Cons: Pool could be warmer..
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location! A little bit pricey but was worth it for the free shuttle service which was available every day until 11 pm. The room was of reasonable size and was clean with a small kitchen and coffee machine.
Cons: The menu at the restaurant could be more variable. Staff should explain additional charges better at check-in to avoid unmet expectations. Consider increasing the number of toilets in a chalet for 6 people.

Cons: Nothing! Just a SPA is missing...

Hôtel L'Alpaga - Megève - Building
4
9.1 Excellent (249 reviews)
$1,247+
Overview Reviews
Like a mountain hamlet, the Alpaga’s chalets emerge at the edge of a winding road, clustered around the hotel’s beating heart: the main chalet and its restaurants, the gardens, pop-up bar and hot tub with views over Mont Blanc. Enjoying a cosy, stylish and warm atmosphere in winter and summer, it plays host to regular and casual visitors alike. Our rooms and chalets enjoys views over the high mountain pastures and surrounding peaks through wide picture windows. Their warm, contemporary aesthetic is inspired by the traditional architecture of Megève, which gives pride of place to exposed surfaces and fine materials. Welcoming, spacious and filled with light, our rooms invite guests on an inner journey to a world of pure relaxation. Whether nestled by the fireplace, sipping an in-room cocktail or enjoying a gastronomic lunch in the sun… This high-altitude hamlet is perfect for spending quality time with friends or family. Covered with a mantle of powder snow in winter and lush green pastureland in summer, the view over the Aravis range is breathtaking. For La Table, two Michelin stars restaurant since 2020, Anthony Bisquerra draws inspiration from the Alpine environment to craft menus that mirror the changing seasons. From the Atlantic coasts to the Megevane lands, Anthony Bisquerra has built strong relationships with local craftsmen. Passionate about the taste for good products, he offers an exclusive menu using vegetables about which he gives a particular attention.
7.9 Good
Pros: Beautiful property Lucy Svetlana Ksenyia You were the best thank you for your services ladies
Cons: Lack of professionalism from the staff (I asked one lady from restaurant staff to bring me salt & pepper she said ok the n she went to chat with another colleague neglected my request so i had to go & pick it myself) Poor breakfast selection no hot meals except eggs Late response (they will not pick up the phone let it ring for over 3 times to be answered) Shuttle service is poor (I wait 45 minutes to have the shuttle to pick me from the center after several calls) Overall it was not good experience & I will not recommend it to others!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Gréât viennoiseries and pancakes at breakfast. Jeoffrey the barman is exceptional, one of the best in the world. Great cosy nights with drink in hand.
Cons: Onyx bistro menu is quite limited, would be an issue for a longer stay if they did not offer the free shuttle to town. Especially lacking fish and vegetarian choices
1.0 Poor
Cons: Due to the increasing Coronavirus threat, we first wanted to cancel our trip. The Hotel told that they were able to keep only 50% of the total as a credit to be used during a future stay. As the situation got worse each day, we asked the management to treat the case as a force majeur and refund the total amount, We clearly explained that we had elders in our family and did not want to take the risk. The global company (operating in 106 countries) that I have been working for 25 years issued a global travel restriction just 2 days before our travel to Megeve. I shared it with Alpaga and rather than the refund, they "exceptionally" approved a 100% credit. The whole accomodation cost would have been wasted in a year's time and therefore, reluctantly, we made the trip. Given the Coronovirus outbreak, it was a quite annoying, stressful and uncomfortable trip. Instead of a pleasant welcome at the reception desk; the lady with whom we exchanged emails earlier sounded like she did not even want us there! No smiles, no eyes contact... The overall attitude was unacceptable at a time like this. On the otherhand, the guy at the bar and the 2 amazing gentlemen who drove us to the resort and restaurants were really the best in class. Always caring and helpful. It is key to note that the ski area, the hotels, the restaurants etc were almost empty. From the guys operating the facilities at the ski resort to the ones at the restaurants, everyone was talking about substantial cancellations. For 2 nights, the reception declined to take us to our reserved restaurants claiming that those were located bit far than they typically transfer to and asked us to arrange a taxi. We arranged a taxi but it was strange as the distances that we traveled to were no different than the other 2 nights. Last day,we asked for a late checkout at 2pm. The reception told that this was doable at Eur50 per hour. At a time when hotel was not booked fully, this was an unrespectful ask.

3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Close from city center (15 min walk)
Cons: Really dirty, the apartment was different from the pictures, smaller and older. We were really disappointed this time.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Easy to get in and out, good size bedrooms (but beware one of them hasn’t got a window)
Cons: You have to rent bed sheets and towels
7.1 Good
Pros: Not too far to walk to the village
Cons: Kitchen cooking utensils poor. Only 2 knifes for 6 people. (we were only 2 people) No dishes to use in the fantastic oven. No spatulas to remove food from oven. Short of kitchen bread knife. Comment, just a few little extras in the kitchen will make a huge difference to guests. We did have a problem with one double bed, but resolved extremely quickly when ringing the manager., and bedding supplied at no extra charge for the 2nd bedroom which had 2 single beds.
6.3 Good
Pros: apartment is nice and renovated, but issues
Cons: noise, apartment 306 is on main road .During summer there is a lot of noise when you open the windows to get air inside., which you need to do when temperature is 32 degrees outside.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Property was warm and there was always hot water.
Cons: The property could be quite nice but needs some serious attention. Issues we had were as follows: - Back bedroom does not have any window or any other ventilation other than the door to the room. - Bedlinen had to be ordered and paid for separately. - Not enough electric sockets. There are only two for the kitchen and as the appliance leads were not long enough we had to stack them all on top of each other. - Two light bulbs were not working. - There was a ski locker in the basement but no keys provided to use it. - Five of the plastic dining chairs were cracked up the middle. - There are no hooks in the bathroom for towels. - The device securing the shower head does not work. - There is a small kitchen sink with no draining board and there were no tea-towels supplied to dry. - The coat rack was in two sections (although we fixed that).
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great value for money, close to Le Jaillet lifts. Gorgeous view out from the balcony. Comfortable bed and well equipped kitchen. Close to CarreFour, a good patisserie called Pains Bio and a good Italian restaurant. A comfortable walk into Megeve town.
Cons: Unable to store backpacks after the checkout however we were able to find some lockers at Le Jaillet. Missing some dishwashing liquid.

Cons: The rooms are small and a bit outdated
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff on reception were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: I was on the 4th floor and the water pressure was not great and the water was not very hot. The views were spectacular though.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Reception staff in morning was nice
Cons: Very hard bad beds especially in trunk beds ( lit superposé), bad sound isolation and small rooms Quite far from Megève center
6.7 Good
Pros: The location, the swimming pool, the sauna
Cons: This is the first time in more than 10 years that I was misled by a booking.com description of an hotel. Nothing is false but it doesn’t tell the whole story. Chalet le Prariand is not a standard three stars Hotel. The property belongs to a retirement union of French employees of Notaries. It is managed by a company focusing on senior citizen 50+ (and their tribe, mostly seniors with their grandchildren). They sell bundle of room (half or full board) to group of retirees and advertise the vacant ones on booking.com. It is impossible when you book through booking.com, to know if you will get a room facing the Mont Blanc Valley (south) or the north face of the Hotel facing also the mountain but without any nice view nor balcony. After you have booked they offer you an upgrade price +50% to get the nice view with balcony. Even the upgraded one are very very very tiny, with no room to store your suitcases but under the bed. Breakfast buffet is decent, although croissants and Danish are frozen industrial goods. Meals are very basic two choices of appetizers and two choices of dish sometime well prepared sometime so an so, a couple of time our portion of meat was around 50g good enough if you are over 85!! The price is cheap for Megève 21€ but you are better off if you drive 1.5 mile to Praz sur Arly where decently price restaurants give you a much better deal. Most of the dishes are based on frozen food. Service is generally good and courteous, but we were very upset by their stubbornness regarding table allocation in the restaurant. Table mapping is set once and for all at the beginning of the week and even if a table with nice view is available you won’t get it and be pushed in a corner or behind a pillar. Complain to the front desk was inefficient. We have never seen that in sixty years of extensive travel. We will report that to the CEO Nicolas Delachaise.
7.0 Good
Pros: The facilities were spotless and the staff was helpful and friendly. It was great to be able to take our small dog to stay with us (up to 8kg).
Cons: Our room was quiet but very small. We stayed for one night with little luggage - we couldn't imagine staying longer in that size room.

7.0 Good
Pros: 1) 'Chalet' styled room with modern bathroom 2) Location 3) Friendly staff 4) We got free breakfast due to the noisy night (see below)
Cons: 1) Our room was bright during the night due to its translucent curtains and the light coming from the street. I could almost read a book without having the need of a lamp. The management should really add proper curtains, so that the rooms at dark at night. 2) Very noisy, making it impossible to sleep. Maybe we were unlucky with the room (nr 17), but it was located in a 'sub corridor' with room nr 18. Unfortunately for us, the people of nr 18 seemed to be awake all night, opening and closing doors every hour. The walls are definitely not soundproof and we could sometimes hear talking. So in conclusion, if you're a light sleeper, I wouldn't recommend this hotel (unless some other rooms are completely different than ours).
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely loved the hotel and the staff were exceptionally helpful and nice. Overall rather expensive. A shower in the sauna area would have been nice ( did I miss it?)
Cons: Although the hotel restaurant Le Petit Nicholas (I think) was excellent the vegetarian/vegan options were poor (same as many restaurants in Megeve)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: warm and nice to stay
Cons: breakfast could be better and more choices
