Very close to all amenities.
The lock was difficult to unlock however that’s a trend in Greece
The room was very spacious and comfortable with a lovely balcony to sit on. It was cleaned every day to an excellent standard. The owner and staff provided a service above what we expected and did their best to accomodate all our needs!
Nothing to fault.
Location, patio, fridge in room
Their website states all rooms have a kettle and air conditioning. Our room type booking didn’t list these items but sometimes places don’t have every item listed in room type, when the website states all rooms have air con I would think they do. I asked about air con and he kept saying you booked the cheap room and not letting me say anything else.I tried to show him the website but he didn’t want to know. Very frustrating. The fan was so slow you could watch each arm spin- felt zero breeze. People who we shared the patio with had music and loud until around 1am, we couldn’t contact reception as there was no one around. If the fan was better, their website said most/some rooms have air con and the owner could listen the stay would have been great.
They have free pick up from the wharf and owner was holding a clear sign of the hotel name. The room was spacious enough, especially for a solo traveller, and there was a small bar fridge. Location was pretty good as it's only a few minutes walk from a great SPAR supermarket and St Georges Beach. Walking into town is an easy 15-20 min stroll. There is mesh on the windows to stop mosquitoes from getting in. A cheap option of the "basement" room if you're travelling by yourself, but just be warned that it's incredibly basic and not to expect anything - even the owner was telling me to lower the standard when he showed me the room.. Was really quite odd.
Despite not being in the centre of town, the hotel is situated at the corner of a small but frequented road, so it can get a bit noisy with some vehicles going past at night. The small ensuite bathroom didn't smell very clean when I checked in, and I was still in the room the first morning when the cleaner came in to clean - didn't seem to recall seeing any disinfectant or bleach or anything for cleaning the bathroom, and she also proceeded to fold the bed sheet straight after cleaning the toilet, which I found really disgusting. Upon checking in and the owner showing me to my room, he took away the second set of towels as I was the only occupant. Being a solo occupant didn't mean a cheaper tariff, and the towels were tiny for bath towels size as they're only hand towels, so I had the same two hand towels to use for my four-night stay. One night after I got back around midnight, there was no hot water for shower. There's only a ceiling fan in the room so it can get quite hot in summer. Owner doesn't have any filter - I was picked up from the wharf and when he picked up my suitcase to put into the back of the van, he complained that it's too heavy and I packed too much (it was a 20kg suitcase, and maybe he was joking in his Greek way but I found it a bit rude, considering he didn't know my situation - I was moving countries from the northern to southern hemisphere after travelling so had both summer and winter items). The day before I was leaving, I wanted to book the free shuttle to the wharf again but the "reception" area always looks closed and it doesn't seem like anyone's in there, so I rang the door bell. Owner later comes out after ages and I explained what I needed for tomorrow... And he looked at me quizzically and asked who I was! Ridiculous, because, c'mon, how many solo Asian females had he encountered in the past three days?!
Big balcony but very close to busy road junction good location close to beach and bus stop, also just up road to tavernas and shops
Towels too small, no bin liner in bathroom bin, towels not changed for three days. paid for breakfast but as we were the only guests having breakfast Owner was not keen on providing it, if you needed to speak to owner there was a phone by door you had to ring never got through tried three times.
