Pros: The location of the hotel is great, it is in the centre of town near the townhall. The property doesn't have a parking, you might end up pqrkinh in the parking lot nearby. The rooms are very clean and very confortable and clean, with a high ceiling, 4 m high, which is caracteristic of old buildings on the Croix Rousse hill.

Pros: The location just over the river from the old town was ideal and as it is located up a side street it meant it was quiet at night for sleeping. We were all pleasantly surprised with the St Vincent considering it is rated as 2*. The hotel was very clean and the beds were comfortable . The concierge on our first two days there was very helpful and recommended a couple of local bouchons to eat in. The breakfast for €7 consisted of a croissant, 1/2 baguette, jams, natural yoghurt , apple puree orange juice and hot drinks. Overall we had an enjoyable two night stay.

Cons: At checkout, I was told by staff they were too busy to call me a cab. As an overseas, single female traveler, it would have been nice if someone would have had the professionalism to at least suggest a cab company. I suppose this facility feels once they have your money, they can behave as ill bred and boorish as they do. I won’t return, there are comparable establishments in the area.

Cons: The woman at the coffee shop is obsessed with French language. She gives you a quick lesson before you get your coffee in the morning. She is annoying.

Cons: The bathrooms had limited facilities and were constantly messy and covered in flies especially by the sink areas. For a hostel the guest kitchen is a little poor , One camping style hob which means you are limited to what you can cook. The Hostel does offer breakfast , lunch and dinner however, starting for about 5 euro and it is great and really popular with the locals too.

Cons: Room 202 - Shower too small - ridiculously small Toilet room also too small Check room before accepting it, as facilities differ, other rooms had better bathrooms. Toilet creaks when sit on it - will it break off wall ?? Need another lift - only one lift and it is slow. Internet disconnects immediately when close ipad or iphone - Must click log on every time to internet - other hotels connect us again automatically.

Cons: Easy to trip on a small step when getting out of the elevator and another small step when entering the guest room, but the front desk staff warned us about this in advance, so we were prepared.

Cons: The room was the ugliest room I have ever stayed in. It was painted purple and orange with colorful polka dots curtains, david bowie poster right next to the bed and a vintage not working TV. The shower didn't have hot water at first and it took it a good few minutes to finally come. The pillows were not clean. The photos here in booking are nothing like the reality.
