Il Vicinato, casa vacanza immersa nel cuore dei Sassi

“I arrived 2 hours earlier than I thought I’d arrive and host was available to take me to my room in 10 minutes!! Light, roomy, newly updated apartment with spacious bedroom, bathroom and foyer. The breakfast included Matera bread, homemade pastries, pancetta, creamy yogurt, cheese, choice of coffees and nice china. The host had baked some of the items and is meticulous in what she does!”

“We had a lovely stay at Il Vincinato. Breakfast was served next door and was very nice with fresh fruit and ricotta and excellent Matera bread. Helpful suggestions available on what to see and how to get about. It is possible to take a bus from the station and get near to Il Vincinato without having to traverse many steps (don't take the Google route - many, many steps!)”

“A beautiful, atmospheric and spacious property right by Sasso Barisano, perfect for exploring Matera. The breakfast was wonderful, served next door by one of the very friendly hosts. Nice to have a table and little kitchen area for making tea etc. NB There are a few parking spaces nearby on Via Bruno Buozzi, but it’s a narrow, busy, cobbled street and - especially if you don’t have much luggage - you’re probably better off parking a bit further away (e.g. one of the streets off Via Lucana) and walking in.”
