I’ve been coming to this hotel for 3 years since my daughter visited Tulane University and is a now a student there. I love the feel and look of this hotel when you pull in to the courtyard ivy walls make you feel like you are in an old european village. The valets are perfection every single tome. Concierge and check in is always always perfection. They always give you the room you paid for which doesn’t always happen. I took off a tiny part of a star only because it was parents weekend this weekend for Tulane and the wi-fi was non esau’s it’s the. Not slow not here and there, non existent even when upgraded to the fastest wi-fi. That was a bit of an annoyance but it would never and i repeat never not want to go here. I tried to get a reservation back in sept and there was nothing but after having to go to another hotel which had no windows. (no joke) we hail maryed over to windsor court and got the last room they had. Someone must have just cancelled. Long story short you will live the ness, the sheets, the food, the spa, the gym, the services and people and i can’t forget the most beautiful flower arrangement in the lobby that is just exquisite. It’s wonderful you won’t regret it.
The service was amazing. Every night, we returned to a room with chocolates or pralines, water and robes laid out for us. The view from both sides of the hotel was incredible and the location was great- only around 10 to 15 minute walk from Café du Monde.
They gave me a complimentary upgrade in room which was a beautiful suite. The Polo Lounge was beautiful and quiet and the waitress was so nice. The entire surroundings had a great feel good about it. I have already planned a return trip.
The first time my partner and I entered, we were treated like royalty. Staff helped us with all of the things we need help with. The room was amazing and the experience we had there was great. Even though we only stayed for one night, it was well worth it. Also, it was our anniversary so we came to a room with a plate of chocolate covered strawberries. It was a great surprise and definitely put the cherry on top for our trip... or should I say strawberry on top.
I did not like that we did not stay longer or were able to the enjoy the hotel as a whole. Other than that, no complaints.
The Reservationist ( Ms. Blair))who assisted me with getting the 3rd Party Auth. Form completed and placed on file was GREAT! I was so impressed with her professionalism and kindness, I felt compelled to show her my appreciation with a little gift from Austin from me. Awanda, the overnight agent who did not hang up on me, did her best to get me in contact with her MOD. She knew the ball was dropped and her co-worker was totally out of line. I'm still in disbelief the other agent Brittany B actually hung the phone up in my face as I was speaking. MOD was asleep on property , but did wake up to speak with me. Made a lot of promises but no follow up the next day. I did believe he would try and salvage the rest of my nephews stay, to no avail.
Having a desk agent hang up as i was speaking to her about giving out a room number without verification. Hotel 101 basics. Also, after being assured my guest would not be asked to provide a MOP upon checking in, my guest was asked for a credit card that was authorized for 200.00. After I send over a 3rd Party Authorization Form that stated ALL CHARGES TO CARD ON FILE. Management did a poor job with the follow up. No one called me . I had to call the Hotel and ask Management to place a letter of apology in my guest's room explaining he should not have been asked to provide a credit card upon arrival. I was so embarrased, the stay which was not cheap, was my gift to my nephew and his new bride. I was offered NOTHING but a bunch of "we are so sorry". I recieved my invoice yesterday, no discount, they did not even attempt to offer breakfast knowing I wanted to provide in room service( breakfast). The Windsor Court is not the same!!! Rooms are still expensive but quality of service is so lacking. I will be looking into another 5 star hotel. This was an embarrassing moment for me , I will not allow the Windsor Court the opportunity to embarrass me again.
