Yumotokan is by far the best place I have stayed in Japan on this trip. While it may not appear like a traditional 5 star hotel, this is a very old style guest house, the service is 5 star, and I felt I was getting the true Japanese experience. The staff were exceptionally kind, and I forgot to order a meal at the time of booking. I did so on the day, and it was not problem. I am a vegan and again it was not a problem at all. The meal was the absolute best I have had in Japan, home cooked with wild vegetables from the area. It was amazing. Breakfast was again incredibly delicious. Very traditional Japanese food.
It was absolutely perfect, no complaints! I wish I could have stayed longer. I will definitely go again to this beautiful guesthouse. The onsen was fantastic. The food was absolutely delicious. Nothing was a problem at all for the staff and the owner for us, they went out of their way to make us feel comfortable, and very welcome!
I like the onsen itself and the room and also the food
