Large rooms, view is great, breakfast had a large variety.
No local transit, difficult to get to. Rooms are dated with original collection of dust over the years. Mold and mildew aplenty with the aroma of lingering cigarette smoke.
Good value for the buffet food.
The woman's bathroom wasn't clean. Need the washllet toilet for each room. Non smoking room was smell smoking very bad.
The view from our room was beautiful!
The room we were in reeked of smoke and mildew/mold. We had to sleep with the windows open to keep the smell at bay. Also, the buffet dinners and breakfasts were less than desirable. The food gets put out once and then it sits there for the next 2 hours or until it is all gone.
The staff is really kind. They picked me up when I was lost on the way to the hotel from the station. They also help me go to the station earlier in the morning than the schedule should be. The private onsen room is really nice, so I can relax so much. The food also quite okay for buffet style and I like they have ice cream and cup noodle vending machine. The reading lounge also so nice
The station so far from the hotel if you tried to walk (around 20 minutes to the nearest station) and the train also not really much, so need to be careful with the time planning. Also no konbini around, but there's still some normal shop.
The food was delicious! The bedroom area was perfect (I would have never guessed it was a smoking room because you couldn't smell any smoke.)! The onsens were also the best experience. I liked that there was an outside onsen as well as an indoor onsen.
Upon check in, they told me I had reserved two rooms (even though I hadn't). I think that because we were foreigners they were trying to upcharge us... Luckily I knew enough Japanese to fix that, though I think if a guest did not know Japanese they would have been easily taken advantage of. While we got that resolved, the guy who checked us in was still pretty condescending and rude. Again, I think it was because we were foreigners. Other than that though, the rest of the staff was great!
