Amazing house with rooms facing onto the interior patio, quiet despite being located on the main road, and well located no more than a ten minute walk to all of Morelia's central attractions in a very safe area with plenty of restaurants open late into the evening. Plus the best host/proprietor we've ever had at a hotel or b&b.
Not a negative and more just a thing to be aware of is that hot water's only available in the mornings.
I liked the tranquility of the place. The atmosphere, is colonial and welcoming. The patio is nice to relax in the morning. My room was quiet, and honestly I was surprise since is in a main boulevard in MOrelia.I slept through the night all the way to the morning...almost missed my delicious breakfast.
At first., I was concerned because the door lock is old and I felt unsafe. Even, consider not staying,But after talking to Raul, and how he was always on top of the safety of the guests. the little issue did not bother me no more. Satying was a good decision.
The breakfast was wonderful: A plate of fruit and sweet breads, then a choice from the menu. We enjoyed the classical music during breakfast. The common areas were lovely.
It would have been nice to have internet in the room, not just in the common areas. Also, we found the location to be quite noisy.
Our host Raul was great, explained the history of the home and city. He also ordered us a taxi for an early morning departure and made sure we got up and in it by 5am. Breakfast was great too including fruit, pastries and delicious coffee. We chose this place based on the excellent hospitality reviews and prime location and were not at all disappointed on either front.
The beds were not the most comfortable but my sleep didn’t suffer. I do wish there was a large jug of drinking water instead of single serve plastic bottles.
The place is really nice. The attention of the owner is amazing.
The bathroom is small. I have a private room
