No staff there for support, the photo in booking.com And actual are differ.
The host was super nice and everything was clean!
You had to bring your own towels.
Coles to Falls
It’s proximity to the Niagara State park.
It looks gloomy but that’s fine. Best value for money.
Location is 15 minute walk to the falls through a park.
Being a hostel is a bit different than a motel or BnB. There were no hair dryers nor soaps in our private room. What we got was a newly renovated huge space in a charming 1870s apartment house. The place is under renovation now and is in an area that is up and coming. It is right across from the aquarium and a quick stroll to restaurants and pubs. We wish them well in giving this great old place a new chapter.
Gorge View is not your typical hostel. Our private rooms rival most hotel rooms in the area but added bonus you'll be able to cook your own meals but get the same expert tourist advise at check-in all our guests do. Standing on our front steps in Niagara Falls, NY, you are looking directly across the Niagara Gorge at the hip modern Vegas style sky line of Niagara Falls, Ontario (walk there if you wish). You're listening to the roar of the most powerful waterfall on earth less than 1KM away. You can head away from that immerse yourself in hiking trails above and below the Gorge cliff see a monstrous whirlpool or sit still on the steps at dusk and catch a glimpse of the many interesting animals inhabiting the Gorge like fox, raccoons, osprey, owls, and even deer. If you need more than rare natural wonders, culture and history, there are 3 casinos within walking distance, 1 in America and 2 in Canada. It’s 20 minutes walking from the front door to Canada’s premier fun city, with all the distractions one might need after a day of hiking and exploring. Whether you are visiting for a day or a week, check-in at Gorge View and let us maximize your experience in Niagara Falls. Niagara Falls is more than waterfalls and Gorge View is at the Center of it all. Sitting at the doorstep of the Niagara Falls state park and the start of the Niagara Gorge trails, Gorge View has been the perfect spot for those who want to immerse themselves in some of Earth’s most majestic terrains. While the building didn’t become an accommodation till 2011 it has commanded a prominent place in the City’s History since 1879. Now Gorge View specializes in informing arriving guests on more than the basics the 8 million falls visitors do each year ensuring you get the most out of your trip to the area. Experience the Niagara Gorge as a pioneer and see what millions are missing annually. Walk minutes from our front door and immerse yourself in the Niagara Gorge taking in amazing vistas. Get your first glimpse of the falls in minutes, travel south and stand at the brink of the falls in 15 minutes or travel north and be 100 feet below the Cliff’s edge and witness the deceivingly calm Gorge transitioning into tumultuous Class VI rapids where the Gorge narrows and turns creating a whirlpool that too few witness. During the tourist season one can also use the free Discover Niagara Shuttle that picks up across the street at the Aquarium. Take a 14 mile journey along the Niagara River from the Falls to Lake Ontario and experience more parks, trails, museums and one of the oldest European Made structures in the Americas, Fort Niagara at the mouth of the Niagara River. Step back into colonial history at Fort Niagara or Step into the modern age of electricity at the free Power Vista Museum with interactive exhibits and a 4 day ride commanding views of the only place in the world that two Hydro Electric Plants come face to face across an international border harnessing and distributing renewable energy across a large portion of North America. Visit the Underground Railroad Museum or the Castellani Museum at Niagara University for unique interpretations of both art and history.
