Kayak ripped me off
I booked this hotel last minute. An unexpected death in the family prevented me from going on the trip. I called immediately to cancel. The "policy" for the hotel was cancel at noon then day of arrival for reimbursement with no reimbursement of the first night. Understanding this I requested reimbursement of the second night. The hotel desk would not reimburse and said I needed to talk to the manager. I attempted to get a hold of the manager however he never answered or called back. I called Kayak to get help. Kayak called the hotel and was told now that the manager has left for the day. Kayak PROMISED me they would get a hold of the manager the following morning and then report back to me. It's been 48 hours since then, my credit card has been billed the full amount and I am still yet to receive a phone call from Kayak OR the hotel manager. Typical customer service of large companies in today's world.... bill your credit card, promise returned calls and then forget about it. I will not be using kayak to book any more unless they can prove they care about their individual customers.
Room was great, breakfast was a challenge

The breakfast staff need to improve their process. They ran out of most of the protein for 20-30 minutes.... Is should be a sin to run out of Coffee at breakfast...especially when you put out three pots of regular and allow all of them to go empty
