The view of tea gardens was amazing,
No proper system to charge phone, use kettle etc
The location was amazing (albeit a walk from the centre - but that wasn’t an issue for us), and the room was stunning. We both had an amazing night sleep. We were also given a free tour of the neighbouring tea fields (and unlimited tea)
The staff were really welcoming and helpful with arranging the Hortons Plains hike.
The property isn’t very sound proof and you can hear other guests.
The staff were very responsive and welcoming. Free tea and biscuits whenever we wanted. Cosy rooms and bathrooms. Nice location with tea fields on one side. Good breakfast (we asked for curry the second day which was made it great).
No bathmat / handtowels / soap was provided, which we would expect for the price. Whilst they advertised board games and a pool table, there wasn't much available and the pool table was too slanted to play properly. The bicycles (provided for free) were not in good condition and difficult to ride, meaning the hour walk into the centre of Nuwara Eliya felt quite far away!
Everything! Lovely staff, charming old house, Beautiful views from the bathtub, extremely comfy beds (best in sri lanka), free tour of the tea fields.
A bit far from town (but you can order delivery) and sound carries so you can hear all the other guests every movement (but nothing terrible).
