Pros: Breakfast was good , since it had a lot variety.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was delicious. Staff very helpful and when my husband's jacket was stained by the chair in the room, they took it and sent it to laundry for him.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous heritage hotel in beautifully maintained condition.A piece of Sri Lanka history.Staff were exceptional.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were not planning to stay at the grand hotel, we went only for the high tea but we felt in love with the atmosphere and changed our plans to stay there. It was an amazing stay! Hotel gives old English vibes with mesmerising view. The Thai restaurant was extremely yummy!
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: Wonderful classic hotel with all you expect of a hotel like this, although you do get a very touristy feeling, that it’s kind of fake/that they’re putting on a show. However they do it well so all good. Loved the restaurant and the “high tea show”.
Cons: First room we got had sigarette/smoking smell in the bathroom. We changed and got one where it was very difficult to flush the toilet. We didn’t bother changing again as we only stayed one night. Not what should be expected of a hotel in this level.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff, the food, the ambiance, the beautiful rooms, the carpets, flowers, the garden.. everything!
Cons: Nothing..
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was exceptional!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Grand was truly Grand we loved the room and exterior of the hotel they packed us a great breakfast for our early start
7.0 Good
Pros: The food and the staff and the good decorations.
Cons: The noise is quite a bit. I was able to hear all the neighbours and the sounds. I think the hotel needs better sound proofing. All else was very good.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very nice and we loved the quint essential Englishness of the property.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We opted for a half board arrangement and found the food at breakfast and dinner excellent. The room was very comfortable and well furnished to the period. We were given a room with twin period beds which was not our preference but they were so comfortable with an excellent mattress and linen that in the end we didn't mind at all. The bathroom was very good with an excellent shower and great water pressure. The staff were very discreet but were around when needed.
Cons: Better wine options. They did allow us to bring our own but options in local shops were limited.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Outstanding staff extremely helpful and pleasant. The food is fresh and equally outstanding. Garden is beautiful and location perfect.
Cons: The 'uncle' was amazingly helpful in making tea whenever we asked but tea and coffee making facilities in the room would be nice
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room did transfer as in colonial era, plus it was really big! The staff was very kind, they also prepared our beds and placed a warm bottle which amazingly kept us warm the whole night! We dined at the hotel and the food was excellent! Since we had to leave at 6am to go to Horton plains they prepared for us a lunch package.
Cons: The hotel and the room do have a slightly gloomier atmosphere but we didn't mind since it's part of its character. Our room didn't have light blocking curtains and I think that could be an issue if you want to sleep a little longer. The bathroom had a little bit of an odor.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Bernard went out of his way to help us. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The food for breakfast and dinner was a very high standard
Cons: There was nothing we didn’t like
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Food is tasty and the chef will accommodate your special requests
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very nice. While there the weather was cold and rainy but we got hot water bottles in the bed to make it cozy. Very nice touch and well appreciated.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place was so charming and cosy, with modern bathroom amenities. The hospitability, friendliness and attentiveness of the staff made it perfect! It was a cold spell and they gave us hot water bottles, ensured that there was always sufficient wood in the fireplace during meal times and so many other things! The best b&b we've stayed at!
Cons: Nothing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The garden was beautiful, and the extra touches like hot water bottles to keep your toes warm at night we’re lovely. Staff were friendly and informative. Location near Victoria Park was ideal.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The exceptional help and assistance provided by staff.
Cons: Nothing.
Heritance Tea Factory - Nuwara Eliya - Building
3
8.8 Excellent (1,578 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Where else in the world can you stay in a converted tea factory, pluck your own tea and take it home with you as a souvenir? At 2km above sea level, the views over our lush green organic plantations as the sun mingles with the mist are truly unforgettable. Enjoy them as you tuck into high tea on the terrace or a delicious tea-themed menu in the restaurant. Welcome to Heritance Tea Factory, where the kettle is always on.
6.0 Good
Pros: Location in tea plantation and concept great.
Cons: Rooms were subject to lots of noise as walls and ceilings are wood and thin. People above you walking in their rooms is very loud below. Mattress too thin and well worn. No ac as cool area but wood smoke and kitchen smells enter your room if you open a window. Water pressure in shower very poor with tiny shower head. Climbing into shower difficult for anyone not confident of their footing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very decent hotel Good tea picking experience Staff are very friendly Unique and u forgettable experience
Cons: Little bit far from center
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This hotel blew us away! What a slice of history. The setting is absolutely breathtaking. Whilst a fair distance from Nuwara Eliyah, we found so many things to do in and around the Tea Factory. We loved plucking tea and receiving our processed tea leaves at the end of our stay. We also enjoyed the nature walk with a local person who gave us a real insight into the nature, wildlife and ways of life in the villages around the Tea Factory. The plentiful food and drink was a highlight, particularly the dining experience in the train carriage, which we treated ourselves for our honeymoon.
Cons: Staff were unable to arrange transport other than the hotel's own transport which we found to be quite expensive compared to other local drivers.
3.3 Mediocre
Cons: Broken mattress Dirty duvet Have to go to your room at 10:30 can’t okay pool
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stunning place to stay at. Staff make the experience of staying here out of this world. So much detail goes into making your stay here fabulous. Absolutely gorgeous hotel with so much history.
Cons: Could not fault anything. Just wish we could have stayed longer.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: We are talking here of minor adjustments in an overall excellent experience. We arrrived late - 21:30 - and several of the dishes in the buffet had been simmering for hours, consequently were tough and overcooked. It would be better to close the buffet earlier than the current 10:00 pm and offer late guests a limited choice of fresher dishes. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

4.2 Okay
Pros: The view and few member of the staff
Cons: First night i got there I saw stains on the towels in the bathrooms. Then, realised that the water temperature & pressure of the shower fluctuated a lot, could not take a proper shower in 3 nights. Third, the food is very limited every day breakfast lunch dinner you eat the exact same thing, few options and way over priced as you don’t have any close restaurants to the hotel. Food stops at 10pm and there is no 24h food service. I rang several times to the reception and no one answered, they are clearly way under staffed. On top of all of this, the SPA was not operational for some reason. Would not recommend it as it is not a 5 star hotel, nowhere close to being one. First and last time for sure.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The place is really nice and the swimming pool was warm !
Cons: The service of the breakfast was really long ! They took 25 min to serve a cup of tea !
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely setting, great athmosphere, friendly staff, beautiful scenery, nice walks and activitieis
Cons: Food was quite basic but ok
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing place, very elegant. Super staff!
7.1 Good
Pros: Cosy, comfortable and clean Near the train station where you can catch the train to Ella.
Cons: The a la carte dinner was very expensive!! (most expensive dinner compared to all the hotels we stayed in Sri Lanka)!! Quite far away (20-30 mins) from Nuwara Eliya centre
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Bad please bad smile in the room small summing pool
8.8 Excellent
Pros: View
Cons: The pool
7.5 Good
Pros: They got a nice garden full of lovely roses.. Surrounded by tea estates, you get a picturesque view of Nanu Oya and winding A7 road, provided the weather isn't too rainy or too misty.. The hotel resembles an old English mansion, and the electric fireplace is simply delightful..
Cons: The food certainly has much room for improvement, since its quality is not worth the exorbitant price.. Front desk staff were trying to attend to guest needs, but there was a big disconnect between them and the minor staff.. The pool obviously had not been cleaned, let alone heated.. Perhaps this complacency owed to the fact that no one ventured out in the rain.. Tap water was adequately hot in the evening, but completely lost its temperature by the morning.. Considering the fact that morning temperature in Nanu Oya is around 15 degrees, a consistent supply of hot water will be much appreciated.. I dunno what exactly was going on, but there seemed to be some privileged guests.. A certain couple seemed to get a special treatment at a cozy nook of the restaurant, where no other guests were allowed!!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location, staff, silence, mini golf, tennis
Cons: Selection of food
6.3 Good
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: The television was not supported usb. There was a delay in suppling food.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: It has been more than 10 days since we left Stafford Bangalow but I still miss everything there: considerate service, awesome building and decoration, yummy meals and high tea...it can offer you a very comfortable and relaxed stay without disturbing. Even though you have to take one hour driven from pink post office to the banglow, trust me this is indeed a worthy sacrifice.
Cons: Nothing. We will come back absolutely!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The beautiful setting of the bungalow, decllicious food, friendly and professional service of the staff.
Cons: In case you are someone looking to eat outside of the bungalow, you may not like it as it is far from town. But the food in the bungalow is good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Where to start...the bed was the comfiest I’ve slept in in a long, long time. The type you sink into with feather down pillows and duvet and crisp white cotton sheets. The staff and quality of the service was impeccable from start to finish, nothing was too much trouble and they went the extra mile at every turn for example meeting you in the garden as you returned home from a trip with cold towels and drinks. The food was marvellous- cooked to perfection and the menu varied to accommodate preferences and dietary requirements. The gardens are so lovingly tended and the house steeped in nostalgia. It took me back to my childhood. A truly magical place with service that the George V would struggle to provide.
Cons: A little further from Newara Eliya than other options but well worth the journey time. The countryside around Ragala is picture postcard perfect.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Service, location & ambience
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful stunning property with the loveliest staff who spoilt us
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very nice ambience, garden. The bungalow is beautiful. First class service. Our butler was the best. Enough facilities to keep kids occupied. We enjoyed the mini golf, games room, morning walk to the tea estate and going to the picnic spot. Wide selection of books and magazines. They planned a nice birthday celebration for my mum in the games room. You will be pampered throughout your stay. Highly recommend staying here.
Cons: Overall it’s awesome but a few things to note- Too far from Nuwara Eliya No pool or bathtub Food prices were not available till we asked for it. Food choices could have been better. If you didn’t like the menu for the day there isn’t another choice. As portion size was very big , a kids menu for kids would have been appreciated.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location is magnificent. The property and the garden is very well maintained. The staff are very friendly and meticulous to detail. The food is delicious. They prepare their own bread, jams and pastries on site.
Cons: The menu can offer some local dishes to choose from. The place abounds in fresh vegetables so a menu that also features local vegetarian cuisine will be ideal.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I liked everything about the place. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast was excellent. On the day we were checking out they even prepared a simple lunch for my 1yo. Will revisit for a longer stay.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable and hospitable staff
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good food, Hospitality and surrounding

9.2 Excellent
Pros: The bed was super comfy.. The hosts and the ambience could not be better. The place is unique and full of character and that is because of the amazing team there, Viji and Saman were super friendly and the food prepared by the chef was great. Be careful of the road when arriving late at night for the first time, google maps has not provided the right directions
Cons: Better attention to hot water.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A slice of absolute peace and tranquillity- paradise. The tea plantation , the birds chirping, the gurgling stream, the whispering trees - everything was perfect. Jetwing has outdone themselves with finding this piece of history and sharing it with us.The staff were gems who took fantastic care of us. Meena Amma- Saman and Mr Farid thank you ❤️❤️The beautiful Tamil people who run the farms and the tea estate are so humble and have a wonderful way of life that we yearn for.
Cons: The drive there is a bit too challenging and not for the faint hearted. Once at the property you quickly forget the harrowing drive
7.5 Good
Pros: The remote and quiet location The landscape The staff, the living areas
Cons: No WiFi Poor cleanliness Too poor decoration in the room for the price
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Stunning house and location. A real escape and hark back to the colonial era in SL. Feels like you’re a guest in someone’s home rather than a hotel. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Food was excellent (we stayed for Christmas dinner). A lot of produce is grown onsite which adds to the charm.
Cons: Perhaps a little pricey based on standard. Would have loved to have seen some traditional Sri Lankan food on the mostly western menu.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: This is old plantation superintendent villa in total the property has 5 rooms. It is definitely worth paying extra for the master bedroom. Note that this place is very secluded and far away from other places (Nuwara Eliya or Horton Plain).
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This is the most amazing place ever! The feeling was to be the owner of an amazing british cottage in the middle of tea plantation . Staff was uncredie and the chef excellent. Everything is elegant and cozy
Cons: Nothing! Just perfect
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place itself is so unique with a very historic touch of a Scottish planters bungalow, located amidst the tea plantation with endless view of the the mountains. The way the place is set up, everything is next to perfection. Every thing in the house has a story to tell. We love our stay and it was a memorable one.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stunning location and run very well by extremely capable and caring staff.

5.0 Okay
Pros: Welcoming staff
Cons: In booking.com it says the hotel is only 1.4 km away from Gregory lake. In reality it is more than 10 km away. Also, the service charges are around 20% of the rate you get in booking.com This is crazy and too much

5.4 Okay
Pros: Only the Dinner Buffet and Breakfast Buffet. very near to the town. Staff is supportive except valet parking and security
Cons: their valet parking staff is really poor. They kept my car engine on for almost 4 hours. luckily i went to take my forgotten bag if not it is on for another 10 hours. And they parked and damaged my front buffer of the car. Valet parking staff is worst. After damaging my vehicle they didn't come up with a proper compensation. Free word sorry was the only compensation.

Cons: Booking com cheated us. I paid for for triple. I was given a single room. Dickoya by Jetwing - Nuwara Eliya - Building
9
9.1 Excellent (30 reviews)
Overview Reviews
When you stay at Dickoya by Jetwing in Ambagamuwa, you'll be in the mountains and 13 minutes by car from Devon Falls. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
7.9 Good
Pros: We had a suite which was beautifully decorated. Lovely walks around the property in the tea plantations. There were bikes which you could borrow too. The manager was welcoming and helped greatly on the last day. Afternoon tea is available on the lawn outside.
Cons: Please note that this was under different management when we stayed here at the beginning of September and has now been taken over by Jetwing. The room we stayed in needed some maintenance (damp/mould on the ceiling). However whilst there we were woken up in the morning by noisy workmen who seemed to be decorating the other rooms. The food was ok - however for the price per night - very small portions.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The place was a wonderful surprise. It's a plantation mansion turned into a guesthouse/bed and breakfast. II would say it's about 4 to 5 guest rooms in total, so a very intimate atmosphere is created. It's deep in Tea plantation hills, but just out of the reach of the busy bustling town near by. It was quiet and serene, with beautiful views all around. The room was specious and comfortable. The dinning was in the mansion's dinning room, which was excellent, all guests could sit at the same table and enjoy the dinning atmosphere. The food was great also. Staff were extremely friendly and tried to wait on us hand and foot catering to all our needs that included meals at the times we desired. and even preparing a midnight snack ( at an additional charge ) for our early morning trek to Adam's peak ( about an hours drive away ).
Cons: The in room TV and Receiver didn't seem to be working, but in all honesty you go to a place like this to get away from everything, not to watch TV. The establishment did have accommodation for our driver, but at an extra cost. Mind you the extra cost wasn't much but usually most establishments in Sri Lanka offer free roam and board for accompanying drivers. But it wasn't a big deal.
6.7 Good
Pros: Mandira is quaint and charming and is close to Adam’s Peak. The bathroom was stunning, the staff was friendly, and the food was good in the shared dining room.
Cons: The estate is a bit warn and the rooms were quite damp feeling/smelling.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very friendly. It felt like we were staying with a family. We were made welcome and enjoyed the accommodation, the hospitality and not least the food. Amazing. I would recommend this venue to anyone.
4.2 Okay
Cons: Bathroom shower broke down many times . Food was very limited choice . I booked for 5 nights did not get the service of 5 star property
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is like stepping back in time to the old tea plantation days. The location is stunning overlooking tea fields and gardens, location close to all in Hatton and Dickoya. Food (ask for the Sri Lankan meals, they are delicious) and service was wonderful. Rooms were large and included comfortable bed and sitting area and generous bathroom, the hotel had lounge room, study and outdoor area to enjoy. Loved staying here.
Cons: No complaints! If you need an alcoholic drink post sight seeing, it is BYO, but we did not feel, the need, just relaxed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Charming colonial style house with very, very friendly manager and staff

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location, Staff, Amenities, Location
Cons: There was some humidity in the ground floor room.

Pros: breakfast was great though the spread was limited, location was good too. It's not very close to lake Gregory as one would be given to understand.
Cons: If you're over 5ft 9inch height, confirm you are not in a room with a sloping roof. the room on the first floor has a sloping roof and can limit your freedom of movement.
9.2 Excellent

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Personal we’re very sociable. Breakfast was good, so if you going to a Horton plains, they could pack your breakfast in early morning. A little bit cold in villa in the evenings (we were in the beginning of September) Location is not far from lake Gregory (7-10 min) and it’s all in tea fields. We’re enjoyed this homesay Owners gifted us a great tea in the end. We recommend this place for one/two nights-staying!

Pros: Staff were excellent and very helpful. I liked the old charm of the building and its a great location.
Cons: They mixed up the lunch and dinner menus, which serve the same food, but are priced differently. I suggest they colour the menus to make it easy to tell the difference. Also prices did not include taxes unlike other places in Sri Lanka.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The old English type property with absolutely stunning. The whole atmosphere and ambiance gives you an idea what it would have been like in the “days of the Raj”
Cons: The rooms were a little small. However, the facilities inside were adequate
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The Hotel and its Garden are pieces of Art and can be even classified as museums.... You feel like a British Lord from the Old Days. The personnel is so professional and helpful and attentive to every need even when not asked to...
Cons: The Hotel wasn't necessarily Wheelchair accessible but the personnel were there to help at every turn... Also, on the Booking, The booking option with Dinner beforehand was more expensive than the option without Dinner + Taking the Dinner Afterwards, which was ridiculous
6.3 Good
Pros: The gardens were absolutely beautiful, the location was a walk away from the town and the staff were amazingly friendly and gave a warm water bottle every night. Old country charm.
Cons: The rooms were a bit dated and could do with a proper cleaning, smelled a bit stuffy and musky. Breakfast was very limited and small portions. No fridge in the room and rooms a bit small
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hot water bottle in each bed. The beautiful garden. The delicious dinner.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The era of the building and the grounds are lovely. Our room was comfortable and well maintained. Little comforts like a hot water bottle and bed turn down service at night was greatly appreciated.
Cons: We felt uncomfortable and unwelcome in the fine dining area which tainted our stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic the garden was beautiful The best thing was they put hot water Bottle in the bed iat night

Pros: Friendly hosts in an old building with a lot of charm. They cooked lunch in the late afternoon for us, really nice that they are so flexible!
Cons: Since it is an old hotel the isolation is not quite that good but part of the charm, also hot water pressure was not quite up to standards.

Pros: Beautiful location and clean vintage place

Pros: An absolute delight! From the beginning till the end, they made our stay hospitable. Clean rooms and helpful staff. Great location on the upper lake, silence and such calm. Tuk-tuk’s were easily available and charge about 300 LKR to the town. Would love to stay with them again.

Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel with very helpful staff. Very comfortable room and good bathroom. Situated outside the town so very quiet.
Cons: The weather in Nuwara Eliya when we were there was very cold and damp so the rooms and dining room were very cold. Some heating would have been nice. Fridge needed a bit of a clean (and should have been switched on) but the room itself was spotless.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a standard continental breakfast. I really like the omelette that was served. They could have served better tea and fruits.
Cons: They did not have a buffet which is often preferred by guests where in they can take as much they like.

7.9 Good
Pros: The service.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The service was superb. One of us in the group has a stomach upset and had to stay in for the day and the staff looked
Cons: The mosquitoes. My family have been bitten multiple times there - although I do note that it is not an isolated problem specific to Strathdon.
7.1 Good
Pros: Beautifully located in the tea plantations overlooking the valley. The gardener took us on a walk through the tea plantations, which was great. Breakfast on the veranda with the view.
Cons: Windowless rooms, some smell a little moist. I booked the stay including dinner on booking.com. When I checked out, the host insisted that dinner was not included even when I showed him the confirmation. I had to insist several times until he realized he had made a mistake. Overall, good place to stay but certainly did not feel like a 5 star hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place is amazing. Especially the food. Great place to spend your vacation.
7.5 Good
Pros: Most attentive staff ever, such a relaxing place to stay and amazing food, can’t praise the staff and chef highly enough
Cons: The bathroom was not great, access to the bath tricky
5.8 Okay
Pros: They informed us that a double room was available at their sister property Dick Oya which was 20 mins away. Dick Oya by Jetwing was beautiful but the intial mess up with the booking had already spoiled our mood. But we did try to make the best of it.
Cons: We had booked a deluxe double room at Strathdon and when we got there our room was unavailable. Upon arrival we were informed that the couple in the double room extended their stay, therefore the room was unavailable. It was super inconvenient and really dissapointing cause I made the booking months in advance and after driving all the way to Hatton who wants to hear that the room they booked was actually unavailable and that they had arranged a twin room instead. My husband and I had so many special plans planned but ended up not following through any of them cause the start of the trip was so dissapointing. We would have appreciated atleast a phone call in advance informing us about the room. The best part is I called Jetwing that same day morning saying we were running late. Atleast have the decency to inform me at that point that the room was unavailable. Thoroughly dissapointed! Also the food is not value for money! Breakfast was disappointing, quantities were too small for the price and the taste was average.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The Hotel is awesome: beautiful view, nice rooms, dining, living room. Its very unique personalized service. Staff is very professional and caring. Perfect place for a couple or a family. I was impressed, didn't want to leave, by far one of the best hotels I stayed so far. I strongly recommend it, you will feel peace and harmony and enjoy every minute there.

Pros: The view is amazing. We loved it. And the location is cool.
Cons: Bath tub was not working. Room key wasn’t working properly . Food was not as excepted.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Nice view.
Cons: First impression of the location and view was good. But the staff members were hopeless. On the first day of our stay two gents from their restaurant knocked on our door. My fiance went to check the menu. He didn't let the staff people in because I was in pijamas. But anyway these two people peeped in and came inside and stayed scanning around until we were done with the menu card. We didn't make any complaints and ignored. Chain lock of the door was just a display lock and wasn't working. Next day when we were in bed suddenly a supervisor opened the door and came in without even knocking on the door with their master key to our room and looked at us and left saying sry. That was so embarrassing and we were shocked at what happened. And my fiance had noticed the same man near our room the previous day sneaking out. Later we learned that he was a mr Sampath who worked there and he had no reason to come in at that time while we were in. When we were trying to complain telephone wasn't working and finally when we did it was clear for us that these kinda things were normal for them. Except one decent staff member others seemed to be well aware of what happened. I never recommend this place for anybody and specially a no no for solo travelers. There is no privacy at all. And also the room gets flooded when you open the shower. Poor hygiene and no safety.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff. Amazing view to the room. Very spacious rooms. Nice foods
6.3 Good
Pros: Great view and very calm environment.
Cons: The food for the dinner which were provided by the restaurant was not fresh and very bad quality. Lunch buffet was fare but not much varieties as per the rate.

Cons: Should improve on indian menu's
7.9 Good
Pros: I liked the quirkiness of the property. Nice spacious rooms with a cool bathroom. The heater in the room was perfect for cold rainy days. Huge width to the bed which was comfortable albeit a little short in length. Loved the warm cakes at breakfast.
Cons: It was quite cold when we stayed and although the bed was comfortable, the blankets were a little short/itchy. The room was a bit dusty and there were a few insects but understandable given the location.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Style of the hotel.
Cons: Room cleaning.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: What a fantastic location! We had a great spacious room.Breakfast was very good.
4.6 Okay
Pros: I am really thankful for cooking my baby's meal, after preparing it by ourselves.
Cons: There are a lot of bad experiences, which we had there. we booked 4 rooms there. 1st day 1. window in the bath room of room 107 couldn't be locked. when we informed, the manager told us that there are CCTV cameras out side. ????? we were surprised about their attitude. 2. some of the facilities mentioned in the booking .com were not available. eg. free toiletries. (food was ok) 2nd day was the worst day! 3. Bottled water was served in the first day only (in booking.com, it was mentioned as free bottled water). Though, we asked for several times, since we couldn't go to the town at that night, they didn't served. 4. for the breakfast in the 2nd day, we ordered 7 string-hoppers potions, 1 rice and curry portion, and fruit plates (that was done in the 1st day night. In the first day also we had the same for the breakfast and it was ok. However, when it comes to the 2nd day, it was terrible.) in the 2nd day, first served the string-hoppers, but those were in reduced amount. then, we wait about half an hour and inquired about the rice and curry potion. we had a rice plate, but no curries. we inquired about the curries. they told us, we have to order that before. (rice and curry portion with no curries??????). the manager told us there is a chicken curry which was prepared for the hotel workers, they can serve that, if we like. I was really shocked, because, I ordered the rice and curry potion for my mother. Finally, we inquired about fruit plates. later they served plates after many of us left the table. We are paying for the stay and the food and not asking for free of charge (Overpaid, really not worth). As Sri Lankans we all know hospitality well. Don't dishonor that quality of our nation. Hope you can manage the things better in the future. I wish you all the best!
4.6 Okay

Pros: Clean but dated hotel. Quite far from town so you’ll need a tuk tuk, especially after dark. The electricity (& therefore hot water) cut off for a few hours, but staff kept us updated. Very friendly people.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Loved waking up to see the colourful tea pickers working on the hills in the morning. Very welcoming and helpful staff.
7.5 Good
Pros: good location, good wifi in room, clean toilet
Cons: sealed rooms, u cannot open any win door, including the toilet
7.1 Good
Pros: A cosy place which is maintained clean. Located on the main road with a decent view of the hills. All the facilities were available as promised.
Cons: 1. We had a chauffer who travelled along with us. He was offered a stay at the hotel. While he was waiting at the reception for us to come down, he was told to either wait at his room or car & not sit at the reception. I felt he should have been allowed to sit there (like any other guest at the reception) 2. We checked-in a bit late (around 7 pm). Without attempting to call me or check with me, the authority tried to use my debit card details to bill me (which booking.com had asked as a part of the reservation process). While it is fair to do this if I didn't turn up, he should have checked with me (atleast tried calling me) before trying this.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly and went out of there way to look after us. We had a magnificent view from our large room. The food in the restaurant was excellent . We had dinner on two nights and had excellent rice and curry, with many of the dishes changing from night to night. The breakfasts were also delicious. Both the owner and the manager were very friendly and were always looking after us. A great place to stay and highly recommended!

Pros: The service was exceptional. The manager was so helpful in arranging drivers and advice on things to do in the area. The hotel is in a pretty location with views of tea plantations. It’s an easy tuk tuk ride to any location.

Cons: There is no wifi at the room.
