Bed was comfortable, location was great! Lobby has beautiful views as well.
Hotel seems to be in final stages of a renovation, or maybe even the mall it is attached to. There was some construction noise (didn’t bother me, but was worried it would) and could hear all doors in the hallway open and close. Also, the coffee shop in the mall was closed!
Post cruise stay
I will say that my first impression of the hotel was very positive. We arrived at 9:00 am, hoping for a place to leave our luggage until we could check in. You can only imagine how pleasantly surprised we were when told that our room was already available. We went to our room and were very happy to have a great view from our room. The Mississippi is truly a major waterway. The hotel is on a very quiet side street and connects directly onto Canal Street, and is edging the French Quarter. We made use of the trolleys on Canal to connect to the French Market and the Garden District. There are many great restaurants and night spots within an easy walk, and great shopping very nearby. There is a very large Casino across the street. Unfortunately we were only there two nights but will definitely go back.

Comfortable but unexpected charges
Beautiful hotel very comfortable
I have two $50 charges on my credit card upon arrival that were poorly explained and I was told they would be refunded by now but they have not been. It feels like the hotel is charging me the difference between the hotels.com price I paid and the walk in price.
I have always stayed here but this time the services was so bad !! They couldn't find my reservation and the stuff was rude

Convenience meets luxury
I really like the proximity to shopping, restaurants, and the aquarium.

While not in the heart of the French Quarter, a wo
The Westin is located on the riverfront, about a four or five block walk from the heart of the French Quarter. We loved the extra walk back and forth to meet friends given all the food indulges in NOLA. Staff was fabulous.
Worse staff at any hotel I have ever stayed. I have stayed at hotels around the world & staff at this hotel in New Orleans is by far worse in the world. Desperate need for professional staff training!
the beds were very comfortable

our room have city view instead of magnificient river view that is a very big inconvenient as we were faced close buildings in front of us. the staff was not at all flexible to change our room even with my Gold card preffered Guest.
