great view from breakfast area
We stayed in this hotel for one night during our visit to Machu Picchu and Wayna Picchu in October. We arrived at night by train and at first, we thought the hotel was right by the train station. There’s another hotel with similar name. We had to leave early morning for our Tour. We had to leave our luggage for storage and the hotel staff was very accommodating. The person at the front desk said that they had a locker and if we wanted, they can also deliver to the train station. We decided to just pick up our luggage at the hotel after we get back. We were satisfied with our stay especially with the good rate. We selected this hotel based on recommendation of the tour agency and it had good reviews on TripAdvisor. The customer service is excellent. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good.
The only thing that annoyed us was the noise outside at night - a dog barking and kid crying. The room was also cold and we didn’t know how to turn on the heater. Our room was clean, though small.
Rooms and bathrooms are very simple. Nothing extra special about them, but it's a great, cheap spot to stay in the area - and if you're in Aguas Calientes you're probably not spending much time in the room! Short walk to all stores and restaurants. GREAT breakfast view (breakfast itself was fine). Helpful and friendly staff. They brought our bags to the train for us which was very appreciated as well. Overall, good stay!
Very well decorated hotel, they did a great job at making it looking like a traditional mountain chalet. This unfortunately involves small flights off stairs to access the room. The terrace for breakfast is superb.
The rooms are ridiculously small, without even a chair to sit on - and obviously no space to put luggage without blocking the way or the door. The hotel is quite far (at the scale of Aguas Calliente) from the station - make sure to ask for "transfer" when you arrive to avoid dragging your bags up hill. Value for money is clearly not good, but in Aguas Calliente I'm not sure you can hope for much better.
The breakfast was good and had a beautiful view. The room and bathroom were very nice and clean.
