Cons: I have nothing negative to say
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous location in the countryside
Cons: Nothing st all
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Lovely room, with plenty of space and we'll appointed bathroom.
Cons: Getting to the hotel parking is a bit of a bind, Involving pedestrianised areas and automatic bollards. Read the hotel email for advice and codes. And then access via bollards in side road not main square as the intercom there is not working.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, staff, comfort
Cons: Limited parking
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really beautiful. The room was gracious and very nice.
Cons: I liked everything
8.8 Excellent
Cons: at breakfast a bit of vegetables, no tomatoes and no cucumbers!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location. Personnel was super friendly! Many compliments to the bar lady Alexandra! She gave us fantastic tips and hints on how to organise our trip and what to do. Big thank you!
Cons: We booked two rooms, one double and one single use. Durng the stay we found that the room for single use was much more spaceous than the one for double use which was really very tight. For example no way to be in the bathroom with 2 for example and little room aside of the bed. It was disappointing that bathroom products were not replaced / filled: tissues were not refilled when empty and one small bittle of bodylotion for 2 for 3 nights is also somewhat limited... was not replaced.
9.6 Excellent
Cons: It was Sept.... but AC didn't make the room cool enough to enjoy the quilt ...
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was very clean and our room had everything we needed. Staff were friendly and helpful and it was a great location.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location! Staff! Beautiful room!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The bed was very comfortable
Cons: Little bit dissapointed. We were upgraded to an experience room for an extra 20 euros but it was really tiny. We were provided with one small bottle of water, a fancy coffe mahine but only two coffee pods and one pod of milk. No Wifi code avilisble either. Very pleased we didnt pay the full price for this room but still feel a bit cheated.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is a church converted to hotel- the architecture is fascinating for that reason- rooms have arches and stained glass. The location is GREAT- right in front of the botanical garden which is fabulous. Had an excellent dinner within walking distance of the hotel- staff was very nice and helpful-there is AC.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A charming hotel in a wonderful location next to the botanical gardens and within a short walk of the train station and major sights. The staff were great; the room was clean and had with air conditioning that worked!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great and unique interior design inside a church, great hospitality and everyone speaks fluent English . We came very late and had a wonderful reception and late night room service. Highly recommended for a romantic gathering
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, clean, lots of amenities.
Cons: The standard rooms are a bit plain (if you don’t see anything of the chapel, the decor is a bit bland). Extras (parking, breakfast, spa) are on the pricey side, making the overall value for money not great.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nicely decorated place in a historical building. Bathroom is small
Cons: Price too high for what you get. very helpful staff

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location plus comfortable
Cons: Windows had no barriers
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We could cook our own tea for the four small children with us and the ponds around the back with the fish are a great place to relax at
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Our suite was nice and spacious, everything new and clean. Nice toilettries :) Stuff very friendly and helpful. Large comfy bed. Supermarkets (and a shopping center) very nearby.
Cons: Location not ideal if you want to visit the city. We had a mishap with breakfast time - on the website it said it was untill 10.30, we arrived at just after 10 and it was over. The lady still allowed us to have food but was a bit rushed. Also felt it was a little overpriced.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Easy to drive to and park. Staff were exceptional, out of 3 weeks in various places they stood out as the most friendly and helpful. Great apartment, straight forward walk into old centre, or bus stop outside.
Cons: Nothing to dislike
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, great hotel!
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: A very comfortable, classic hotel with excellent professional staff, comfortable room, good breakfast and a perfect location. Our bikes were taken care of for us.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location in a quiet side road in the lovely historic city of Nantes. Receptionist helpful in showing us on the map how we could the best out of our 2 day visit to the city and pointing out the useful green line painted on the pavements to help tourists get around which was wonderful! A visit to Les Machines de l'Ile is essential - we want to go back there another time! Large room comfortable and modern in this historic building and there is a good breakfast, including fruit salad freshly made each day. Friendly, welcoming owners.
Cons: Nothing. We'd stay there again.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Very small room.. Stayed with my mother and got room with bed that is too small for that. Photo’s on booking do not represent that room at all. Since i see all positive comments maybe the rooms differ. Can not imagine anyone positive about this room. We booked for two nights but left. First time i ever give a comment but also have to say i didnt like staff. They dont mind at all that you have to leave since room is not ok and took a lot of hazzle to get money back for breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Central yet quiet location, close to restaurants, bars and a big parking. Easy to access, the room was small but clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful, gave us indications and suggestions. We did not have breakfast but many guests did, and it looked very good.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast buffet with a wide range of fresh food on offer. A very friendly welcome from the owner and the staff. Hotels in the centre of large cities can sometimes be a little anonymous not so with this hotel. Very attentive staff and clean, comfortable accommodation recently refurbished in style.
Cons: There is no parking available at the hotel which necessitates a 150m bag-drag from the nearest public parking.
Maisons du Monde Hôtel & Suites - Nantes - Building
6
8.8 Excellent (1,113 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Maisons du Monde Hôtel & Suites in Nantes (Nantes Centre), you'll be steps from Passage Pommeraye and 12 minutes by foot from Chateau of the Dukes of Brittany. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk and an elevator.
6.0 Good
Pros: Staff were all super friendly and really helpful. The bed (once you moved all 6 cushions) very comfortable
Cons: The room is very small which was expected. Unfortunately Masions du Monde are obviously trying to sell you every single product they own so the room is stuffed full of unnecessary items such as chairs, lights, mirrors, cushions and parrots it makes the room feel even smaller, the headboard was so padded I think it took up half the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a fabulous hotel that really does feel like home. Very comfy and stylish room and bathroom. Really tasty breakfast with a great choice. Excellent location, close to everything.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cute interiors, good location, great staff and good breakfast
7.9 Good
Pros: shower; decor; towels; bed; clean room; free bottle of water ; safe; airco, restaurants/bars/shops nearby; friendly personnel; TV; interior/finishing.
Cons: breakfast overpriced; some personnel lacking professionalism (too young and inexperienced); fragile objects in room (would make any guest nervous), hotel seems to save on sugar, cups and spoons (?!). During our stay an extreme noise disturbance in evening/night. Complaints to hotel but no direct resolution unfortunately (only afterwards). Hotel should hire a skilled/tough doorman (at least during events and in weekends) for security reasons.
7.5 Good
Pros: The location. The nicely renovated facility....
Cons: The young staff just does not understand what Service is... The place us small... Small room... Small bathroom Small dining room... But all nicely renovated....
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location lovely looking hotel and staff we’re very helpful.
Cons: Rooms are lovely but smaller than I had anticipated compared to others we’ve stayed in, in other parts of France, a little hard to move around as so much furniture in them.
6.0 Good
Pros: The hotel is in a good location, very clean and ecofriendly. I would like to describe as a different experience in the sense that the hotel did not have a reception desk and a very limited food menu. The staffs are pleasant enough and it makes a whole different, very helpful.
Cons: Confine common areas.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Comfy beds and very clean, fanciful rooms.
Cons: We were not told on checking in about the parking lot being unavailable for market - both of our cars were towed. There were signs in the elevator, but we used the stairs exclusively!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Must have been a busy week in Nantes, as when I checked prices were pretty high, so I went for one the grey/green rooms (14m2). Well, turned-out that this includes the bathroom space and with the many small side tables, there was literally no space left to put you cabin size suitcase. Otherwise the room was nicely decorated (for the small room almost too much). There was complimentary bottle of water and a espresso capsule machine, which is always highly appreciated. Check-in takes place in the lounge rather than at a front desk, and the receptionist was very welcoming and helpful in explaining how the Maisons du Monde concept works.
Cons: Nothing but the lack of space in somewhat overdecorated 14m2.

Pros: - very friendly staff - good breakfast - quiet room - nice location for visits - good WiFi
Cons: - No hairdryer - The look into the courtyard
7.5 Good
Pros: The room was well decorated and clean, breakfast was lovely with fresh fruit, and the gentleman on reception was very friendly and attentive.
Cons: The bathroom was very small, we were kept awake in the night by people out in the street and not the sort we wanted to ask to keep the noise down, a real shame as otherwise a nice hotel.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was plentiful, good value, nice variety and high quality. Manager was helpful and cordial.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Quiet place, excellent location. Staff extraordinary , friendly, professional. Breakfast really good.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: It's not an anonimous chainhotel but a cosy place, run decently by the very kind owner. It's coming home. That's how it feels.
Cons: maybe a fan or airco would come in hand but then again it doesn't stop us from coming back. It's payable and in the mid of the ambiance.
7.9 Good
Pros: Kind gospistality good breakfast and great location
Cons: Thereaee only stairs
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Everybody was extremely friendly, the room was clean and it was so quiet there at night and in the morning that I slept longer than ever in my life.
Cons: Nothing to mention here. Maybe I could wish they had AC. But for me it is not really important.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms, breakfest, location
Cons: Very nice hotel, great location for those who cone to the center with the shuttel frim the airport, just 7 minute easy walk from the shuttle drop location, very sylish hotel, BIG beds, and tidy room. Breakfest good and tasty!! We back to this hotel in our last night of our trip, and now i know it was a good choose to make
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Bed was amazing. Close to sights shops and very clean. Breakfast was good and they gave me gluten free on request.
7.9 Good
Pros: Excellent breakfast, great choice and really good value. The hotel is situated near the train station and navette bus for the airport so great transport links.
Cons: Room was warm, air conditioning was not that effective. I would prefer a kettle in the room to make a drink early morning.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location close to airport bus clean excellent breakfast
9.0 Excellent
Pros: We took family room for 4 people. It was really spacious with 2 aircond. The sofa was good enough for two adult to sleep there. There are a lot of bars and restaurants nearby and the castle is close enough. Breakfast is OK, especially for France: there were ham, salami, cheese, eggs, bacon, . The staff was helpful.
Cons: The location is so-so. It is just apart from train station. Still it was not as bad as I expected. Moreover, it seems that everywhere in Nantes neighborhood is something like that or worse.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel has a deal with the supermarket across the road for parking so it’s super convenient! The room was cute and clean.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location. Room was quiet. The owner was very welcoming and helpful. Walking distance from Jardin des Plantes. Very handsome and friendly resident cat!
Cons: Two spare pillows would be good.
5.8 Okay
Pros: I liked the location and the breakfast area looked very clean
Cons: I didn't like the breakfast, could serve a wider variety for breakfast.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Quirky boutique charm. Excellent location as city centre 20 min walk. Free and secure parking across the road in a inter-marche supermarket and manager explained that she had an agreement with the supermarket manager for guests to park there. Secure as locked from 8pm to 8am each day.
Cons: Curtain as a door for the ensuite so not for the sensitive.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The price and location. Excellent price for a stay within walking distance of the town centre.
Cons: Could have been updated a bit. The decor is slightly tired.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It’s a convenient walk or short drive to the old city and the place is absolutely squeaky clean. It even came with owner’s pure breed cat who was interested in staying in our room overnight. A supermarket is right across the street for extra convenience.
Cons: Nothing though the dark parking lot across the street was a bit scary initially but realistically fine.
7.9 Good
Pros: We didn't really experience that much the hotel and the room properly as we were there to prepare a wedding. However instead of this, it was really easy to check in even late in the evening + the room itself was comfortable and with enough space for all our luggage.
Cons: Maybe the location is not the best you could find if you are walking, but great choice if you have a car or a bike. Also the bathroom could have been better as not a lot of supplies. Breakfast had not been tried - no time.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The ground floor reception / breakfast room is very pretty and tasteful. We enjoyed the garden outside, unusual to have this amenity in the city centre. Both ladies who we met were lovely and helpful. It's an interesting walk into town (look up at the wooden sculptures above shops!) Also near the fabulous Jardin des Plantes. I would stay stay at Hotel Saint Yves again.
Cons: Our lovely triple attic room didn't have a door to the ensuite shower room, just a curtain, so there was limited privacy. Not many eating opportunities nearby.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel staff gave us great advices about food and the city !! Relly helpful ! The room had a very nice view on the garden . We had a nice coffee early in the morning for free, too ! Wonderful!!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful staff and relaxed clean hotel in central location. The cat was also a perfect host !
Cons: Nothing

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was beautiful and the staff where so friendly!
Cons: Didn’t have any view just a ceiling window to the sky!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location and the beds
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: High new level of how the staff can be impolite and rude
Cons: The room was full of mosquitos and when i asked to change the room she said the hotel is full and come to the reception so i can show it to you after that she hanged up the phone The room service was the wrong order and he said i have to sign for it as he is not going and coming back again
6.7 Good
Pros: Architecture
Cons: Our room was 25% hallway and the bed crowded by a wall mounted TV. €6.25 for a tiny bottle of tonic water. And it was suggested (by a very helpful young lady) that I should go to the bar myself to save a €7 room service fee.
3.8 Mediocre
Cons: Booked a room with a view. Got a windowless room. Only walls all around. Requested for a change. Got a small room with hardly a "view".
8.3 Excellent
Pros: spacious superior room & very comfortable bed with simmons matrace
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location, beautiful building
Cons: 15euro to park the car...
7.1 Good
Pros: Beautiful building on the outside, converted from an old court building. It's in a convenient location and walkable to all the main sites.
Cons: The room was old and worn. We upgraded when we arrived to a suite and it really was no worth the money. It had skylights instead of windows and the decor was old had seen better days. The main reception area and bar are decorated freshly and modern. The rooms were like they were part of another hotel. It wasn't what I'd expect from a Radisson.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous building, peaceful and quiet location
Cons: The hotel bar closed rather early, and the breakfast was poor value
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very high quality hotel in majestic building, very well run and maintained. Staff made room available early to fit with our travel plans.
Cons: Nil
5.4 Okay
Pros: Location and staff
Cons: Room was very disappointing Attic room on 3 floor with only velux roof window And no bath Dark and low ceiling Carpet looked grubby We paid for superior room so it was disappointing If we had booked direct with hotel we feel we would have gotten s better room
Mercure Nantes Centre - Grand Hôtel - Nantes - Building
11
8.5 Excellent (4,726 reviews)
Overview Reviews
The Mercure Nantes Centre Grand Hôtel welcomes you to the heart of Nantes. This central downtown location is perfect for both business travelers and tourists and provides quick and easy access to La Cité events center and Nante's main cultural attractions. Everything has been designed with your comfort in mind: modern and cozy rooms, lounge bar, fitness center and meeting rooms, not to mention the new Easywork concept exclusive to Mercure.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: That parking was available albeit very tight and expensive.
Cons: The rooms were dated and it seemed like they had simply slapped a coat of paint on to spruce the place up. The shower wouldn’t stay up at head height. The wifi was awful and wouldn’t stay connected. The Bath was dirty and you couldn’t shut the door until you were in the bath as there wasn’t enough room for a person. The bathroom floor was dirty. The seperate toilet felt like a public toilet cubical and the floor wasn’t clean. The bed was so hard, possibly would have been more comfortable on the floor. For the price paid, in comparison to the other hotels booked on my trip to France, this was the most expensive and by far the worst value for money.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Quality of the hotel and its facilities, right in the centre of town with secure underground parking. Great restaurant the Entrecote, directly opposite but only if you like steak. They don't sell anything else. Get there early because the queues are huge.
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent. Staff were very helpful and tolerant of my terrible French! Excellent location.
Cons: Bathroom a bit small but not a huge issue
7.5 Good
Pros: Clean and good location
Cons: I would have expected usb ports
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great, central location. Secure carpark in the building. Helpful, competent staff.
Cons: We took the low cost room which turned out to only have a window onto an internal light well.
7.9 Good
Cons: Wider selection in the restaurant/bar.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Bastien did a great job, explained things clearly to me and provided assistance as needed. I can tell he likes his job. The breakfast was good and I appreciated the accommodation.
Cons: There were some kind of street work (Couedic street) which was a little bit noisy (particularly when you're trying to rest as I cam here for.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Hotel was clean, employees were very helpful. Good location.
Cons: Constructions of building next door cause noise in the morning and throughout of the day.
7.5 Good
Pros: Friendly fine for overnight stay
Cons: Not great coffee/tea facilities in room

You will discover in their gastronomy French restaurants, their passion and creativity with the fresh local products. After a moment of relaxation in the outside Jacuzzi®, and take a drink in our bar.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We booked this hotel as an en-route hotel following our visit to Nantes. It is several miles away from the centre of Nantes in the Beaujoise District so not convenient for the city centre. However as we only needed it for a Bed and Breakfast it was fine. The hotel is well designed and laid out. The staff were friendly and helpful. A limited supply of meals are available or you could use the Michelin listed restaurant next door. There is a lake just two minutes walk away and you could walk for several miles along the lakeside if you have the time.
Cons: Not a criticism but a comment the ‘Egg Cooker/boiler. Apparently you need to turn the knob on the front when you use it to ensure water boils continuously. This wasn’t obvious and myself and another guest just assumed the water was thermostatically controlled and held at boiling point. This was a wrong assumption and we both had undercooked eggs that couldn’t be eaten. Perhaps a note or advice on using it would be useful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff helpful and attentive. Good location and breakfast very good.
Cons: Nothing.
7.1 Good
Pros: the location is situated near a lake, great to take a walk. The room and the bathroom were reasonably large and clean.
Cons: we came rather late and wanted to have a few drinks. The restaurant sent us away as we did not plan to eat though there were many empty tables and we were hotel guests. It was the only way to have drinks outside. In the lobby, the receptionist gave us warm beer (she had no fridge for drinks?) and tried to make tea with warm water (not hot). Both beer and tea were rather expensive. The choice at breakfast was limited. Fruit salad was offered in tiny portions and was offered rarely. Such a breakfast was disappointing for a 4 star hotel. A hornet was flying in the lobby, also close to me. People with allergy to bites would not love it. The receptionist found the hornet ok.
6.7 Good
Pros: The room was lovely , and the hotel was clean and stylish. The staff tried but were struggling on all levels and to provide the standard you would expect from a 4* hotel!
Cons: Best Western is an international hotel chain. Our stay did not reflect this and there was very poor service for check/in , room allocation , bar drinks and dinner. Overpriced food, drinks and undertrained staff. Disappointing .
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel has no dinner facilities but there is a restaurant (separate business) next door and another 500m away. The hotel receptionist was SO helpful with this and booked us into the restaurant.
7.9 Good
Pros: The hotel is located in a quiet area, close to a lake and a walking path, however it is quite remote, so I would recommend it only if you go by car.
Cons: Scarce in toiletries and room amenities, which should be better for a 4* hotel.

Pros: Great location - and a lovely, well-appointed and good sized room. Plenty of space for a family of three.

We had to transport our bikes up the stairs to get out of the building.

Pros: Convenient for a one night stopover for ferry the next day. A reasonably central location near a pleasant square with restaurants. A bonus for us as we have a classic car was the secure underground parking with good car space.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This entire hotel was exceptional! The European breakfast each day was perfect for our needs. Also, the snacks and aperitifs in the club "lounge" each day were a welcome respite from travel and sight-seeing of the day. Most importantly, the STAFF were amazing! They anticipated our every need and were conversational in English, as our French was minimal, this was a great asset to us. The staff helped us navigating the city, recommendations for restaurants, and securing a cab ride to the train station on our departure. Henri and other staff went above and beyond to make our Okko Hotel stay memorable. We would recommend this hotel a 100 times over to anyone visiting Nantes! Okko Hotel is a beautiful gem in the heart of an amazing city. We plan to travel to Nantes again soon, and would gladly stay at Okko Hotel again.
Cons: Because my husband is very tall, (6'6"), the bed and shower were a little small for him. But we managed, and loved all the other hotel amenities.

Pros: The hotel was near the railway station which made it convenient on arrival in Nantes. The rooms were spacious and quite well equipped. The lift was large and easy to transfer luggage to the room. The breakfast was adequate, although there was no scrambled eggs, sausages or bacon.
Cons: The biggest problem we had was with noise during the evening.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We have been there before and decided to stay again. Good location, comfortable enough, convenient, spacious, nice staff, clean, everything we could expect from a place like that. Lots of light in the room!
Cons: There could be hangers at the entrance for the coats and a place for umbrelas. Nantes is a city with lots of rain so... It would be nice to have extra pillows. The air conditioner could not be adjusted. You have to go with the temperature the hotel decides it is best.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location is perfect, right in the centre. All amenities needed are available and the room is quite spacious.
Cons: Of course, since it is in the centre, it can be quite noisy even at night. Thankfully, earplugs were readily provided with the room and helped me get some sleep nonetheless!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is in a great location as it is right in the centre of the old town, within easy walking distance of the historical sites and bars. The tram stop is at the bottom of the road if you want to explore further.
Cons: Two suggestions to make finding the place so much easier. 1) Have some signage actually at right angles over the doorway so you can see it from down the street.!! Yes, there is a huge red sign over the door but that's not visible until you're actually outside, 2)Make it much clearer in the web site details that you need to look for FEYDEAU car park. In hindsight it may seem obvious, but when you arrive in an unfamiliar busy city in heavy traffic and your Sat Nav cant take you to the hotel its a nightmare. We just followed anything that said Parking and ended up a fifteen minute walk away, whereas if we'd have known we could have been just over the road.
