Sandy Haven like heaven in Negril
Relatively new property. Modern amenities. Large room. Big balcony. Renovated. Great beach bar Restaurant was great! Personalized welcome. Great location on 7 mile.
Room could use more cleaning (floorboards and walls in our room needed a bit of love). Still not nearly as bad as other properties we've stayed in Negril. However, as a "luxury boutique" a few cleanliness matters should be addressed (at least for room 232.) "Oceanview" was just a partial view of the ocean. This could be better explained in the description. I booked "superior oceanview" not "superior *partial* oceanview."
the location was great! Right on the beach in the heart of Negril's 7-mile beach. There is a place to rent bikes/scooters right across the street and there are tons of restaurants within walking distance.
unfortunately, the staff was really bad. Very poor customer service, not friendly, and at times down-right rude. It really detracted from our stay and we would not return to this resort as a result. We would try one of the dozens of other hotels nearby, which are comparable in cost.
ok hotel but untrained staff and below par cuisine
good location, rooms
continental bfast (included on daily price) was 4 cold toasts two pieces of butter and jelly and thats all! reception staff extremely slow and not helpful with tourist info, room was not available upon check in, when asked how could i join a sailboat cruise the recepcionist simply stated "i dont know"..restaurant service was very poor and unfortunately the beer was never cold enough... thats it. not a good experience for the price ($300 a night!)
