Virginia was so welcoming and accommodating. Our room was available when we arrived at 9:00am which was unexpected and SO welcome after a long overnight flight. When we were unable to pick up a WIFI signal in our room, she moved us to another, upscale room at no extra charge. Our room was beautiful, with balcony overlooking the bougainvillea filled pergola. The location was perfect, with restaurants just around the corner and the tram stop 2 blocks away. Virginia was an attentive and intuitive host!
Very nice owners, very comfortable room, quiet area, close to restaurants and supermarket, really nice balcony and garden area. Recommended as a peaceful place to stay, within easy walking distance of the interesting city center.
Room had a bad smell, chemicals or moldy not sure. Small place, nice yard, decent location, reasonable price, though booked in dollars and overcharged in pesos.
This accommodation is basically a Airbnb property. Owner sends a message, (in Spanish) through WhatsApp with instructions and a video on how to pick-up keys to enter property. When we arrived, it had rained the night before, there was water from a roof leak all over the bedside table. Also a long black hair on the bedsheets. The room smelled musty and was in need of some maintenance on the wardrobe sliding doors. We asked for an alternate room, but the room shown to us was in a worse state than our room, with dirt on the floor and on the bed pillows. Payment is cash only, Peso or USD. Breakfast is minimal and left in a fridge the night before. The room had no privacy with the room opposite right outside our only window.
Beds and pillows are nice and no noise. Location is very good. Room was spacious for 2p (though we slept in a 4p room). First place where we got fruit at breakfast (peach, grapes and melon)
Communication with the host was very difficult at times (English language is a big problem). Upon arrival we didn’t receive any tips or recommendations for the area (we were helped by other friendly hostels in the neighborhood). Host isn’t around either to ask questions. Upon departure we were woken up by the host by knocking our door for no reason (just to check on us, bit strange). No bin in the room, no coffee at breakfast.
