Cons: The hotel is next to a very frequent road and the sound isolation is about 98%. For normal people this is pretty good, but if you're a light sleeper like me, a strong motorbike will still wake you up in the night. Not a big problem tho.

Cons: I have booked Premier room category for recent weekend, to be precise 11th august. Very much disappointed. During the period of my absence in the evening time my personal items disappear from the room. I have informed the Reception desk about the loss. They told me to send email, but after 8hr even I haven’t received any answer and made them a call. With no apology, they said let me inform that we did not find anything. Given the price i have paid for the stay, which is the most expensive in the city in comparison with other similar level hotels nearby, I get this quality and service, very much corresponding to Hostel. I would not recommend this Hotel at all.

It is situated near one of the biggest roads of Moscow, but inside of the hotel it's really quiet inside (also in the rooms) and there are great views in the restaurant on the 33rd floor. Location is good, just a 5 minute walk from the train and metro station. Literally everything about this hotel is good: the breakfast with a lot of choices, everything is fresh and eggs/omelets are made fresh. The room was clean, with an amazing bathroom, great beds and pillows, a lot of amenities. The staff is friendly, helpful and attentive. The executive lounge has a great ambiance and offers really good food. The lunch is rather limited, but we had a great diner on one of our days there, with fresh fish, mashed potatoes, vegetables, salad etc etc. I would recommend to have breakfast in the main restaurant since that offers more choices than the executive lounge.

Pros: This hotel is class and clearly deserves its 5 star rating. The staff are pleasant and offer an excellent service. I would highly recommend spending just a little more to upgrade to the Swiss Business Lounge, which entitles you to breakfast, lunch, snacks and a dinner offering. With dinner there is plenty of wine, beers, soft drinks and water available all of which is inclusive. The staff in the lounge are always pleasant and address you by name, which is a nice personal touch. The Spa, Gym and swimming pool is top class. If you like your fitness this hotel really caters well for such requirements. The City Sky Bar on the 33 floor is stunning and by night offers a view of Moscow that you can’t get anywhere else. So overall a fantastic hotel with great service and facilities.

Pros: This hotel was amazing. It is situated near one of the biggest roads of Moscow, but inside of the hotel it's really quiet inside (also in the rooms) and there are great views in the restaurant on the 33rd floor. Location is good, just a 5 minute walk from the train and metro station. Literally everything about this hotel is good: the breakfast with a lot of choices, everything is fresh and eggs/omelets are made fresh. The room was clean, with an amazing bathroom, great beds and pillows, a lot of amenities. The staff is friendly, helpful and attentive. The executive lounge has a great ambiance and offers really good food. The lunch is rather limited, but we had a great diner on one of our days there, with fresh fish, mashed potatoes, vegetables, salad etc etc. I would recommend to have breakfast in the main restaurant since that offers more choices than the executive lounge.
Cons: The airconditioning was rather noisy and the bedroom was not completely dark. But ok, I need to have a complete dark room or else I am not able to sleep.

Pros: This hotel is class and clearly deserves its 5 star rating. The staff are pleasant and offer an excellent service. I would highly recommend spending just a little more to upgrade to the Swiss Business Lounge, which entitles you to breakfast, lunch, snacks and a dinner offering. With dinner there is plenty of wine, beers, soft drinks and water available all of which is inclusive. The staff in the lounge are always pleasant and address you by name, which is a nice personal touch. The Spa, Gym and swimming pool is top class. If you like your fitness this hotel really caters well for such requirements. The City Sky Bar on the 33 floor is stunning and by night offers a view of Moscow that you can’t get anywhere else. So overall a fantastic hotel with great service and facilities.
Cons: The only tiny negative is the location of the hotel which is about an hour walk from the sights and a 20 minute taxi ride which is approx. 1000 rubles (£10.00) each way. But don’t let this put you off...

Cons: The public areas of the hotel are otherwise so disappointing! Sterile glass partitions, sparse business centre style furniture dotted around, garish green and blue carpets. Such a shame! Judged on this alone the Metropol could be any anonymous business hotel in China. Breakfast was an eye-watering 2500rubles, that glass ceiling can't justify that. There are excellent eating options minutes away where you'll eat much better for a fraction of the price.

Cons: Upon check-in we received a key to someone else’s room and entered it while the guest was in the toilet!!! Really not a pleasant experience not gave me comfort of security. I made sure to lock my room at all times. The bedsheets seemed unclean and and wrinkly, towels were rough, there was a mosquito in my room, and some staff unhelpful and rude. Alexey at reception and the bell boys were the only nice ones. The rest were rude and unhelpful. Its a shame. This hotel with proper service and cleanliness would make a hotel with an excellent rating.

Cons: The stuff is very slow both on reception and during the breakfast. Always needed to ask to update with toiletries in the room etc. Our check-in was really strange, on the 30th of August the reception stuff was not friendly and smiley, our room was prepared for one person with toiletries and bottle of water. It was absolutely unexpected and disappointing from such level of the hotel. It’s a standard thing. But still some of the stuff was helpful, helped to print a boarding ticket (although it’s a normal thing in such hotels). The funny thing is if I speak English during my stay, it feels that the stuff is much nicer to you :D. However, I always speak Russian language when I am in Russia as I am original from Russia. But it’s a certain difference regarding the stuff.

Cons: Panorama restaurant has mediocre food at high prices. Frequent malfunctions of elevators and access cards. Instructions for reaching the fitness and health centre not so obvious. It is on the 4th floor, but you cannot access it directly from the main hotel elevators, you have to go to 1st floor and to another body of the building to a special elevator form where you go up to the 4th floor.

Cons: On the last day of our stay, we were told that there will be repair for hot water supply system, so no hot water until 6 am. We waited until 7.30 am for the hot water. As we had to catch our train to St. Petersburg, we had to leave the hotel. So hotel saved us from a hot shower that day!

It was so bad that for the last few days you had to exit through the side entry of the building. The bed cover was too small for the bed and when two people were in the bed one person was half uncovered.

Cons: The bed the bed the bed it was reaaaaaalllly sooooooft very very soft bed if us not used to soft beds then this is really bad unfortunately.. we had back pain from the first night After complaining thank god they responded .. they suggested to but a wooden piece between the bed and the mattress .. mmm it wasn’t the best solution the bed became very hard but well that was the only solution for the rest 4 nights They didnt have an iron in the room and we had to ask every time .. one time they were too late so we just had to leave and the other time they kept it outside the room without knocking the door!! The employees are juts not bothered we were very disappointed.. they greet us only if we greeted them first! No suggestion was given or they didnt mention anything about the metro so we didnt get any information from them .. well thanks to google we got everything we needed!

During another night a nearby restaurant played loud music. If you have issues falling asleep, it may be problem.

The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything happening next door. Bed sheets were not changed daily and the room was not cleaned very well. My coffee cup wasn’t clean and had lipstick marks. Everything in the bathroom was not replenished each day. The reception employees were not flexible upon check in.

Cons: Had to pay extra for fresh squeezed juice which is usually offered free in most 5 star hotels. The staff at the Spa area were too busy chatting to assist guests and seemed bothered by guests wanting assistance. The pillows were horrible even though we requested specific pillows the ones that were requested were worse than the ones in the room. The shower looked dirty and not well fitted in. The fitting in the bathroom for the shaver was broken. Amenities in bathroom not good quality for this type of hotel. Check In was not a great experience, no smiles, not welcoming at all. Hotel menu book in room was water damaged. No glasses in room we had to request it. Very disappointing as we stayed in Inter Continental before and this hotel doesn’t meet up to the expectations.
