The location right in the city centre and opposite a couple of bars!.
Lack of an in-room safe I,am very security minded has i,ve been burgled at home a couple of years ago.I had to carry my passport around with me whilst out in the daytime.Plus i heard someone walking up and down the small corridoor in the early hours on my second night i felt very in secure about this.

The location was unbeatable. Outside the door there are cafes and restaurants where you can eat or drink at, or walk a few minutes away to more restaurants on the pedestrian zone. This place is very close to Place Royale, Basilique St Nicholas, and there are many shops in the area for people who enjoy shopping. The room has large French doors which opens to the street, but there wasnt a balcony.
The bed was ok. My partner felt that it was sagging in the middle and has a bit hard time sleeping. The bathroom door kept opening; it was difficult to try and close it. But the bathroom was fine by French standards.

Central location, friendly, helpful staff.
Lots of stairs to climb. We were on the 3rd floor. Also, it's important to read the attachment sent by the hotel when you've booked. We assumed the reception would be manned when we arrived at 14.00, but the hotel was closed until 16.30, so we had to drag our cases around with us for 2.5 hours. Had we read the instructions, we would have known that, if arriving outside reception hours, we should have let the hotel know and we would have been allowed entry. Our fault for not reading this, but we weren't the only guests who made this mistake, as other hotels usually have someone available at reception all day.
