Excellent hotel, especially for the price!!! Everything new, clean and pretty. All little details you could wish for: toiletries, slippers, tea, microwave, excellent WiFi, even pajamas... And wonderful, wonderful onsen! This hotel was such a good surprise :)
Only downside could be that the room was a bit small
Onsen was incredible, great location, great facilities.
The men’s onsen was very nice with steam room, indoor onsen, outdoor onsen, and cold bath. The room was larger with an additional sink outside of the bathroom.
No air conditioning in the room (may just be since it was winter).
The baths were very nice, except the women's bath was on the second floor and did not have a rotenburo. My husband told me that the men's bathroom on the 10th floor did have a rotenburo and was very nice. The room decor was wooden and looked comforting and cozy. There was a convenient electric socket in the bedhead. There was a fridge too, but it was down the hall under the sink. There were multi-lingual signs up all over the hotel. As a person who doesn't read a lot of Japanese, it was convenient and helpful. The staff I dealt with spoke English fairly well. In the room, there was a sink outside the bathroom which was quite convenient to use when someone was using the toilet or the bath.
The room was small. We reserved a double room but it was smaller than I expected. The heating was also on overdrive. It was a cold night, but the room was much too hot. Even turning the heater down didn't work, we had to turn it off or we wouldn't have been able to sleep. We had the free noodles that were offered in the evening. My husband is a ramen snob and didn't like them, I thought they were okay, but maybe a tad too cold. The breakfast was okay. My husband enjoyed the Japanese dishes, but I wasn't too impressed by the more western offerings. It did seem to be refilled often, so that was good. The hotel was quite expensive for the size of the room. It was quite far from convenience stores and the station. There were restaurants in the area, but not for a few blocks.
Free car park and nice onsen
