A comfortable, clean, private hotel in a quiet downtown neighborhood. Staff were helpful and I was able to come and go without any problem. I had a wonderful city view. Easy access to Grughub and Seamless deliveries for takeout. I will deftly come back!
Nice clean compact room
I had originally booked fir Friday ti Tuesday but changed to Sunday and had confirmation of this by email. On arrival on the Sunday there was no booking. The receptionist sorted a room after 30 minutes waiting. I have asked on several occasions for a receipt for my bill as I was never told what was being charged to my account. Can someone please deal with this?
I asked to have a missing lampshade replaced and it wasn't as well as the door fixed since it didn't close properly. After locking it, if I jiggled the door handle, it would open a half an inch. Easy to insert something in that area to jam open. And I found the sound of the clacking pool table balls annoying as I attempted to have a quiet after-work drink at the bar. Warm weather would allow bar patrons to sit outside which I could imagine would be a solution.
The heat was not working and the hot water was not working and wash up in the sink.
I have stayed here before. The rooms are always clean (and cigarette smoke free), and the staff is very friendly.
One of the things that surprises many folks who visit New York City is how large the city is. Unlike many cities in America, traveling from one part of the city to another can take a long time, and that’s why staying in the right location is critical for a journey’s success. If you are looking to stay downtown, there are several options to consider, but a favorite among business and leisure travelers is the Aloft Manhattan Downtown Financial District.
The Aloft Manhattan Downtown Financial District is the perfect place to stay if you have business near Wall Street or other major financial institutions. Leisure travelers will love this location as well because it is located nearby much of New York City’s history, including ferry tours to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. A great feature for many folks is that the hotel is pet friendly, so you can feel free to bring your pooch on a great trip.
Some of the best dining in the world is in Manhattan. There is a gourmet pantry and a lounge in the hotel, but if you’re looking for great food, all you need to do is talk a walk outside. For folks who love a hip food scene, Brooklyn is just across the river, get there by subway or simply talk a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. Queens and the Bronx are also a short subway ride away and have some of the best local cuisine in the entire city.
Staying at Aloft Manhattan Downtown Financial District is a great way to enjoy your New York vacation.
