Staff were friendly, breakfast buffet was good with lots of choice, our room was comfortable and clean and the pool, hot tub, steam and sauna were very modern.
Unfortunately the pool and sauna etc. was closed on the second day of our stay without any warning. Our room wasn't like the pictures and there were a few areas that were a bit tired but overall it was comfortable and clean.
Spa. Room with sea view
Staff was nice
I had been told there would be petals on bed on arrival which there wasn’t and room looks a lot smaller than in pictures
Excellent room with good soace, facilities and view. Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff
This is a lovely hotel perched on a headland at one end of Newquay. We were there in January when the hotel was pretty quiet and we really enjoyed the indoor pool (small but not too small to swim in!) and were very well looked after by staff, who were all cheerful and helpful. We had one of the 'superior' double rooms with balcony/sea view, and it was a nice room, really generous nicely done bathroom (rolltop bath as well as shower cubicle), and nice to be able to get some sea air and see the expanse of sea from the window/balcony!
Newquay itself is pretty run-down and we might go elsewhere in Cornwall next time - but the hotel made a great base for exploring this part of Cornwall, including Padstow and St Ives, and we found enough places to get a decent dinner in Newquay - it just wasn't somewhere we wanted to explore in itself. Good veggie/vegan cafe though (daytime only) - the Green Heart Cafe.
When you stay at The Atlantic Hotel in Newquay, you'll be near the beach, within a 15-minute drive of Fistral Beach and Porth Beach. Featured amenities include a business center, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. This hotel has 3 meeting rooms available for events. Free self parking is available onsite.
