The owner was incredibly gracious and helpful. I arrived in mid morning, too early to expect a room to be available. Instead of telling me to leave my luggage and return in 5-6 hours, she stored my luggage and settled me in the charming breakfast room with a pot of ho tea and assured me my room would be ready in 20 minutes. What a pleasant and welcoming gesture for a newcomer to Munich. She escorted me to my lovely room overlooking a lush courtyard as I finished my last cup of tea. My luggage had already been taken to my room. Hotel Olympic was ina central location, and I would return there without hesitation.
I can’t think of a thing.
We were given a room with a small side room attached. Of course, this was an upgrade that we very much appreciated since we were traveling with a child. Also the breakfast was fantastic. There was so much variety and it was a wonderful start to the day. The location was excellent too. There is a popular bakery nearby.
There’s not much to not like. But being with a child, one of the art pieces was a little too nude-y perhaps. Also the cost was likely the most we have ever paid for a room, but it is Oktoberfest and we were even upgraded. So I don’t feel bad. At all.
ROOM WAS VERY CLEAN- BREAKFAST WAS GOOD
THE ROOM WAS VERY SMALL AND HOT. COULD NOT OPEN WINDOWS DUE TO NOISE LEVELS
I was very pleasantly surprised by the manager who thoughtfully provided gluten free bread on my second day there. I mentioned my intolerance in passing to the waitress the day before and she must have informed him. It's always the little things that really show the true colours of service.
Nothing jumps out at me. The decor is a little traditional and that works just fine for me.
