Won't be back
Super noisy, tomb-like accommodation, tiny bed, 1 tiny pillow and thin blanket per bed, felt like a horror movie!
Location is ok
The rooms do not have a roof, just because the owners think they are smart by selling you "privacy" but really all they do is set wood boards between beds, so you book a room and get a 60 bed room, noisy, smelly and the bathrooms are the worst I have seen in NY, had to change hotels but lost all money because it was non refundable of course.
Double Booked me.
nothing. the person on the phone was super rude. it was late and obviously they could give to shits that it's raining and it's 11pm and you've double booked me.
im sure this place in nice but c'mon. you don't double book and make it seem like it's the customer's fault. and then don't help them book another hotel or motel or whatever. god knows if i even got my money back. don't really care. thanks guys.
Next time I'll get a groupon for $90
I'm no picky guy, but it's definitely an experience to sleep in a room that is 21 square feet ( 6' by 3.5' ). It's always a question of the 'bang for the buck', and I'd rather pay $90 on groupon for 100+ square feet with my own space rather than $50 for 21 square feet.
The Bowery House offers guests a unique budget hotel experience in the heart of the famed Bowery. The hotel was once a lodging for run-down visitors, and guests are able to enjoy a bit of the hotel's former history with its preserved wood-paneled cabins that are touched up with modern amenities and accommodations. The hotel offers guests convenient proximity to the nearby subway, as guests will only have to walk two blocks to reach the station. The hotel is also within walking distance from a variety of bars and a concert hall. This affordable hotel allows guests to enjoy plenty of entertainment around the Bowery without having to spend it all on their room.
Of course, the compact rooms in the hotel still offer plenty of cozy accommodations: from private, single rooms to bunk-bed dorm-style rooms that can sleep up to 12 people, all rooms in the hotel offer free access to wireless Internet and shared bathrooms. Meanwhile, the shared bathrooms each offer high-end fixtures and stylish marble flooring. Guests are also certain to appreciate the hotel's free parking policy.
A common room on the third floor of the hotel allows guests to enjoy a large, 65-inch HD TV and a snack shop to chow down on some tasty bites while enjoying a show, movie, or sporting event. A roof garden with beautiful landscaping is also featured at the hotel and offers guests amazing panoramic views of the city. Bike rentals are also available for guests looking to conveniently explore the surrounding areas.
