Pros: The property is stunning. It is located in a winery/olive farm. The rooms are comfortable and the owner is very happy for you to walk around the property.
Cons: It is located in a rather remote location but that added to the charm for us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Owner was very friendly
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The quintessential Tuscan villa situated on the estate’s winery. Expansive views of Tuscany, surrounded by grapevines and olive trees. Glorious sunsets to enjoy on the well appointed back patio, and a feast for the photographer! The five bedrooms are separated for privacy if with a group, and the property’s additional cottage is adorable! Edda is the owner and is a real sweetheart—ensured all our needs and questions were met, and a lovely person to meet and know. We scheduled a pizza night on the veranda with pizzas cooked on premises in the wood burning pizza oven, as well as another evening’s full course dinner prepared right in our own kitchen—absolutely would repeat both if lucky enough to return. Conveniently located approximately 20 minutes outside of the gorgeous hill town of Cortona, you’re minutes away from groceries, gasoline, and the A1 for convenient visits to other Tuscan hill towns. Our visit included a very interesting tour of the winery.
Cons: No negatives to report.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous property run by lovely people. Walking through the vineyards in the morning was a treat and it's a quick drive from the center of Orvieto
9.0 Excellent
Pros: This property was ideally located just 10 minutes from Orvieto. Angela was very welcoming and provided a wonderful breakfast. She also helped with letting us know the ideal places to visit and eat. We hired a car in Florence to tour Tuscany and Umbria. Orvieto was the ideal spot to drop off the car at the train station then catch a train into Rome. Thank you Angela and family for looking after us!
Cons: Would have preferred if we had a small fridge in the room...otherwise perfect
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We loved the reception and home from home hospitality offered by Angela. The facility was well appointed, clean, quiet and comfortable. Well located on a lovely farm with Orvieto Old City on the hilltop. Plenty of advice and where to go from our hostess Angela. Wonderful person and so easy to relate to. Lovely breakfast included Thank you Angela. We would have enjoyed a longer stay. Thank you for making it memorable and will certainly recommend you Kind regards Paul and Margery Somerset West SOUTH AFRICA

Pros: The room was gorgeous with a view overlooking the whole valley! Nicer than the photos. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nice and clean. The room is perfect and spacious enough for two. There was a coffee machine, fridge and air-conditioning. A fantastic location too, everything within walking distance in this town!

Pros: The most amazing view from our window . Sabrina and staff guided us through the city, helped with our luggage to unload and provided very safe parking nearby. The location is one side of a hilltop city. Highly recommend this place
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were informed via email on the correct route to Ripa Medici before our arrival. We had free parking. On arrival we received a map of Orvieto and the highligts were marked clearly. Sabrina also reccomended a restaurant for us and made a booking.

Pros: Selena met me & went with us to the free parking. Then walked us back to the accommodation luckily using lifts. Only problem was stairs in the building but only 1 floor. And you have to expect that in an old building. The rooms are stunning! The view stunning. It even smelled Devine! Every thing you could want & Selena a call away. Restaurant suggestions ✔️ Didn’t leave Orvieto - just enjoyed it all.

La Magnolia - Orvieto - Bedroom
3
9.4 Excellent (703 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at La Magnolia in Orvieto, you'll be steps from Duomo di Orvieto and Orvieto Underground. Featured amenities include luggage storage and an elevator.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very spacious clean room with nice views of the center of town. Very comfortable beds. Free full breakfast is served next door at their own restaurant. Very accommodating staff & owner. Free WiFi in each room. Excellent location in the center of town with great restaurants and shopping. No need for a taxi unless you want to travel to the countryside.
Cons: No elevator. One long straight staircase to get to the rooms on the second floor.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location friendliness of staff cleanliness of unit
Cons: The noise level far exceeded my liking. The bar/restaurant carries on the first night until 1am. At 4am it sounded as though someone was dragging a heavy bag down the 3 flights of stairs! Then was awoken at 6:30am with the sound of construction across the street
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Proximity to restaurants and shops.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfectly located in Orvieto. Very comfortable, quiet. Open the window and listen to Italy alive in conversation, laughter, and love. Note: You cannot drive to this address. Locate the B&B, park your car, then walk through the narrow streets. You will be rewarded with every thing you need for a busy but relaxing stay. We recommend La Magnolia!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Quiet, comfortable and clean. The location is fantastic! Friendly and helpful owner.
Cons: Not really something we didn’t like, but with two people it would have been nice to have another mirror. Preferably something more full length
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about La Magnolia B&B was perfect for us, we loved it. Fantastic location on Via del Duomo merely metres away from cafes, restaurants, museums, shops, supermarket and the highlight of Orvieto, the stunning Cathedral. The generous size rooms are spotlessly clean with great quality fixtures, furniture, towels and linens, modern bathroom with a wonderful shower. The very comfortable bed combined with the quiet atmosphere at night ensures good quality sleep. Breakfast served next door in the family cafe is fresh and delicious with excellent coffee. A lot of attention to the beautiful decor of the rooms and general areas adds to La Magnolia’s Italian charm and character and the host, Serena is very friendly, and helpful with suggestions - thank you. How ever many days you are staying in Orvieto always add on one extra as there are so many things to see and do, and a visit to Civita Di Bagnoregio shouldn’t be missed (30-40 minute bus ride away). We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at La Magnolia and it was a favourite highlight of Italy which will hold many happy memories for years to come. Leaving our luggage on site until it was time to catch our train wasn’t a problem and extended our last day in Orvieto which we greatly appreciated. We will definitely return on our next visit and will highly recommend La Magnolia to family and friends.
Cons: Nothing - loved it all.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The room is nice and comfortable, decor is pretty cute and there’s a small library with seating just outside our room. We did not use it but we think it’s a nice touch. Bathroom/shower was clean and larger than the average European bathroom.
Cons: Facility is too close to the main drag, we could hear street noise at night.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very conveniently located. Good bed. Hot shower.
Cons: No microwave.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property, the food, the wine, the people, even the little dogs running around all beautiful!!! We had an amazing meal on the terrace under the full moon, the food was brilliant, as was the wine. Breakfast was served out on the terrace each morning, there were lovely walks around the vineyard and Orvieto was a quick drive down the road and one of the most beautiful towns we have been to in Italy. I can't recommend Locanda Palazzone enough and the area, we will definitely be trying to get back there soon, ideally for some Truffle hunting!
Cons: Not one single thing!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The service was so personable and amazing. Gracious hosts. Beautiful location. Beds were a little hard, but overall it was an amazing relaxing find. Orvieto is gorgeous and quaint.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was excellent
Cons: Our shower rose was blocked with calcium so the water sprayed into my eyes rendering it useless so I have to use the hand held hose. I did mention this and that the holes should be unblocked with a needle but nothing happened. I also felt the toilet could have been cleaner.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A wonderful place in a beautiful small town, with the most wonderful view ever! The room was very spacious, clean and cosy! The owner and the staff were fabulous, and couldnt be more kind and helpful. The breakfast was very delicious (sweets and savoury). Dinner was delicious too with a menu that changes daily. Pros: Breakfast was excellent with lovely home made cakes. Gorgeous view from the garden
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The most beautiful views from the garden and the extremely friendly staff. The bathroom was really nice and clean (some bathrooms in Italy can be so small). It was a calm happy place to be after spending a few days in hectic Rome. Sorry I did not say goodbye Rosanna!!
Cons: Make sure you have a flashlight (phone light with do) for the walk down the hill at night.
6.0 Good
Pros: Rosanna and her helpers, wonderful and helpful people. Very clean.
Cons: The beds are too narrow, too hard and too short. The location is, if you want to walk to town, very dangerous for the first 100 meters.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Ludovica and Bernardo are incredible hosts and their home is gorgeous! I would absolutely, 100% recommend this B&B for a stay in charming Orvieto.

Pros: Giampiero and all his staff are excellent. Our room was very nice. Dinner in the Rosati style with all participating guests was awesome. Breakfast was a another treat.
Cons: I have no negatives.
7.0 Good
Pros: The room was quite spacious, but I believe we had the wheelchair accessible room. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with eggs made to order by Nicolo. He was very kind and made us feel at home. The stone lodge was beautifully restored. Giampiero, the owner, was very friendly and shared the history of the house. He also showed us his old wine cellar, which was really a treat.
Cons: We would have liked to have a hot pot in the room for early morning coffee. Also, since there was no mini fridge an ice bucket would be helpful. Francesca did provide a small bowl of ice for us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was such a beautiful and unforgettable time. Giampiero and his staff were so friendly and welcoming. Highlights included the stunning Agri Turismo (country hotel) and location. A communal shared guest experience 4 course dinner using fresh picked produce from the garden that day! Sublime food & matched with wines (amazing value) while the owner told us stories and history of his region. Not to mention the delicious and generous breakfast.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The dinners at the communal table were excellent, notably the risotto funghi primi piatti. Cost is 40 Euros per person which includes copious wine and Lemoncello. The staff are excellent! Best with a car.
Cons: Some noise from the road so a room facing the rear is preferable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast and dinner were fabulous. Jeanpierro and Anna were terrific!!!

Overview Reviews
Located in Orvieto, Agriturismo La Chiusetta is in a rural location, within a 10-minute drive of Crocifisso del Tufo and Porta Romana. Featured amenities include luggage storage and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything about this property was superb!! I was besides myself at the beauty and attention to detail everywhere you turned. The property is very well maintained and clean. Super cute- exactly what I would imagine a storybook farm stay or agriturismo would be like. The rooms are a bit dated but nothing bad- it actually gives it a great charm. This stay was like an oasis after a day of travel and site seeing of the hill towns. Orvieto is so conveniently close and one the best of the hill towns we visited. This was one of our favorite stays in Italy that truly gave us the comfort of home. This was one of the best dinners I had in all of Italy!! I felt I got very authentic dishes of the area. Everyone there was super sweet- I wish we could of stayed longer. We will definitely come back on our next trip to Italy.
Cons: Check-in process. Not sure if we had to let them know what time we were coming but we arrived within the window. This part was quite disorganized and we had to figure a lot out on our own.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: a beautiful setting, lovely staff and great to walk around the farm early in the morning, fantastic views of Orvieto from under the oak trees by the pool
Cons: nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff. The location and landscape. Will recommend to friends.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The grounds were beautiful as was the room we stayed in. We had breakfast and dinner outside beside the olive trees which were lit with lamps in the evening. The pool was essential to cool down in the Summer heat after a walk through the nearby woods. There are many guided walks to do in the region and if I had been able to stay longer would have liked to have gone one.
Cons: There is no dinner option on the Sunday and we had brought a pizza which was a shame because we were unable to use the kitchen to heat it up in.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I can not speak highly enough of our stay at La Chiusetta. It is the second time we have visited and this time was even better than last year. The food, the room, the staff, the pool, everything was perfect.
Cons: A little fridge in the bedroom, maybe.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was our favourite stop on our Italian road trip. The staff are friendly, rooms are ever so comfortable and that pool is just as gorgeous as it looks in the photo. We had it to ourselves both days and couldn’t believe our luck. The real highlight for me was also the food - completely delicious and such a treat after a long day travelling. I thoroughly recommend eating at La Chiusetta. I had visited Orvieto before and wanted to stay nearby and just felt so lucky to find this gem, can’t recommend enough.
Cons: I liked it all!

7.9 Good
Pros: Location was really good, the rooms were large and comfortable. The entire resort was spotlessly clean. The restaurant was very good quality with very friendly staff. Overall, it was also good value for money.
Cons: Common areas could use updating. The area surrounding the pool was wooden decking which was painted black (which obviously absorbed the heat) and wasnt in great condition with many screws sticking out and quite a few splintered areas. Similarly, the playground was in need of some repairs.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Just want to thank all the staff members for being so friendly and for making our stay fantastic. You can not find a better stop between Rome and Florence. The views are definitely worth coming for and the food and local amazing wines made our stay there one of the best experiences ever. 7.9 Good
Pros: Nice secluded location. Well lit pool at night.
Cons: The air-conditioning unit was very, very noisy. The hotel address was not in GPS, little signage to find the hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Even though the owner/manager spoke little English and we spoke little Italian, he was delightful and so hospitable, meeting all our needs and making our stay most enjoyable. We’d recommend staying down in the plain in the lovely Villa Acquafredda amongst the vineyards and olive trees instead of in the medieval village. Each day of our stay we walked an enjoyable 10 minutes to the funicular to make our way up the mountain to explore beautiful Orvieto. A highlight was a tour of the ancient walls and through the tunnels with a most delightful, passionate and knowledgeable guide. We’re so glad this beautiful Medieval Village was recommended to us. It was a perfect way to complete a five week holiday in Europe.

Pros: It was the best place we stayed in our whole trip. Would go back tomorrow if I could. Great location, beautiful room, good breakfast and very nice people. Just perfect...
Cons: Could have used a little larger shower. I am a small person but shower was super small. I would stay here again in a heart beat.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: It is a charming small hotel in a fabulous position next to the spectacular Duomo. There is a small area at the front of the hotel with tables and chairs, a lovely spot for a drink or a coffee to watch the activities around the Duomo. I was greeted by a delightful receptionist Paola who was pleasant and helpful throughout my stay as were most other staff. My two night stay extended to three nights due to a train strike and arrangements for me to stay on were dealt with efficiently and with a minimum of fuss. Paola made an excellent recommendation for dinner next to the hotel. Also there was a small lift which accessed all floors. My small room was at the back of the hotel overlooking houses etc. it was very quiet and you can sleep with the window open without disturbance. I would happily stay here again should I return to the beautiful town of Orvieto.
Cons: Not a lot really. The bathroom is rather tiny but perfectly adequate. I would have liked a kettle in the room for making tea.
9.6 Excellent
Cons: The room could use better pillows.
7.9 Good
Pros: Very clean
Cons: Reception when we arrived could have been more pleasant, and the credit card machine looked very smart but was useless.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I was very happy with location, breakfast, and excellent staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location very near the Duomo. The hotel seems to have been recently renovated. My room was comfortable, everything worked, and the staff very pleasant. Even the breakfast was good. I would stay there again.
Cons: At breakfast, what they called orange juice was red and tasted a fruit bunch from a powder mix. Get the grapefruit juice instead.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location to Duomo and restaurants.
7.9 Good
Pros: Hotel is situated well and staff were helpful. We were situated in additional (Dependence) building. That was only a block away, but it was not clear during the booking. The room was a bit noisy as it was on the 1st floor by the street. Very standard but nothing special. Similarly breakfast was quite standard, perhaps weaker than average.
Cons: Difficulty of sleeping due to the noise. Air in the room (we had to keep window open). Breakfast.

7.1 Good
Pros: The room was very clean. The staff made an attempt at getting our room cooler as we were quite warm.
Cons: The bed was not as comfortable as I would have liked but that is just a personal preference. Our key broke off in the lock but was promptly replaced. The room was much to warm for our liking and unfortunately it was not really remedied. We were told to open our windows. The shower in the bathroom is very tiny but that is the case in many Italian hotels I found.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: The location is great, and the staff were extremely helpful, giving us telephone directions to find the hotel, helping us obtain parking while avoiding tickets, and accommodating our five-year-old daughter with no notice, since kayak doesn't allow you to easily clarify that ones party is comprised of two adults with a child. The room was clean and quiet, and the breakfast was very nice. Would definitely stay again.
Cons: The only quibble is the air conditioner was a little noisy.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful staff! Great restaurant!
Cons: You need a car as the location is a bit out of everything. No walking around.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic breakfast and good water pressure
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the hotel. The stag was very friendly and helpful, the rooms was very clean and the bed was comfortable. We could walk to the Duomo in 10 minutes and there were numerous bars and restaurants within easy walking distance.
Cons: The A/C gets shut off November 1st, so it was a bit stuffy in our room because the outside temps were still in the 60s. We had to have a fan going all night to be able to sleep at all. That was only a minor inconvenience though, overall we loved the place.

Pros: We LOVED the location of this pretty hotel. Walk out the door and you are in the heart of the city for exploring, shopping, eating, seeing churches, touring. It is tucked behind the busy street, however, so nights were quiet.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, nice people comfortable. Excellent. Very nice place. Tricky parking. Make sure you know where to drive. Once found a parking spot all was good.
7.5 Good
Cons: This hotel is a grand old structure nicely located in the heart of Orvieto, but our stay was not so grand. Upon arrival we stood at the reception desk a long time waiting with other guests for someone to show up to check us in. We arrived by bicycle, and asked for a place to store our bikes. Staff told us to chain them to a railing. Our room was small and plain, but the bed was comfortable. The hotel was occupied that evening mostly by a large tour group of Americans. The staff looked overworked, and not excited about engaging with us. The hotel has all the basic comforts, and the public rooms are very impressive, but we would try a different place next time.
