Inside and out, The Beekman Hotel is a sight to behold. Re-opening after extensive renovations in August of 2016 showcases classic Renaissance Revival architecture and rooms jam-packed with modern amenities.
Found within Manhattan’s New Downtown, the hotel reflects the charm of its revitalized surroundings and classic landmarks. All rooms and suites feature high ceilings, aged oak floors, and curated artwork. Essentially, every element oozes refinement and luxury. The most unique room in the hotel is the turret penthouse, with 40-foot ceilings and a massive private terrace in the crowning architectural feature of this stunning building.
Matching this luxury are the on-site dining options. Celebrity chefs Tom Colicchio and Keith McNally each operate restaurants within the Beekman Hotel. Colicchio’s offering, Temple Court, features an updated and seasonal take on classic dishes and a five-course tasting menu. Augustine, McNally’s first restaurant in the neighborhood, is a new French offering ready to wow guests. Two bars are also present, including the Alley Cat Amateur Theatre, where hotels guests can see a variety of acts on any given night.
The location of the Beekman is ideal to explore some of New York’s famous sites. The somber site of the National September 11th Memorial is under a half mile away from the lobby. The iconic Brooklyn Bridge is just under a mile from the hotel, offering a beautiful surrounding for guests. For nightlife, Greenwich Village’s famed Bleecker Street is about 35 minutes away by foot or a very short cab ride.
