There is a list of free things to do in Oslo.
Staff and situation are both great
Kitchen in the room makes everything stinks. No lockers in the room. No key to lock the toilets/shower in the room
Nice and clean. Good Staff
Mattress was bad.
Will focus on the stuff since everything else seems to be just okay Night shift (bearded ginger big guy): easy going and doesn't force hostel rules, he gave free bedsheets to one guest in my room because his bank card didn't work. Day shift (the blond girl, not the other ones): she helped me print the boarding pass for my flight back home free of charge when i told her my phone is completely broken.
On the other hand Night shift: was insisting to spell my name the wrong way just to tease me, this seems childish to me but I ignored it. Day shift (the same girl above): she broke in our room to do "checking rooms" and then tried to give me a fine of 200NOK for not having bedsheets. I told her i was never informed i should have them and the receptionist just asked me if i want to rent them and i said no. He let me go without! She answered this rule is: -Written at the reception (overhead board) -Written at booking terms and conditions -Written at the key card for my room. But: -the reception board says: bedsheets are not included in the price. It doesnt say anything about mandatory or a fine if you dont use them. -booking.com hotel policy doesnt have anything, but there is a section called "fine print" in the hotel page and it says bedsheets rental is 70NOK that's all, it doesnt say they are mandatory, and i guess I should make the conclusion from this header title ? So the pricelist in booking.com should be updated first to 50NOk, they seem to not care about the info there. That's really old article. And doesnt say how much the fine is. It should be clearly stated it is 200NOK or that article is void by default. The same as there is a clear sticker at every room saying that the fine for smocking is 1000NOK (if i remember correctly) This means i could be charged 200 and other guest 300 depending on what they decide! -the keycard does say: bedsheets are mandatory, that's true. (The only place where it says that) and it doesnt say anything about the fine. Am not sure if i should read every communication or little text from the hostel, the only thing i paid attention to was the hostel policy page in booking.
The hostel was quite ok, but staff was not very kind. The position is central, though not in the nicest part of the city.
