The location was excellent, easy walking to many historic buildings. room was comfortable, very clean and roomy.
I really can't think of anything to criticize.
Central location, nice pool view from the balcony. Offsite $75 parking was close enough and nothing was stolen out of the car
The cockroach in my shoe this morning was shocking and disgusting. With the low sound insulation I am sure all the folks eating breakfast in the courtyard heard me scream. That was just the icing on the cake. This hotel has a strict 3 pm Check in policy, which is fine, the building is old and not well maintained, there was only one 3 prong outlet in our room, mould around the bathtub cocking, the shower head in the bathtub is very low, for someone 4’ tall. Funky antique headboard is cool, except all the wires for the lighting in behind are exposed... they look very old. Tiles in the bath, main room and balcony are cracked and chipped need to wear shoes. Music heard till 11 ish which is not so bad but the dishes from the tables being set at 6am was not fun. Did i mention the cockroach!! For $2,300 I would have expected something better
The hotel is perfectly located right in the center of Mérida and close to many restaurants. Well decorated, spacious rooms. Nice to have a pool after a long day. Staff was welcoming and ready to help.
The bathroom was almost inacceptable: old, dirty and smelling. The ceiling was musty and the shower head rusty. It was overall pretty gross. The pool needed to be cleaned a bit more than it was due to the many trees nearby. The staff did not speak a word of english, despite their best efforts. Finally, it was really weird how little trusting the hotel was: we had to give our credit card to open de fridge even if we did not take anything and just wanted to keep the water fresh; we had to sign a discharge to borrow pool towels and they had to verify the room before letting us check out. Overall, our stay was not terrible but we wouldn’t come back.
Loved the location and the friendly staff.
We've stayed here many times over 20 years; always a good, reliable choice. Also, there is finally a restaurant in the hotel that has survived for years!
Air conditioners should be updated; some are old and noisy.
