9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely location away from the centre, with a beautiful park nearby where I could walk my dog. The room was large and very nicely designed. The restaurant specially prepared a vegetarian dish for me which was very good. Staff were very friendly.
Cons: The room was at the top of the house and was warm. 2 of 3 windows did not open. Luckily I had a fan.
7.5 Good
Pros: IT was more then ok
Cons: Notice the adress...the same was into the city of Nancy
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great little pearl in an oasis of calm...
7.1 Good
Pros: It is a well appointed hotel in a good location in the suburbs overlooking the town. The staff are efficient and helpful.
Cons: We were informed on our arrival on Friday that we would be better on the second floor as ‘a group was arriving’ on Saturday. We were NOT told about the loud disco/party which continued until after 3am on Sunday morning. We were given a discounted price for that night but would have preferred a good night’s rest as we were travelling that day (being on the second floor made no difference to the noise in any case.) Disappointing, particularly as the hotel describes itself as ‘a haven of tranquility’. You would be well advised to check that your stay does not coincide with any similar event. An email to the vacationing owner remains unanswered which may be an indication of how guests are regarded by the establishment.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very large rooms that were a little tired. I would describe this place as a restaurant with rooms, the dinner we had was superb.
Cons: nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The excellent diner in combination with the great location makes it a strong recommandation..It was after a long drive a relaxing expierence
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was basic and vey bread based but still nice and there was sufficient of it. Evening meal was excellent. Room large and very comfy. Parking excellent.
Cons: Lots of stairs.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: An interesting building with unusual decor and furnishings. Very comfortable bed. Excellent shower (though separate toilet).
Cons: Very warm night and only a fan to cool the room. Breakfast was disappointing. Very basic and no fruit available.

Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Superb staff, AC worked great, awesome location close to all the old town sites & cafes/bars, nice clean bathroom with amenities, beautiful old building & very secure.
Cons: Parking is limited in the area; however, we reserved a space and it was not a bad walk to the hotel.
7.1 Good
Pros: The location is very central and the room was well furnished and had a great view. Breakfast was very good too. In general Nancy is very beautiful and definitely worth a visit
Cons: I arrived by car on a Friday night and most streets were pedestrianised and all sat nav’s were taking me through those. This happened after an 8-hour drive and I was exhausted. I had to call the hotel to inform them that I would have arrived past 9pm and then they could have told me. The hotel must send an email with instructions; it’s cost them nothing and it would make our life so much better. Also no lift to bear in mind for those who aren’t super agile
7.1 Good
Pros: The old building is marvellous, rooms are spacious, the location is excellent.
Cons: The breakfast experience was not up to the hotel level or our expectation. Although a high quality ingredients are offered, everything is slow and we had to ask for each and every thing like bread and water to be refilled...
Hotel De Guise - Nancy - Building
4
8.8 Excellent (1,385 reviews)
Overview Reviews
A stay at Hotel De Guise places you in the heart of Nancy, within a 10-minute walk of Place Stanislas and Musee des Beaux-arts. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff.
6.7 Good
Pros: The property is smart looking. It’s modern, it looks like it’s been recently renovated, it’s in a good location for the prettier parts of Nancy, and the staff are really friendly. We didn’t eat here so cannot comment on the breakfast. All this points to a positive review, however ...
Cons: The smell, everywhere. The reception smelled of stale food, the common areas smell either musty or damp, and our room was overpoweringly pungent. Imagine the smell of millions of car air fresheners trying to mask what I presume would otherwise have been the smell of damp. WiFi was intermittent, cleaning staff left dead flies by the windows, the sliding door to the bathroom didn’t slide, our room - which was outside, above the laundry - wasn’t signposted, nor was the route lit at night. We wanted to like this place, but wouldn’t stay again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is beautiful!! The decor and the architecture is divine. Definitely recommend staying here. Plus the staff was so friendly and helpful.
Cons: Nothing to dislike :)
7.9 Good
Pros: the old stairs, the decoration of the room and the location. also the staff was friendly
Cons: The bathroom had a smell. we had to close the bathroomdoor
7.9 Good
Pros: Great location! right in the middle of old town, with dozens of 17 and 18 century mansions around and in just 5 minutes walk to the gorgeous Place Stanislas. Hotel staff is extremely welcoming and very informative.
Cons: Impressive entrance, large hall, beautiful large antique stairs but when we found our 'Classic Double Room' we were unpleasantly surprised about how tiny it is. Certainly as 'double' Modern design (small) bathroom works well but lacks authentic details, same as the room itself. The only beauty of the room is a big wall painting of Fragonard - initial reason of our booking actually. Breakfast is basic, all things packed in plastic or glass except for bread. Probably kind of new regulation for hotels (?) but makes it less personal.

Cons: Parking is expensive. There is a little in front of the hotel but this if limited. There is a large multi story over the road but you have to negotiate the one way system to get to it
8.0 Excellent
Cons: Poor wi fi and hot water for shower
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good central location Paid parking closeby
Cons: Boombox noise from barbershop across the street that lasted all day, it did stop at 7pm but it is abnormal In the evening, lots of people on the street that can be heard (if it is warm and you have to leave the window open), so overall can be quite noisy unless you book a room looking at the garden.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great room, staff and location. We got a free park out the front by arriving just before 6.00pm.
Cons: In the evening we successfully connected to their wifi but it said 'no internet', even in the foyer. Wifi worked in the morning but it was slow.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: will be fantastic when the renovations are completed (but that is no excuse to hike the price…)
7.1 Good
Pros: Staff were friendly, place was clean despite building works outside the window. It will look great when the refurbishment is done.
Cons: Very tired decoration needing a full refresh to bring it up to standard.
7.0 Good
Pros: Convenient location, clean room, close to several restaurants, recommend a visit to Hotel Excelsior for a great meal and fantastic service, just a short walk from Best Western
Cons: We booked at Best Western for location and their website said they had parking. That was not so, parking was some distance down the street in an expensive garage. When we questioned the staff member who checked us in , she was rude and dismissive, saying "its not her fault"
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good bed, clean bathroom, very friendly and helpful staff. Also the location is great for what we had to do in the city.
Cons: We had breakfast at the rush hour and had to wait a little for the coffee. Also, the price for the breakfast is a little steep ! I would have considered 11 or 12 euros per person reasonable, 14,50 is a little excessive.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect. And the room is quite big and is equipped with everything we needed. I saw that they're having a renovation plan, and I'm very looking forward to the new crystal hotel.
Cons: There could be more food choices at breakfast.
7.7 Good
Pros: Large room and television with two English channels for news. The location was convenient to sights, restaurants and shopping. Staff was friendly.
Cons: Our room was fairly spacious, but the furniture and decor were all dated and a bit tired (particularly the hair dryer). Lighting could be better--we were there for a couple of overcast days and, despite the large windows, could have used brighter or larger light fixtures to see around the room. As elsewhere in Europe/France, I find the breakfast prices too high to be worth taking.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: All refurbished. Very quiet.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nicely designed room, with all simple things that you need, good parking nearby, pleasant staff. I had a view through the window to nice old school building on the opposite side of the street. Good value for money. Did not take the breakfast (option is proposed at check in), so can not rate.
Cons: 35 minutes walk to oldtown. But it was ok.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location was good and they had secure parking which you did have to pay for but that is fair enough. The bedroom had double open doors and a small balcony which was good. The breakfast was very good value for what you had to pay.
Cons: I could imagine that it would be very hot during the summer, we did sleep with the double doors open as otherwise it would’ve been to hot.

Grand Hotel de la Reine - Nancy - Building
1
8.3 Excellent (1,843 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Grand Hotel de la Reine in Nancy (Nancy City Centre), you'll be steps from Place Stanislas and 2 minutes by foot from Musee des Beaux-arts. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Beautiful building
Cons: The hotel is worn out..
7.1 Good
Pros: Breakfast was good. Hot food as well as good supply of pasties
Cons: No extractor fan or opening window in bathroom. Only one pillow each. Had to park in public car park which cost about 15euros but it was quite close.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect, a historic building on a gorgeous clean square next to a beautiful park. The gates and fountains on the square look like Versailles. The friendly staff made us feel welcomed. The room was pretty and the beds were comfortable. Note that it’s worth the money to upgrade your room from the basic room. Upgraded room had pretty white marble bathroom, coffee maker, tea kettle and mini fridge, the not upgraded room had no extras, brown tile bathroom and was tiny. Upgrade!
Cons: There isn’t much to not like. Minor maintenance issues in both rooms. Wallpaper needed fixing. Coffee maker needed cleaning. One of our rooms was hot from direct afternoon sun, and we could not cool it off with the air conditioning/built in fan in room. Leaving window open resulted in loud partiers keeping us awake until late in the night. Minor annoyances, we still loved our stay.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: This hotel in the grand old style is in a fantastic position right on the handsome Place Stanislas, which is traffic free in the summer months, including September, and full of lively activities, both cultural and culinary. The old town in Nancy with its adjacent park is very pleasant to wander around. There is a good choice of reasonably priced eating places and there are a number of architectural gems to be admired.
Cons: The room felt disappointingly dingy and the bathroom sink was badly damaged (cracked and chipped), so it looked dirty, even thought it was actually clean. We weren't staying long, so I didn't complain, but it should have been replaced. Probably worth paying for a Superior room.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: This is the iconic hotel of Nancy, a city with mediocre hotel offerings. It is located in an 18th-century nobleman's palace, whose guests included Marie Antoinette. I have stayed here several times and have noted that it is fraying at the edges. To use the French term, the hotel is "vielli". It has not been well maintained lately, as it is about to be closed for all of 2020 for a major renovation, reopening as a five-star hotel in 2021. The location is in the Unesco World heritage Place Stanislas, which houses the Nancy Opera, the Fine Arts Museum and one of Nancy's oldest restaurants, the excellent (and reasonably priced) Grand Café Foy. Staff is very helpful and willing to help. We were given a free upgrade to a better room when my wife complained in no uncertain terms about the size (or lack of size) of the room we had booked.
Cons: See above regarding worn state of hotel. No minibar or refrigerator in room. All this is irrelevant since hotel is closing for a complete makeover.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location and the breakfast in in wonderfull room !!
Cons: The carpet in the bedroom was not very clean
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Situated right in the square with bars and restaurants all around

Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful, the beds were SO comfy ! The hotel is not one of the biggest Mercure hotels, so there is not a big restaurant , but we still had a lovely meal in the bar. Breakfast was a really good choice of hot and cold food, and the scrambled eggs were the best !! Also after travelling to a few different places over previous days, it was so good to have a kettle in the room to make tea/coffee. It's the little things that make a place so good !
Cons: Nothing not to like, it was all good !
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location is great with parking Good breakfast
Cons: Air conditioning wasn't working
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location convenient for centre. Like the Art Nouveau style. Breakfast was nice as usual.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Very poor breakfast - even though we were neither early nor late most food items had run out - and were very slow to refresh (if they did at all). The breakfast staff were poorly dressed and seemed not to have a "customer focus" in their attitudes. We have been travelling in Europe for 6 months, and this was our worst hotel experience by far.... definitely not value for money. Despite these deficiencies - which I raised at checkout - we were still charged the full amount. I would have expected some small recognition of these deficiencies - perhaps by waiving the parking charge (or similar).

Cons: Vintage elevator.
7.5 Good
Pros: Very convenient location.
Cons: The room was small.
6.7 Good
Pros: Convenient to station and price is not too bad. Room was recently painted, and clean. New bathroom fixtures. Bed was comfortable.
Cons: Neighborhood is rough. Hallways and lobby a bit spooky. Elevator was ancient. It is still in transition - exterior signs still say Qualys - Hotel Foch. Recent upgrades seem hurriedly done - shower door had a 2-cm gap at bottom so floor and wall got soaked.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The girl receptionist who received me the night of my arrival was very professional pleasant and gave right away the right direction in order to go and buy a pack of cigarettes. The room and the shower were clean and fresh. The personnel was professional. No noises. I really enjoyed my stay at your hotel and will be back on oct 16 or 17. Regards
Cons: The fact that two clients of the hotel were speaking very loudly during the time I was having my breakfast!!!

Pros: Everything we need was around the corner.
Cons: Location!!!!Nice hotel
5.8 Okay
Pros: The location near the town centre
Cons: Noisy room due to walls lacking soundproofing. On a business trip, I left one day early because of the noisy street (trucks in early hours) and noise in adjacent rooms and corridor. No manager were on duty on my departure day to let me know if I could be reimbursed the 2nd night that I didn’t use (or pay a penalty for leaving early). I was told to come back 2 days later after the receptionist would ask advice to his manager. 2 days later, when I returned, the staff on duty didn’t know anything about what happened and said no manager was there to sort it out. I had to insist to be reimbursed the 2nd breakfast and the 2nd night city tax. In this particular instance, there was a lack of communication between the staff and dire need of management presence.
