- Probably the most genuine japanese experience I had: Sleeping in a business hotel were salary-man stay when they get out too late from work. The location and the place makes you go back to Japanese 90's. Nishinari is close to sinsekai and the zoo, and it is a great stop to go straight to the Kansai Airport. Many local karaoke places, and small restaurants that will give you a proper local japanese experience. - Very cheap to have your own room. - No surprises, you get what you pay for, and what you see in the fotos (no extras either). - No staff present until check in hours (15pm), but if you need to drop your luggage there are a couple of places nearby for 150yen a day (until 21pm). - Clean and quiet enough. - Tatami, futon and yukata, proper Japanese.
- The room is tiny, but nothing that you don't see in the photos, they don't lie. - Everything is very very old, is part of the charm but you need to deal with it. - Bathroom closes at 21pm, if you were busy till then, nothing to do, shower the next day. Obviously you still have a shared toilet in every floor. - The staff is not very communicative or they don't explain much, but there's info in English available. This is not bad if you want privacy: You get the key, pay, fill the papers, and go to the room straight away.. - Tobita sinchi nearby, is the most dangerous neighbourhood in Osaka (very safe compared to my country though, I really like it, but i could see quite a lot of chinpiras at night). Also many homeless around, even though they are harmless and even nice people. - I loved my staying in there, but it is not for everyone, but more for salaryman and curious tourists like me.
Stayed there half a dozen times or more. See previous comments.
Close to everything. Good deal for the price.
No towels available that I was aware of. Woman only have an hour a day when they can use the shower.
Very close to Tsutenkaku neighborhood and lots of shops.
The location is very close to namba , the zoo, and dontburi. Also there are food stalls and convience stores nearby as well .
It was dirty. This part of the city is a little sketchy.
With a stay at Park Inn in Osaka (Minami), you'll be a 4-minute walk from Spa World and 8 minutes by foot from Tsutenkaku Tower. Featured amenities include luggage storage, an elevator, and a vending machine.
